INTRODUCTION
Motivation is the most crucial element that is required by an employee to possess the
work in superior manner. Organisations are required to have highly motivated workers to meet
the business objectives (Bromiley and Rau, 2016). Thus, it is foremost duty of the managers and
human resource management team to ensure that the employees of the workforce are motivated.
Also, they should implement effective motivational technique sin the work place. The present
analysis is performed by Guclu and Guney (2017) and is done to evaluate the effect of
motivational technique s used by the managers to increase the productivity of the work of the
employees. In addition to this, the strengths and weaknesses of the article will be discussed.
MAIN BODY
The present article is based on significance of the motivational techniques for increasing
the productivity of the employee. The most relevant thesis statement for the article will be-"
Motivational techniques used by managers and their role in boosting the fecundity of the
employees". In addition to this, it has been observed that the article answers the question: "How
can managers increase the productivity of workers by using motivational techniques?".
The present article is proved effective in explaining the different strategies that a manager
can use to enhance the motivation of the employees. The study has been conducted by using
primary sources as research tool. The data has been collected from the employees of a textile
industry. The research has involved total of 229 participants in which 183 were employees and
rest were the mangers of the textile sector. It should be recognised that the data is gathered with
the help of a scale and questionnaire. Besides this, information from primary sources is very
effective as it is based on the practical facts and states the real situations (Goodwin and Graebe,
2017). In addition to this, the article contains numerous tests such as Statistical package for
social science to study the impact of motivational techniques on the employees. In addition to
this, the educational status is considered in determining the differences. This is performed by
conducting Kruskal-Wallis test. Thus, from these points the accuracy of the article content can be
observed. However, there are some lacking points in the section. It has only emphasised on the
textile industry and hence, the research can not be used by the managers of other industries in
improving the motivation of workers. It should also involve some common theories that can be
applied by others. Also, researcher should conduct interviews of the managers to attain the
required knowledge.

I believe that the article is presented in an effective manner. The involvement of
employees and managers as the primary source is helpful in understanding the actual situation. In
addition to this, I have read the various testes and their results and found them useful in
determining the impact of motivational techniques used by managers in increasing the
productivity of the work of employees. Besides this, I have observed that the article was
presented in a step-by-step format which is helpful for other employers to learn and implement it
in their workplace. I further ascertained that the outcomes were analysed using various
techniques which is really recommendable and provides accurate data. I have further noticed that
the data were categorised according to various demographic factors such as gender, age,
education, assignment, income, marital status and term of office. This segregation of the
collection of information will assist in understanding the needs of people of different groups and
thus, relevant strategies can be designed (Gould-Williams, 2016). However, I ascertained that the
article should emphasise more on the general context understanding rather than focusing on a
single industry. Also, the role of human outsource management in increasing the motivation of
employees by various actions was missing in the article.
I agree with the thesis statement, " Motivational techniques used by managers and their
role in boosting the fecundity of the employees". The article contains all the methods that can
boost the motivation of employees working in the textile industry. Besides this, the outcomes of
these tests were analysed effectively to gain accurate results. Managers from textile industries
can use this information and motivational technique sin improving the productivity of the work
of employees. However, the topic should also add a term such as: "'A case study on Textile
industry" to signify that the work is useful for which sector. Despite of this lacking element, the
article is observed to be effective.
In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the article, three relevant articles are chosen to
critically analyse the present one.
According to the Aina (2014), it is necessary to keep the employees motivated so that the
overall performance of the organisation can be raised. This articles has mainly emphasised on the
concept of job motivation among workers. In addition to this, different type of motivation were
explained so that strategies can be designed. The theories that are mentioned in the article
involves the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Herberg’s Motivation/Hygiene, Magregor’s Theory X
and Y, Process, Equity, Expectancy and Goals Setting theory (Graf, Lachance and Mishra,

Greenfield, 2016). Besides this, the influence of these theories is also explained in detail so that
one can apply in their organisation. However, there are some factors which are not covered in
this articles such as the role of manager is not explained, the impact of human resource
management is missing, etc. Further, the significance of motivation of employees in increasing
the productivity is not covered. The conceptual applications also lacks the empirical verification.
Also, no practical tests were performed to analyse the current level of motivation of the
employees. In addition to this, a wholesale adoption of the different theories has not been
possible (Goodwin and Graebe, 2017). Whereas the present article covers all these elements.
However, it may be recognised that it is completely based on the textile industry and similar to
this, the report of Aina, (2014) is also emphasised on the constructional companies. Hence, the
content of the research will not be effective for the managers associated with different business
sector.
As explained by (Maduka and Okafor, 2014), no business can run smoothly without
having motivated employees. It is required by the management to implement suitable tactic to
enhance the motivation level of workers. In this article the data is collected using primary source
as research tool. Two questionnaire sets were developed to understand the view points of both
the staff and the employers. The reasons of the low motivation of the people working in
manufacturing industries of Nnewi were observed. The factors that are mainly considered in this
evaluation are the salary, incentives, promotion, over-time allowance, etc. The main findings of
this article is related with the different needs of high and low level working staff. This study is
useful in determining the reasons of low motivation of workers with their job role. Besides this,
the presentation of the article is impressive and recommendable. There are further some
recommendations provided in the study which will help in improving the motivation of the
workers. This research is in context with the people of Nnewi only. It may however be
recognised that the author has already mentioned this in the topic. In contrary to this, the roles of
managers are less emphasised. Thus, this articles does not fits the actual criteria of analysing the
methods that employers can use to increase the productivity of employees by effecting their
motivation.
As per the views of (Ganta, 2014), most of the employees need motivation to feel good
about their work roles. It has been explained that few of them gets motivated by money and some
are recognition-oriented. The main objective of the organisation behind increasing the motivation

of the workforce is to boost the business performance. There are different tactics that can be used
by employers to inspire the employees to work (Singh, 2016). In this article, these techniques are
explained in detail to understand their impact on the employees. In addition to this, the methods
in which it enhances the performance are also mentioned. It has been observed that this article is
more effective as compare to the other three. All the factors that are required in motivation
development are explained along with their impact on the performance. In addition to this, the
information is general and thus, can be used by organisations belonging from any industry.
CONCLUSIONS
In the present essay, the article, "Motivational techniques used by managers and their role
in boosting the fecundity of the employees" is critically analysed by using three relevant
academic reports. By the analysation it has been observed that the present article is effective in
motivating the employees of textile industries to increase their productivity. The various tests on
the basis of numerous demographic factors and the analysation of outcomes is appreciable.
However, it may be recognised that it has been obtained to be lacking in some factors. It has
been observed that the author should mention that the article is emphasised on the textile sector.
