About the study
The main aim of this article is to provide a systematic literature review of the various
process of procurement management. The various process by the help of which a better
procurement method can be obtained have been explained in the article. Two aspects in which
the managers must look upon to formulate a better procurement method have been explained in
this article. The various procurement methods which are important in the conduction of projects
are explained in this article in a better way. The different criteria which are selected for the
implementation of an excellent procurement method have been explained in this article. All these
articled which were related to procurement method have been used in this article to gather a vast
idea about the topic and the various process by which it is implemented.
Importance of the study
Project procurement methods are very important the organizations which look forward to
provide outstanding projects to its customers. The article is important in understanding the
various factors which leads to a better and successful procurement method. The various process
which are associated with the suppliers and the clients have been explained in this article in a
proper way. The literature review draws a robust conclusion on the various papers which have
been explained in the papers that are associated with procurement methods.
Conduction of the study
The authors of this article took the help of the various papers which have been published
between the time 1973 and 2015 (de Araújo, Alencar & de Miranda Mota, 2017). With the help
of these articles the authors conducted a literature review on the various methods followed for
the conduction of s successful procurement methods. Proper keywords were used by the author

to find the related articles from the various databases. After finding all the articles a detailed
analysis have been drawn on the associated papers. The common traits of the various articles
have been identified by the authors and then a proper conclusion on the connection of each and
every key factors have been presented in the paper in a detailed manner.
Findings
From the literature review it was clear that most of the projects aim to gather better
results keeping in mind the various costs of the products, and the quality along with time spent. It
was also found that criteria holds a main place in the implementation of a better procurement
method. In most of the papers it was found that construction projects were found the most under
the procurement methods. This is mainly due to the fact that the construction industry is very
competitive and faces a lot of changes in its daily operations. Most of the authors of the articles
which were selected for the literature review had considered numerous factors which can be
associated with successful procurement methods. Both the sections of supplier of the projects
and the evaluation are seen to have the same opinion of adapting multiple process by the aid of
which decision making process can be conducted in a better way.
Limitations of the study
There was absence of primary research in this paper which was a huge drawback. Only
secondary research have been conducted in this report. With the presence of only secondary
research the conclusion which was drawn upon the literature review of the secondary sources
might not be accurate. The taxonomy which was provided in the report was based on the various
literature reviews of the secondary sources. One of the other drawback of this article is that it
does not draws any kind of discussion regarding the aspirations of the associated clients and the
suppliers.
