Lorde Reading reflection
“The transformation of silence into language and action” the author Audre Lorde defines that
if we silently see someone to be facing discrimination but do not take any step, this is an
injustice. From my aspect, I thought this book defines that we should take an action if we
know that injustice happened with someone who is not responsible for that, we should stand
for that person and should seek the truth (Audre Lorde 41). After reading this book, I
recognised that this book had described the silent, if we die then we can’t speak anymore and
thus, we should speak the truth in the proper time for others or ourselves. If we are afraid to
speak the truth, it is an injustice for us or others because time is not waiting for ours. We
must say about what we believe because if we remain silent for this time, it could create a
sense of guilty (Audre Lorde 43). We must stand against injustice, we must speak the truth,
but we believe, we must overcome the fear of speaking truth. We must speak the truth if we
know that is an injustice. I think this book defines the problem of being silent properly; if
readers read the book properly, then it helps to overcome the fear of speaking truth against
injustice.
Hanh reading reflection
“True Love: A Practice for Awakening the heart summary” the author ThichNhatHanh
defines that the author wants to improve the understanding about the love by being involved
in each moment of the love. After reading the book, I recognized that the author focuses on
the four aspects of the Love, the first aspect of love, Loving-kindness, and benevolence
which stated that loving-kindness has an ability to bring joy and happiness in the life of our
beloved ones, it makes happy to our beloved ones (ThichNhatHanh 3). The second aspect is
compassion which defines that the understanding is the main key which has the ability to
understand beloved one’s pain (ThichNhatHanh 4). The third aspect of love is a joy which

defines that joy is the main sign of true love. If you suffer from pain all the time it is not true
love. The fourth aspect is freedom defines that if you loved someone then you should provide
freedom to the beloved person and the author also stated that "Love is being there" means
being present is the best part for your loved ones and also give value to the presence of your
beloved ones that is sign of true love (ThichNhatHanh 6). I thought this book gives a clear
vision of love by defining this way.
Palmer reading reflection
"Let your Life speak listening for the voice of vocation," the author Parker J Palmer said, " is
the life I am living the same as the life that wants to live in me?" The author implies that the
meditation which helps to find the way we love to live and it is the best gift for anyone's life
(Parker 3). From my aspect, this book defines what life is and what it wants from you, what
gives happiness to your life. Life is not what we want to do. It means that let check what is
life telling about you, about your truths (Parker 7). The author said that meditation is the main
key to find the truth about our life. I thought this book gives real perception about someone’s
life if anyone does not find a way of life, cannot see what they do with their life then they
should read the books, and this book allow someone to communicate with their inner self
which helps to find the way of life and gives real happiness.
