Individual reflection
In this section, I am going to present my views regarding the review of the team,
Fueling Life. Within this, my focus would be on the efforts to capture the views on presenting
the views.
Description
Project content
Specific nature of the project
We were assigned a project on opening a café inside the gym, which provided a
balanced diet for the customers. In this, consideration of their preferences is appropriate for
strengthening the muscles. However, the team members did not find the subject matter
creative, as it did not align with the identified and specified objectives of the project.
Initiation of the project
The major drive behind starting the project was providing the customers with a
healthy lifestyle. I am concerned with the complexities regarding increasing the profit margin
by just focusing on the gym customers. This is because variety prevails in the choices of the
customers regarding the diet intake.
Desired outcomes
The project objective is apt in terms of ensuring a healthy lifestyle for the customers
through the provision of healthy diet. Within this, I can specifically point the diet charts,
which enhances the standards and quality of living for the people.

Interpretation
During the project, I learned about the significance of healthy eating for maintaining a
healthy lifestyle. Along with this, I also came to know about the ways and means of
effectively handling the project related activities. At the initial stage, we were divided into
groups, followed by allocation of responsibilities. At each stage, our performance as
monitored by the supervisor. While researching on the subject matter, I came to know about
the significance of eating healthy foods for maintaining a quality lifestyle. Affirming with the
ideas of Harrison and Bak (2017), I felt that the teamwork, which we exposed was necessary
in terms of completing the allocated tasks within the stipulated time.
Along with this, I also learnt about developing aims and objectives for attaching
proper direction to the research projects. Within this, I can make mention of the SMART
criteria for developing the objectives, which proved beneficial in terms of aligning the
performance with the requirements. Aligning my views with the arguments of Whitney and
Herbert (2018), the aspect of “measurability” helped me to map my performance in the team
for evaluating the anticipated findings for deducing relevance conclusions and
recommendations.
Evaluation
For the specific nature of the project, we were awarded the score of 3 out of 5, which
is good. This was in terms of the ambiguity, which prevailed in the definition of the scope of
the project regarding opening a café in the gym. However, we succeeded in explaining the
rest of the concepts according to the requirements. The score of 3/5 was also applicable for
engaging the audience through effective presentation. Affirming with the assumptions of
Gibert, Tozer and Westoby (2017), I can say that the major drive behind this was
dissemination of wrong words in some of the aspects, which led to difficulty in

understanding. Here, I can relate the case of one of the team members, who suffered from
stage freight and stammered while giving presentation.
In case of the visual presentation and logical flow of information, we got the score of
4/5, which reflects the clear and precise form of the statistics and pictures of healthy eating in
the process of presentation. The supervisors felt that the format of the slides was too small
and difficult to read and understand. They awarded the score of 3/5 and told us to improve.
According to my opinions, the slides in our computers and laptops were clear enough to be
understood. However, when it was placed on the projected, it should have displayed in the
same format. I think there must have been some problem with the projector settings. We
checked the format and size of the slides several times.
Plan
My ambition is to become a dietician. Therefore, this team project helped me a lot
about catering for the ways and means through which people can lead a healthy lifestyle. The
project work, which I was a part of enhanced my knowledge, skills and competencies,
inculcated within me the attribute of teamwork, which is necessary in terms of reducing the
knowledge gaps. Indulging in group discussions proved beneficial in terms of enhancing my
preconceived knowledge regarding the contribution of balanced diet on a healthy lifestyle.
This teamwork would be effective for me in terms of achieving the desired outcomes by
collaboratively working for promoting the importance of healthy eating within the people.
