INTRODUCTION
Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) refers to the professional expectations which are
effective and provide information to the social worker which can allow to provide information
about each and every stage of career. There are various domains of the Professional Capabilities
Framework which may include professionalism, values and ethics, diversity, rights, justice along
with economic wellbeing, knowledge, critical reflection along with analysis, intervention &
skills and context and organisation. Here, self-evaluation can help to provide better learning
opportunity that are effective to provide better improvement in care services. This can also help
to provide better opportunity make some improvement in own working and use those
improvements in the professional practices (Howells & Bald, (2022)).
MAIN BODY
Domain 1 Professionalism:
Professionalism refers to use of different skill, good judgement along with polite
behaviour which care generally expected from any individual or person who are trained to
perform that job role appropriately. It can be demonstrating through providing maintaining
professional boundaries and respect along with being reliable through upholding the values of
social work practices. Here, as social worker there is need to perform some role and
responsibility that may include self-care, practice, conduct, safeguard as social work professional
and self-development (Cummins, (2018)). While providing the healthcare services which can
help to meet the PCF which are effective and allow to provide better help in getting better
healthcare services which include providing better and effective response through taking care of
patient through providing better care for effective delivery about making motives, beliefs and
values. During the placement, there was need to provide better and effective response towards
providing care to the people.
Performing my professionalism, I was able to meet the requirement of professional
regulator, In this, I need to perform family assessment which can be effective that can help to
provide better safety to child F.Here, child F has the behaviour which include aggressive and
purposely try to harm child T. I need to perform my professional role to understand about the
effective and better supervision that can help in accountability and better development in the
professional reflection. I also perform my responsibility for managing where I need to interact

with all the family member in the child care centre. I have also contact with child F and their
family. It also help me to recognize a personal experience along with awareness which can be
effective for the self practice. It also help to maintain professional and personal boundaries
(Teece, (2018)).
Child A has a down syndrome in which I need to provide proper care and support. In this,
I needed to perform my professionalism in more effective way that can enable me to perform my
role of duty and provides supervision to child a in appropriate way. In this, I needed to take care
of child safety and ensure that they should not be any type of harm to children, I also needed to
perform my professionalism. I have also planned for some services which should be effective
and can help to maintain the movement which are needed to identified during the assessment. I
also need to perform my professionalism through interacting with different agencies that can be
helpful and supporting child A. It can also help me in my personal experience and awareness that
can help to maintain professional and personal development with some boundaries.
Domain 2 Values and ethics:
While providing the social work services, there is responsibility to perform their role in
effective way which are associated with performing those ethically. There is also need to ensure
about taking care of effective role to get engage in ethical decision making. In this, there is need
to implement the service through partnership that can allow social worker to perform their role in
more effective way. There is need to ensure about following the values and ethics which are
associated with providing better and quality care services to their client. Here, it is also essential
to take care of effective learning which are associated with improving those services to support
their client in more appropriate way. Values like authenticity, honesty and trustworthiness can
lead to show the vital signs that are effective and may help to deliver those to establish better
social work practices to support their client (Joynes et. al., (2019)).
During the placement, Child M was a baby girl who have a mixed heritage and white
British and black Angolan. In this, there was need to provide better understanding about the child
development which can be effective and can help me to identify the need and promote better
safety and nursing in home environment. In this, I also need to perform my ethics and values
where I needed to get aware about the impact of domestic violence on children's development.
This can also allow me to provide better safe environment to children for their development.

Here, I have performed by ethical responsibility to this make decision for promoting stable
involvement for child M (Hemerijck, (2018)).
As working with child T, I need a to take care of better responsibility through
maintaining record. In this, I have to follow all the values and ethics at my workplace where I
need to record all the necessary things which has been visited during home and care centre. I also
need to get there all the shared information between professionals and agencies which can help
in meeting with children's parent that I have also perform my values and I think in more
appropriate way. It help in recommendation to supportive strategy along with action plan for
positive outcome.
Domain 3 Diversity and equalities:
There is need to ensure about taking care of every individual without creating any type of
discrimination that can help to provide better care and support to every individual through
providing equal opportunity to every individual (Prestridge, (2019)). Social worker also need to
ensure about taking care of each and every individual which are effective and can provide better
response to better care. There is also need to provide diversity which are effective and provide
better inclusion of effective care to people that are allowed through providing positive value
those identified about the differences. Social worker need to provide proper care services that
include providing equal opportunity to provide better support without creating any type of
discrimination or any type of inequality. There is also needed to ensure about taking care of
individual about better and effective which can also help to improve client health along with
quality of life.
As a social care worker, there is need to ensure about take care of all the children within
child care home that are effective that can allow to provide better impact on providing equality to
every individual (McCafferty, (2022)). In case of child T, I need to perform my job role in more
appropriate way where I need to perform and promote diversity and equality within child care
centre. In this, I need to take care of all the four children in the care centre where meeting with
parents can help me to ensure about safe environment. Here, as a social care worker there was
needed to perform well which taking care of each child in the child care home. There was needed
to provide equal opportunity to every individual which are effective and provide better response
to child for their better growth and development. There is also need to provide proper equality to

