Article 1 – The case of a Korean Theme Park
The article ‘The determination of recommendations to use augmented reality
technologies: The case of a Korean theme park’; was published on February 2015. The study was
conducted by Timothy Jung, Namho Chung and Claudia Leue. The study was on concerns that is
related to the augmentation reality that is faced by the tourists, their perception to measuring it
with the help of lens of DeLone and Mclean’s modified model. There are also critical analysis
and implication of highest level of innovativeness by persons’ to enhance the importance of
the AR system quality too. The article also discusses about the innovativeness at the lower level
of personal innovativeness related to the quality enhancement of the AR system and its
importance (Jung, Chung & Leue, 2015). The AR application has been classifies as market-
based. The system quality has an important factor, as the system quality have a strong effect on
the success of information system. The sample size of the study was concentrated on the theme
park that is situated on Juju Island, South Korea. The visual experience was determined by the
help of overlaying AR technologies ion the environment.
The study was conducted with the help of site based AR method, it used by computerized
book that are overlaid by 3D characterized animations played in the real world for visitors. There
were measurements taken the researchers. The model that was used in the study was consisted of
parameters or constructs that were measured by the researchers. The critical analysis showed that
the few assumptions were made by the PLS regression about the measurement scale. The study
shows some limitations which states that as the study was conducted in South Korean theme
park, how the study could be applied to any other theme park than that is questionable. Future
research on the topic could include the adoption of the recommend market based AR in theme
park context (Kwon, 2015).

The contribution of the paper is that it elaborates the aspects that have affected tourism
with significant quantifiable data. This helps in the better systematic analysis of the subject
matter. The reliance of the hotel sector on senior tourists have been essentially brought forward.
The significant limitation of the paper however is the difficulty in understanding the analysis.
The analysis part of the paper has been made difficult due to the complex arithmetical
calculations that have been made. Three hypothesis have been considered for the analysis. This
has made the work more complex. Although the findings can definitely be applicable to the
recent hotel industry. Subsequently, it can enhance the evaluation of the industry.

Article 2 – Senior Tourists’ Accommodation Choices
The main agenda of this presentation is to understand the perception and choices that
elderly people make while they are traveling. The study focus in analyzing the choices of
accommodation that elderly people prefer mostly. The presentation tries to explain to the readers
that by the end of 2030 the population of the world would reach up to 8 billion, in which
majority of the percentage would be elderly people. It can be estimated that by the end of 2030
28% of area in Europe would be composed of people that are 55 or older (Losada et al, 2017).
The presentation also provides an insight about different countries retirement ages. In different
country, the retirement age varies. Thus, after retirement most of the people tends or tries to
spend the rest of their days by traveling and fulfilling their dreams to see the world.
The critical analysis in the presentation focuses on the effect that retirements are going
to implement on the tourism industry. The advantage of the article is the presentation that tries to
illustrate the effect with the help of a graph. The graph tries to explain how the idea of senior
people taking vacation would be helpful for the tourism industry (Pezeshki et al, 2019).
The presentation also discusses limitations that are to be maintained while collecting the
data for the analysis. It states that there is no consumer segmentation when it comes to data
sampling. There are external factors that affect the travelers which limits the study.
For future research the travelling group size needs to be enhanced and that motives of
travelers may depend on travel carer patterns.

Article 3 – Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality and Tourism
The article ‘The Influence of Organizational Culture on Negative Work-Home
Interference Among Highly Educated Employees in Hospitality’ was published in the Journal of
Quality Assurance in Hospitality and Tourism on 2013. The authors Robert j. Blomme, Jenny
Sok and Debbie M. Tromp have tried to put forward about the recent development and issues
that are coming forward regarding employees of hospitality industry. The issues that are
explained in the article is about the negative effect of work home interference at the turnover of
among some extremely educated employees (Schuckert, Liu & Law, 2015). The article tries to
analyze and examine the organizational role that it plays in controlling aspects such as culture
along with the negative interference of work-home problems. The study that is included in the
article was conducted among 418 employees that currently serve in the hospitality industry and
also in non-hospitality industry too (Smith, Jennings & Patiar, 2016).
The article provides a brief analysis of the critical finding by stating that working
overtime have been related to strain based interferences and also time based interferences. The
findings in the article align with the previous research studies that provides information about the
dual process model.
The advantage of the article is that the result of the study shows that experienced
organization that have great culture among the employees and the work place have expressed the

Article 4 – Indispensable, Expendable, or Irrelevant? Effect of Job Insecurity on the
Employee Reaction to Perceived Outsourcing in the Hotel Industry
The article ‘Effect of Job Insecurity on the Employee Reaction to Perceived Outsourcing
in the Hotel Industry’ was published on 2017. The authors Pablo Zoghbi-Manrique-de-Lara, Jyh-
Ming Ting-Ding, and Rita Guerra-Báez tried to put for the study in the article that was conducted
to examine the role of job security. The role of job security could be also classified as a
moderator that ignites the destructive nature of responses that employees provide to the
outsourcing of perceived service of labors. There have been previous studies on the topic that
claims that outsourcing of labor services might not be viewed as a favorable effect by the staffs
of hotel. However the article strongly argues against the analysis of these previous studies. The
article concentrate on their part of analysis that gives an idea how outsourcing could be a useful
mean of strategy for functioning of a hotel effectively, the perception of outsourcing may
provoke the employees react in a non-favorable way (Zoghbi-Manrique-de-Lara, Ting-Ding &
Guerra-Báez, 2017).
The critical analysis in the article places another argument that stated that the reactions
of the employees towards outsourcing becomes negative when the staff notices that there have
