Your Leadership style
I would prefer to use both democratic and strength based leadership style. Teams need
strengths-based leadership so they can be strong mentally and physically. In most cases leaders
who focus on strength-based easily achieve their objectives because the team is always mentally
ready to face anything. Democratic will be practiced when a strong team is allowed to
communicate and have a part in the decision-making process. The importance of a strong
democratic team is that it becomes effective and efficient in every decided activity. Every team
member with time gets the capability to make sound decisions for the better of any organization.
Leadership principles that you would not be willing to violate (Priest, 2017).
Principles that I would not violate
Leadership principles help leaders to focus on the target goals of the team. There those
leadership styles that a leader is not willing to violate because they may lead to poor decision
making. Firstly, the focus is one of the principles a true leader has to possess in order to
understand the needs of his or her team. Focus generally refers to the concentration of what is
required. As leader one has to ensure is aware of the main purpose of the group and focus on it to
produce the expected goals. No leader will want to lose focus on the agendas of the group
because right decisions constantly occur with right concentration. Secondly, I will keep
accountability to enhance trust among the team, every leader needs to understand the impact of
their decisions.
As a leader, you have to assure your team that you are ready to support them to strive and
in case of anything you are ready to accept the mistakes that will arise. As a leader, you should

avoid giving the impression that you will put blame on other members. The success and the
progress of any team are determined by the leader’s accountability of every action implemented.
Furthermore, transparency is one of the principles as a leader am not ready to violate.
Transparency helps a leader to be reminded of the progress of the planned goals and how far is
willing to go to achieve success. Transparency in a democratic leadership team helps to bring
honesty and authenticity in the activities. The accuracy of information is shared among people
and they are able to track time of events (Liu, 2015).
The Impact of Personal beliefs on your leadership approach
Personal beliefs such as religion have a great impact on leadership style practiced by any
leader. Religion such as Christianity uses different leadership models such as encouraging the
congregation, motivating and challenging them to become better. Religion functions as the pillar
of ethics, beliefs, and morals, therefore, shaping society. The main principle of religion to its
members is to provide spiritual guidance and shape personal beliefs. Moreover, personal beliefs
can sound like an excuse to fail, in most cases most politicians when they fail to produce the
intended program they evoke God whenever they fail to accomplish their responsibilities. ‘That’s
God’s will’ and ‘With God, we will overcome’ that’s a say most leaders use in a crisis. Personal
beliefs advocate morals and ethics amongst supporters which in turn dictate how the relationship
will be among the followers in the organization (Komives, 2016).
Moreover, religion is related to a higher ethical verdict. Leaders who parade religious
outlook are likely to notice an ethical difficulty facing a union as opposed to those who lack
sacred background. Personal belief does ensure that people have trust in the proposed agenda.
This helps to build a strong team which has maximum faith in their leader to reach their desired

Lack of awareness is a problem that many leaders face in organizations, it is important to
have a solid team that is hardworking and always conscious of the beliefs. The culture of the
group does define the targets and the desire of the group. The market is always competitive and
does change with time which requires leaders to be sharp and unique to adapt the challenges that
arise. Leaders need more time to study the market due to many velocity and ambiguity in the
world. In many organization most leaders are concerned with operational distractions, they forget
to the teamwork needed in overcoming challenges (Grint, 2016). Communication, therefore,
suffers because at this point most leaders fail to recognize others because they are mainly
focused on office tasks. When the relationship between leaders and their team start to diminish it
means that loyalty also and the self-drive also stops to function.
Moreover, awareness can be recognized by providing time to your own team. At first,
leaders are always cheerful and consistent in working and communicating with their followers.
When the end product is achieved they start to prioritize other activities (Gurr, 2015). Supporters

togetherness among members of a team.
Explain what you would have done as a leader in the situation that has been identified
As a great leader, I would prefer to work on my weaknesses so as to prevent the gaps
created in the organization. I would hold one on one meetings with advisors. It is not easy to
know issues but people around you can easily see problems that have become uneasy to note. In
many cases, people become reluctant to share issues because of fear of being ridiculed. Outside
sources can easily open up to the real thoughts in just a few hours and enhance a huge change.
Secondly, I would use different assessment tools to note the created gaps in the organization. As
a leader, we have to have a strategy to understand the gaps created with our teams. Asking
anonymous question to employees helps to understand them, the different feedbacks will help me
as a leader to understand the issues in the business. Approaching your own employees allows
them to share the issues that are in business because they trust in their leader. I will make sure I
gather more data which I will intervene and train well not to repeat the mistakes.
Furthermore, as a leader I will make consistent leadership ‘Pit Stops.’ Most leaders work
so much that they forget to time to rest by interacting with their supporters. In order to be
competitive with other businesses, a leader needs to put breaks on the race so as to look at the
mistakes made on the way. The main focus a leader needs to know is what is needed to be done,
the activities that need to be stopped and the needed change in the group. I will create a culture
that supports feedback in the organization (Renko, 2015). The culture that a leader portrays to