every children in the child care home that are effective to help for improving quality of life with
proper growth and development.
During the placement, there was also needed to take care of children that allow to provide
better opportunity to every individual who come from different diversity and culture (Roberts,
(2019)). In case of YP, who is a girl of Indian or Asian descent need to take care of proper
diversity and promoting equality where she have some issues which include self harming
behaviour. In this, due to having all contact with YP, there is need to share all the information
with Agencies and professional involved that can help to promote better inclusion for diversity
and equality to promote better and supportive help through different agencies and professional
involved.
Domain 4 Rights, justice and economic wellbeing:
Social worker have the role to recognize and promote basic principle of human rights,
justice, social justice along with economic well being which includes legislation and law. There
is also need to ensure that social worker should challenge in justice and inequality that can lead
to promote peoples strength, hope along with self-determination. There is need to ensure that
social worker should provide better equality and justice to every individual within child care
home (Howe et. al., (2018)). It may also include proper partnership with clients, service user,
families and carers. There is need to ensure that social worker should promote fundamental
rights of every individual through advocating. In this, there is need to ensure that they should
promote proper equality and provide justice to every individual in child care home. It can also
help to maximize the welfare of their client.
Performing my duty work, I need to print perform well through implementing my role of
duty in more effective way. As a member of children Team A, I need to take care of performing
my duty work in more appropriate way which can allow me to perform my responsibility for
accepting and working on the reference. In this, I need to perform my job role through assigned
social worker as a duty for the office which are mostly working from home (Koprowska,
(2020)).
Child S, who is a black British girl like to stay with her friends where as a social worker I
have my roles and responsibility towards child rights and justice. In this, I need to promote
advocacy about the intervention where child S needed to take in consideration about the risk

analysis where I need to ensure about proper responsibility to provide alternative accommodation
for child S. In this, it can allow me to take care and help in advocacy for child S.
Domain 5 Knowledge:
Social worker should apply the knowledge and skills to deliver proper care and support to
every individual whom they care for (Cummins, 2018)). In this, they should use they are
knowledge of social science, social work and law in the practice theory. This can allowed into
improve their care services where they can get a knowledge from different sources like a
supervision, research, training, programs and learning from other support worker within the
community. Sometimes, social care worker need to spend some time and money for their self
development along with personal growth. This can allow them to get the opportunity to improve
their learning and knowledge from different training sessions which can allow them to perform
their role in more appropriate way to provide proper care and support to their client (Healy,
(2022)).
During development, As working with child T, I need to ensure that providing better
psychological help and wellbeing which can be ensure about a need and expectation. I need to
perform my all the practices in more effective way through performing and utilizing my
knowledge in relation to provide and meet children parents need. I also used my knowledge to
make effective decision that can also allow me to use my knowledge to gather risk analysis
before providing recommendation for the supportive strategy with positive outcome.
During placement, there was also need to use the knowledge of social science and law to
implement those in more effective way that can provide a positive impact on children's growth
and their learning for their future growth and development (Aruru et. al., (2021)). Working with
child S, I need to provide better safety through evaluating the risk which can be effective and
allowed better protection to child S. In this, I used my knowledge and learning which help me to
ensure about using SSW intervention and advocacy with different agencies and professionals.
Domain 6 Critical reflection and analysis:
Applying critical reflection can be highly effective for the social care worker that can
help to provide better rational for their professional decision-making. This can be effective and
allowed to improve their care and support services more appropriately (Molinari et. al., (2021)).
Through explaining their past experience can allowed them to identify the gap where they need
to improve for their future delivery of care services. Through applying the reflection and

