INTRODUCTION
In the today's era, physical education has become important part of educational line.
Football is considered as most enthusiastic game and liked by most of the students in schools
(Roth and et.al, 2016). Present report will critically analyse teaching principles and
characteristics of physical education.
MAIN BODY
Football is one of the craziest game that helps in increasing body fitness of students and
make them healthy. In recent time , physical education has become essential part of education
system in schools (Haerens and et.al, 2015). Every educational institution is hiring sports
teacher, those who can train learners well. It is essential for physical teacher that to follow these
fundamental principles strictly. Enjoyment is one of the basic principle of teaching football in
the school. It is necessary that teacher have good knowledge about this game an its principles
while teaching their students. There are many teachers those who teach them and guide students
in such manner so that they can enjoy this game and take more interest in this activity (De Meyer
and et.al, 2014). It helps in making them healthy and remain energetic all the time. It is said that
games enhance memory storage capacity of individual and student become sharp in their studies
as well. They enjoy game a lot and give more time to these games. In this condition students do
not take much interest in their study thus, they ignore it that creates problem for them in the
future. In modern period, most of the parents are complaining with the sports teachers that due
to games their children are not paying attention on their education.
Ability is the great principle which football teachers follows in schools and other sports
instructors. It is duty of football teacher to make students realise their strengths and
weaknesses(Thorndike, 2013). It helps in enhancing their confidence and boost them to perform
well while playing. If football teachers explain that particular person is good in doing goal then
individual will be able to identify their strength that would enhance their confidence. That helps
in raising confidence and skills of the students to great extent. That gives success to the learner in
their future. On other hand, it can be analysed that by making them aware of their actual strength
and weakness can demotivate others. That creates feeling of competition among them and due to
this competition, they do not behave well with each other. Sometimes this competition brings
negativity among them and they hurt other students while playing football (Aelterman and et.al,
2013).

Nurturing is the most essential principle of physical education. Earlier schools were not
taking interest in physical education, they believed that sports can decrease concentration of
students from education. But in modern educational line physical education has become
essential part. Most of the schools are giving instruction to their sport instructor that they have to
adopt nurturing nature with their students while teaching them football. It helps in gaining their
confidence and making them positive towards the environment. If they do not adopt such type of
nature then learners will start losing their confidence and they will not take participate in games
(Bachman and Scherer, 2015). Football is the game in which person can get injured so it is
essential to make them mentally prepared that if they get hurt then they do not feel demotivated.
That is why characteristic of nurturing nature is beneficial in the physical education because in
this way learners can become strong and are able to fight the critical circumstances. On other
hand, it can be critically evaluated that nurturing nature sometimes harm the self-initiate skills of
the students. Due to such type of love and affection, students do not get prepared to fight for their
own issues (Reeve and et.al, 2014). They become depended and that decreases their confidence
too.
Football teaching is quite difficult game, it is the game in which students can be hurt. In
educational line parents do not want that their children play football. It is the game in which
more physical strength is required and if the person is not having that much stamina then
individuals might get hurt too. Thus, families say to teachers that they do not want that their
children to take participation in the football. On other hand some families those who want to
make their child all-rounder they push their kids to play games so that their mental and physical
strengths can be enhanced (Pennington, Prusak and Wilkinson, 2014). Understanding is another
key principle and characteristic of football teaching. It is the duty of football instructor that they
have to develop understanding among students about rules of games and how to play it well.
This knowledge can support in improving the condition of learners Authorities organize
International and national level football games that gives opportunity to these good students
those who are good in playing footballIf they have sufficient knowledge then they can perform
well. By this way they get worldwide recognition. Thus, it is very important to follow principle
of understanding while teaching football to students in the schools (How and et.al, 2013).
On other hand, it can be critically argued that most of the people those who were good in
football game met with accident while playing this sport. It is somehow risky game because

person can get hand, leg, head or other injuries. Sometimes these injuries become so serious that
individual is unable to continue this game furthermore (Physical Literacy Educational Strategies,
2017).
Physical education is one of the most important parts of human life as if student is
playing game then it will help them to become healthy. It helps in improving immunity system
and keeps their body fit. While teaching football, teachers have to follow the principle of
creativity. It is considered as one of the essential aspects of this game. Imagination assists in
bringing new ideas through which individual can improve their game and perform well.
Imagination develops or improves the moves of a football player through which he/she can
become able to minimize the physical injuries (Approaches to Physical Education in Schools,
2017). Most of the times teachers get engaged in other activities and in the absence of them,
students can get hurt badly. But if the learner has good imagination skill then it can help in
avoiding such type of conditions.
On contrary to that most of the time wrong imagination can harm the person. Most of the
students do not share with their instructor and they use wrong moves. They think that by this
move they will be able to perform well and do goal. But such type of imagination can give injury
to the students and sometimes it can turn into big health issue (Thorndike, 2013). It is necessary
for the football instructor that they give proper guidance to players in schools It can help in
building a strong relationship with other students in the school. By this way such type of
dangerous accidents can be minimized to great extent.
It is to be said that person must have sportsmen spirit as it makes them able to fight with
critical situations and enhance their confidence. It is essential that sport instructor always pay
attention on analysing the skills of candidate and work to improve their performance level. It is
only possible when football teacher shares experience with students (How and et.al, 2013). In the
schools, learners get motivated by listening previous stories of other players. It boosts their
energy and bring sense of responsibility that how they have to play their game. It makes them
understand the way to avoid injuries and negative conditions. By this way, learners get motivated
and they not only do well in their games but also perform excellent in studies. On the other hand
it can be argued that principle of sharing experience in physical education is not that effective. It
is because; when football instructor explains experiences then students take it negatively (How
and et.al, 2013). These learners are young people so they do not have better understanding power

and sometimes, such type of experience can create a sense of fear among them. By this way, they
do not play any kind of game.
It is the responsibility of teachers that guide students well and encourage them in such a
manner that they get success. Principles of teaching is required to be followed in an accurate
manner as small mistakes can harm the career of learners to a great extent. Football is the
physical game and it is essential to be fit to play the same (How and et.al, 2013). If candidate is
not fit then individual needs to work on improving his/her health condition before joining any
game. Sports develop physical strength and mental ability of students that give them opportunity
to grow well in their future. But teachers are required to teach them well so that they can perform
effectually.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that enjoyment, understanding, sharing of
experience and nurturing nature are common principle of teaching football. It has been assessed
that to follow these fundamental rules effectively is essential so that students can improve their
games and perform well.
