of those two career paths using tools from the unit.
On this part, I choose Health services manager and the challenges and their opportunities are
well captured in the third and fourth stage.
The third stage (1000 words) requires you to create a speech/podcast to present your ideas
about the challenges that face the industry you have chosen, and identify ways in which you
will make a contribution to that industry within your career.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. What an exciting afternoon to be gathered here in this
place. We thank the team involved in the planning of such an event and above all our Creator
who has given us life even to such a day. It is with great joy that we have all gathered here even
as we commemorate the initiation of this great facility. Unfortunately, most of the individuals
who started this great facility are not with us today, they are long gone. Bbut their work is still
evuident to this very day. We can attest that they invested their enrgy and strength in building a
facility that would benefit both people of their time and of today.
Clearly, as we llok back at a time as this, the same challenges that our great ancestors used to
deal with have not changed. The only diffesrence we have today is that most of our healthcare
facilties are dealing with upgraded challenges. I stand here with confidence that there is a great
hope to the end of such prevailing challeges. I also believe that solutions are readily available if
only we sit down and bring out our ideas. We can make a brighter healthcare.
One of the greatest challenges that has consitstently affected healthcare is the rising costs. The

more people have strived living for longer years, the more healthcare costs have continued to
increase. Just last year, we had political leaders complaining that rising costs of care has become
unbearable especially to the poor of the caontry. Reading from several research papers, it is clear
that the cost of healthcare will continue to increase even in the near.
It worries my heart even as I read this to you. I understand this situation because not long ago, I
had an encounter with one of my great frinds form the slams. He was suffering from a chronic
condition. He had prescriptions from a doctor, but he copuld not meet them because he could not
afford. I believe that we must find alternative methods of dealing with the rising costs and
especially methods that would act in favour of the lowly people. I believe we can come up with a
way of funding such people or giving them affordable healthcare.
Over the years, the medical and technology advancement has been a great challenges that even
our forefathers could not escape. This advancement has led to the low number of physicains
becaue they have been replaced by technology. More onad more of our trained physicians are
loosing their jobs because people are opting for Telemedicine rather than the actual doctor
medication.
The other challenge has ben that of training and education challenges. Few opportuinities are
there for our people to get access to training and education not realising that professional
development is key. Most training intiatives have not received the support they should. I believe
the future of healthcare depends on how we will be able to handle such platforms especially for
our upcoming mangers and leaders.
I also belive we can involve the government on such issues. Over the past there were a few laws
that were made in support of this but were not supported by the government. If the necessary
support is made and the implementation process goes through then I believe, we can have

accesss to international training that will see our healthcare serices go to a notch higher. We can
also mobilise such ideas to our neighbouring communities to see to it that they will adopt.
Ehical issues have long been a challenge in the healthcare department. There are some of our
doctors nad nurses in the past who provided misleading medical research. Our department faced
a lot of opposition since the misleading research lead to the death of several patients. We do not
want to go back to such experiences. It is now 40 years since that happened and since then we
have not witnessed such cases. I want to believe that we shall continually uphold the virtues that
we have held on for so long. I would not want us to go back to such times.
I rememeber that among the many things we agreed to is that before a research is absorbed then,
a lot of other relevant researchers must be incoroporared. We also agreed that while it is okey to
carry out individual research, we recommended that more than five people take part in a research
to avoid uncessary drawbacks.
W e have also sufferd the challenge of service and integration. This is because most of medical
community welcomes big data. This becomes a problem especially on the implementation bit.
The data bases cannot also manage unstructured information. There is a need to upgrade these
databases to accommodate this. In long run, there has been a great wastage of resources on
research because most of them have limited accesss to patient information.
I believe we can make improvemnts on these especially by adopting technology. Although
technology has its disadvantages, it also has its advantages and so we can effectively work to
bring about the change that is required.
I believe that alongside some of the solutions mentioned above is also building strategic advisory
solutions. This wouold assist clients in anticipating and development of strategies that may
address the market realirteis. One of the most profound things to do is allowing clients take full

