 Crises management is situation that helps business in dealing with sudden uncertainty of
market situation that impact adversely on its functioning.
 Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that typically affect respiratory tracts of mammals
and humans starting from common cold to several diseases such as severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome.
 This presentation will analyse impact of coronavirus on tourism sector at domestic and global
level.
 It also explains about currents changes in tourism policies due to increase in coronavirus
diseases in China

 To analysis crisis management in tourism due to Coronavirus in China.
Type of tourism management
 Management of tourism requires a lot of skill and there are wide varieties of opportunities that are
related to travel and hospitality industry. Tourism management includes activities related to marketing
of tourism and thus helps in utilizing money and leisure time of people. The category to which this crisis
belongs to is mass tourism as large group of people visit china every year. As china was fourth most
visited country in the world and contributes to 21% in world international tourism. But due to increase
coronavirus in china Asia tourism industry has faced economic and financial crisis as well.

Justification
 From the above analysis it can be stated that due to coronavirus in China's tourism industry at
domestic and global level has adversely suffered as Chinese are one of the major tourist in various
countries.
 But due to increase is the spread of Corona virus in china most of the countries has banned tourism with it.
 Thus, it has reduced number of tourism in Asian countries due to ban of in and out flight from and to china.
 Due to threat of coronavirus tourists are not willing to visit Asian country thus it has adversely impact on
whole economy.
 It has also impacted tourism at international level as 3 billion trips are cancelled because of coronavirus..

 Data collection is a process that gather, measure and analyses information regarding particular
topic that is used by individual for specific purpose.
 It helps in answering specific questions and evaluate outcomes for which specific data is
collected. There are two method for collecting data – primary and secondary
 . Primary data collection methods are those informations which are collected by research itself
by means of survey, interview or experiments so such data are generated from first-hand source.
 As primary data are generated from original source, so the degree of accuracy of such
information is high but it involves a lot of time

animals to human. According to Zhu and et.al., (2020). Corona virus has created a large impact
on various sectors. Major sector which is affected by coronavirus is tourism.
 Coronavirus has affected tourism in many ways which in which most of the flights is
banned in Asian country from and to china. Many countries has banned china tourist also to their
country. As per Camilleri , (2018) Winter season is best tourism in china but due to this virus the
tourism of china result very drastically. It can also be said that this virus has struck china which
has also affect china economically. Other than this both domestic and international Chinese
group of tourism is banned in china as well as in Asian countries

visit.
 As in winter season china is consider to be visit as a best place but due to coronavirus tourist cancel their flights. (Huang and
Chen , (2016) stated that due to this virus china has also affected economically.
 This virus also affect the hotel , restaurants as well as cruise ship people cancel their bookings from hotels. China was one of
the main source of tourism but due to this virus it faces a very drastic impact. Due to this virus Chinese cannot go to any other
countries to visit.
 Tourism policies play a very vital in achieving objectives of tourism. It is a set of decision and government policies
which helps government to achieving objectives of tourism.
 It also helps in dealing any issue or crises related to tourism because tourism industry is the industry which get effected by
any change, disaster or crises

 According to Liu, Pennington , and Krieger , (2016), as this virus create many drastic change in which
first was the cancelation of the flights, second reduce the tourism from china and third it affect china

measure which are wearing masks , stop avoiding vehicle in the context of spreading of coronavirus.
 Schools and colleges were remained closed due to this coronavirus. Martens, Feldesz and Merten ,
(2016 ) stated that people who has visited to Wuhan were instructed to be isolated (remain far away
from the place) for a couple of weeks to avoid spreading of coronavirus

declining employment and revenue generating in tourism sector.
 At last stage media inform people about cause and effects of coronavirus to economy and tourism
industry. It in media cover all details related to how coronavirus has spread and impact on industry, local
people and tourist.
 It affects employment level, health and safety of people and disposable income of people living in the
society.

 As per view of Coccossis, (2016) tourism management is essential for every country as tourism
contributes a large share in GDP and growth and development of economy by generating
employment and enhancing knowledge of people.
 It also states that due to ineffective management of tourism, it leads to tourism crisis as it is not able
to cope up with new situation or uncertainty.
 By continuous supervising and monitoring tourism industry can be protected from such threats.
 Various policies of government such as free healthcare facilities and arrange transport for people of
china so that they can come back to their country.
 It has also restricted people to gather in crowd at certain place and stop use of public transport to
avoid spread of coronavirus between people

industry is a sensitive industry it needs to be managed effectively as uncertain factors impact
tourism at both domestic and international level.
 Due to coronavirus, tourist are less willing to visit Asian countries and cancel their bookings that
has causes huge losses to airline industry, hotels and hospitality industry

 Tourism is a process of effective utilization of leisure time of individual thus offering them pleasure and relaxation
by spending time away from home.
 Management of tourism is necessary to protect tourism industry from threats of uncertainty such as coronavirus in
china has impact adversely on tourism industry.
 Ineffective management of tourism has led to crisis in tourism industry as most of the countries have banned flight
in and out from and to china in order to protect itself from such diseases.
 It has impacted adversely on entire Asian continent as number of people cancel their trip due to increasing threats of
coronavirus in china.
 Airline industry has faced huge losses which has adversely impacted GDP of economy. Government are taking
steps to reduce spreading coronavirus in china by informing people to wear masks and suspend public transport.

Learning outcome as per my view
 As per my view tourism management is crucial for effective functioning of
tourism industry thus promoting growth and development of industry and economy.
 Continuous supervision of internal and external environment promotes industry from
various threats and uncertainty such as coronavirus in china.
 Policies of government also helps in smooth functioning of businesses and protect it
from various threats.
 Impact of coronavirus diseases was so disastrous that it impacted not only domestic
tourism but also tourism at an international level.

Further investigation and research of management

 This topic can be used in further investigation and research by researcher to develop
style of management to be used for providing protection from various threats or uncertainty.
 It is an important aspect of crisis management for economy and tourism industry that need to be
more evaluated and analysed more insightfully for smooth operation in the future.
 It also helps in finding gap and deficiencies which has lead due to crisis in tourism industry.
 Further it helps in evaluating how adversely and to what extent such uncertain factors can hinder
tourism and economic growth.