analyzing them can allow to find out the mistakes and gap that should be fulfill and improved for
delivery more better and effective social care services to their client. Critical reflection and
analysis can also allow to think about their action that had been taken in past during any activity
or situation. This can also allowed to analyse their decision-making process and help to improve
more appropriately.
During the placement as a social worker, there was need to learn different things from the
past experience. In this, there was need for the reflect the situation which has been experiencing
in past (Hillier et. al., (2019)). While performing my duty work, I need to perform my job role in
more effective way where as a member of children's Team A, I need to cover duty in London
borough where as a social worker, I lead my team to duty in every 3 weeks. Here, I use my
critical reflection and analysis to improve my care services and use my knowledge to perform
more appropriately as a assigned social worker on arrival back on duty from remote working
from homes.
During the placement, it has also analyse that through reflecting an analysis, it also allow
to identify the gap and need of skills which are highly essential and needed to learn to make
better decision to take action (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
(2020)). During taking care of Child A, I need to take care through identifying child and family
needs. Through applying and improving the skills, allow social care worker to apply those in
their practices to improve their quality of services. This can be effective and can help to deliver it
to the children in child care home for their proper growth and development support.
Domain 7 Intervention and skills:
As a social care worker, it is essential to use all the skills and learning which can be
effective and can provide better safety to their client and provide intervention from any type of
negative impact. Social care worker need to apply their judgement and authority which can be
intervene their client community and family through promoting independence and preventing
from any harm, abuse and neglect along with providing proper support through applying the
intervention and skill (Aiyegbusi et. al., (2021)). Social care worker can allow to improve their
quality of services and help their client to get intervention and improve some skill to live
effectively. Through implementing the intervention can allow to change the situation for
improving better positive outcome. Here, social worker need to perform the assessment which

can help to determine appropriate intervention for their client use of different legislation and act
that can help to provide social care services to their clients.
During the placement as social care worker, there was need to intervene children from
any type of harm, neglect or abuse. Here, I have worked and take care of Child M, where she
was get shouted and should take care from the domestic violence. In this, there was need to
follow all the assessment which includes Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 which
was highly effective and was able to provide proper health support to every individual within the
child care home. Social care worker also perform their role in more appropriate way that can
help to enter when every children by providing proper support and preventing them from any
type of abuse of neglect (Pithouse, (2019)).
During the placement as a social care worker, it was also need to ensure that every child
is safe and should not get any type of harm, neglect or abuse that can have a negative impact on
the proper growth and development. As a social care worker, I have observed that YP get
emotional development where I needed to intervene when each and every child from any
situation which can lead to create a negative impact on children like any type of abuse, harm or
neglect. It is also needed to identify the assessment for the social worker that can help to
determine better intervention for every child in the child care home.
Domain 8 Contexts and organisations:
As a social care worker, there is need to perform well with different agencies which can
help to get engage and inform through adapting to the change context. This can be highly
effective for social care worker to use their learning and knowledge in more appropriate way
where it can utilize those in an organizational framework which can be highly effective and
contribute for the service development along with the organization (Ferrell et. al., (2020)). Social
care worker also need to ensure that they should operate in more appropriate way that they can
get proper care support and sharing of services with multi agencies through applying inter-
professional setting.
During placement as a social care worker, there was need to get connect with different
agencies through applying inter-professional setting which were highly effective and provided a
better care and support to every individual in the child care home. Here, Child S have the
behaviour about getting drunk and sleep with her friend on her bed without informing her family.
Through getting in context to the organization that are highly effective and may provide proper

proximity to deliver their care services through following the organizational framework. This can
enable to work with multi agency through following the inter-professional setting for making and
establishing a better relationship (Watted & Barak, (2018)).
As a social care worker, I was working with Child M, where I need to take care about thte
domestic violence. I needed to apply the contexts and organization for children development
where applying organizational framework can help to develop organizational services in more
appropriate way.
Domain 9- Professional leadership:
There is need to take responsibility about professional development and learning through
assessing, mentoring, supervision, teaching, research, management and leadership. This can be
highly effective and can provide better positive impact to the social worker while delivery their
care services with better quality. In this, there is need to ensure that proper learning and
development can be helpful to provide better growth and development to their child to improve
their quality of life (Allameh, (2018)).
During the placement, while working as member of children team A, it has been observed
that there is a proper need of management and leadership which can be highly effective and can
allow enabling children to understand about the effectiveness of their development and learning
for the proper growth. Through applying the teaching services, it also enable children to improve
their learning and knowledge that can help to improve their quality of life. There was also
needed for the proper mentoring and supervision that are associated with taking care of children
in child care homes.
During professional practices, I have observed Child S, where I need to advocacy for her,
beet quality of life. Here, it was also essential to take care of her life appropriately. This can
allow maintaining proper support to each and every children within the child care home.
Through applying the proper leadership, it can also enable social care worker to improve their
professional learning through assessing, mentoring and supervising to their client for the better
and improved health (Neimeyer & Taylor, (2019)).
CONCLUSION
From above discussion, it can be concluded that there are professional capability
framework that are supporting structure for a qualified and aspiring social worker that can enable
them to improve their knowledge and skill and values to use those in their practices. In this, there

is a discussion about different domains of professional capability framework that are associated
with providing proper care support in a child care home.