Most the solutions to these problems are technology based. Home monitoring of patients would
also work best to improve the health of patients. This would majorly focus on patient s with
chronic diseases becaue they need a countinous care. Most of them are not actually needed in the
hospital and hence they flock in the hospital reducing space for those who desperately need it.
Finally, I believe that I ultimately starts with me and you. I belive that if I played my part and
focused on solving one challenge then together we would overcome and have better healthcare
services.
The final stage (1000 words) requires you to complete a critical reflection on of the speech,
and identify the CT tools that were used in the speech and assess their value in developing a
strong and convincing speech.
With the different CT tools which are helpful for Dilts Logical Level, Kipling Question Grice
Maxims Samsung, Aurgumented moves and Brookfield trick are essential in any conversational
model. It would be tough for me to provide a critical reflection on the speech with the quality
standards and its relevance in communication. These CT tools are majorly focused on the
communication between the speaker and the audience (Ramboarisata, 2019).
With the Dilts Logical Level, I was in a position of using the hierarchy levels which were
discovered by Robert Dilts. In my speech, I was able to synthesize, organize and organize and
direct the interactions and the levels below it. This is something that the upper levels could
radiate downwards hence facilitating to the changes on the lower levels. The low levels on the
hierarchy can accomplish certain things that cannot be necessarily affected by the upper levels.

These levels are in the form of a triangle. On the top, we have a purpose which I used to define
the purpose of my research work in the area of Health services manager. The second one is
identity which addresses the question of who, the third one touches on the values and beliefs and
they answer the question of why the capabilities came as fourth in the list answering the question
of how the behavior is also a point f concern which takes the fifth place answering the question
of what and lastly is environment which seats at the bottom of the hierarchy answering the
question of where and when (Burrell, 2019. ).
Under the environment, I discussed the issues that surround the Health services manager which
includes their place of work, their current economic status, the people around them, their
businesses, the impact that comes from their friends and family, their customers. Also in detail is
to look at the geographical locations surrounding the Health services manager, the facilities and
buildings where they work from, their office's design work and the influence and the impact that
the people within the organizations have caused on the environment.
Matters behavior, I examined the specific behavior and the actions of the Health services
manager, especially at an individual level. Also looking at the patterns of their work, their
interactions, and their varying communications. At the Health services manager, the behaviors
are defined in terms of general procedures but considering the individual levels then, specific
work routines, working habits, and job-related activities are considered. (Weidema, 2015)
On Compabilities, the general strategies, capabilities, and skills of the Health services manager
are looked into. I evaluated how they generate and guide their behaviors within a particular
context. Capabilities of the Health services manager revolve around the talents and the skills they
display and shortly, they will be referred to our competences. Also looking at the resources
available to the Health services manager which range from their behavior which they engage in

without their seemingly conscious efforts. Some of these will include walking and taking among
others. Other capabilities will include, cognitive strategies and the skills such as learning, making
decisions and creativity which will facilitate the improved performance of a particular behavior.
Also of importance is to outline the beliefs and values of the Health services manager which
provide the reinforcement which supports the capabilities and behaviors of the nurses.
Evaluating the beliefs and values of the Health services manager and provides a determination of
how events are given meaning. Considering the emotional held views of the Health services
manager is of great importance. This is because their beliefs reveal who they are and especially
when they are engaged through talking to them. Their values are a criterion against which the
Health services manager make their decisions. They are unique to them just as they are unique to
every other individual. I found out that different nurses place different priorities on their beliefs
or even the value of their friends, work colleagues, and family. Similarily the firms that have
employed them hold to their beliefs and values (Rowe, 2017. ).
On matters Identity, the Health services managers’ values and beliefs derive their sense of
identity. Here, we get to define the sense of who they are concerning the statements that describe
them. Lastly, purpose forms the ultimate level which is also referred to as the spiritual level. It
has to with the perceptions related to Health services manager. They also build to their sense of,
for whom and what. Their actions greatly count and especially in providing meaning to their
actions. Above all, the purpose helps in defining an organization's vision and ambition. it is
worth noting that it is easier making a change to the lower levels on the diagram than on the
higher ones.
I also used the Grice’s Maxims in trying to be as informative as possible in this topic of Health

I chose, to be as relevant as possible especially in this era and generation and lastly to be as clear
as possible and as orderly as I could in making the necessary presentation.
I also used augmented movement intending to enhance my audience with the necessary
understanding of my topic. This type of CT tool uses different techniques which are artistic and
they help visualize information in the best way possible.
I used tricks by Stephen Brookfield intending to improve my creative and critical thinking skills
even I communicated facts and the challenges facing the Health services manager. It has been
remarkably important to use the Critical Thinking tools especially in enhancing and making
better my presentation on the topic at hand.
