INTRODUCTION
In this current time period, critical thinking plays very important and significant role in
modern education sector. It also knows as corrective thinking and proper knowledge regarding
any kind of situations. With the help of this, effectively ask any kind of questions and collect
appropriate and relevant information (Fisher, 2011). This essay will be discussing about how an
group of persons significantly work together, it will be representing in reflective manner.
Moreover, London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG) is an
organisation which assist to manage and control issues and problems in appropriate manner.
Here, will be describing about several approaches for collecting appropriate informations also
will elaborating how to manage time to work. In the addition of this, how to overcome issues and
problems of organisation will be explaining.
TASK 1
First task of this essay is totally based on my actual experience in Olympic Committee.
As a member of London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic
Games(LOCOG), should be effectively manage and control all activities related to the Olympics
and Games (Moore, Parker and Rosenstand, 2011). As well as it is very essential to significantly
provide better services and facilities to all players such as medical treatments, food facilities,
lodge etc. While I was worked together with persons, I had been easy to handle any kind of
situation as well as significantly full fill necessary needs and requirements of all players. I
adopted and used several appropriate approaches for collecting and gathering reliable
information. For significantly completing tasks, I had been allowed enough time to all group
members so they can effectively complete their works and provide appropriate services and
facilities to all players. As I am a member of London Organising Committee of the Olympic and
Paralympic Games(LOCOG), I was faced several issues and problems such as equal treatments
to every sport persons, systematically arrange the all required equipments, time to time organise
the medical services and facilities, transportation problems and so more. For managing and
controlling all these issues in an effective manner, I was implement an management plan, in
which mentioned all necessary activities and operation with proper required time schedule. With
the help of this plan, I had been easy to overcome all these issues and build an healthy

environment for all players. As per my experienced level, it is very important to manage and
handle all necessary activities of games and Olympics so, players will effectively play their
games with proper confidence (Cottrell, 2011).

TASK 2
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG) is
an organisation, it is working for conducting and organising Olympic and Paralympic Games
with proper planning and development. This organisation was established by the Government's
Department for culture, games and media of UK, Mayor of London and British Olympic
Association. London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG)
organisation working with Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), one of the major responsibility
of this administration is to conduct new games and Olympics for players as well as construction
of new ventures and infrastructure. Furthermore, in 2005 the International Olympic Committee
(IOC) was chose London as an host city for conducting and organising Olympic games. After
that, LOCOG was formed by the bidding team, it helps to effectively manage and control all
major activities and operation related to Olympics and Paralympic games. In this organisation
has been faced several issues and problems by team members such as, equal treatments to every

players, arrange required items and equipments, medical services and facilities to sport persons,
transportation obstacles, requirements of the mass media, financial problems and so more. All
these are directly impacts on sport players and their performance as well. Moreover, it is very
important to effectively manage and must be try to overcome them with the help of smart ideas
and techniques (Davies, 2011). London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic
Games(LOCOG) of major duty is to significantly conduct and organise games and Olympics for
persons with proper facilities and services as well as try to remove all major problems and issues
in an effective and efficient manner. All these major issues and problems are describing, which
has been faced by members of LOCOG such as follows:
 Equal treatments to every sport persons: According to Popil (2011), it is very essential
for committee to providing equal treatments to all players. Moreover, it is one of the
major responsibility of London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic
Games(LOCOG) is to equally take care of every sport persons so they can feel safe and
secure while playing games and Olympics. In the addition of this, must be ensure for
competition with all players held as per the rules and regulations of the government as
well as International Sports Federations(IFs). When any game committee and
organisation not follow and carried out appropriate rules and regulation, then government
of the country can take legal action against that as well as may be licence will be
cancelled.
 Proper arrangement of required equipments in sports: As per the view point of Ennis
(2011), it says while organising and conducting games and Olympics for sport players,
then must be all required equipments and items systematically arranged. So, all players
will significantly take and choose necessary items and things for playing games. Due to,
it very important to implement management plan in organisation. Because with the help
of this, systematically manage and arrange all operations and activities as per their
priorities. Furthermore, while organising games and Olympics, must be arranged and
managed all activities and systematically arrange all necessary items and equipments of
sports.
 Lodge facilities: As per the opinion of Dwyer, Hogan and Stewart (2014), says, it is
necessary to provide lodge facilities and services to all sport persons, so they easy stay
for some time, they can change their dresses, privately talks within group of persons or

team. Hence, sport governing bodies and organisations must be provided free of cost
lodge facilities and services to all players. With the help of lodge facility players or sport
persons can take rest as well as effectively full fill their necessary needs and
requirements. So, it is important to look at lodge facilities and services by London
Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG) organisation.
 Medical services: In the words of Brookfield (2011), in the sports sectors required to
provide medical services to all players or members. Because its natural while playing
games have to face several injuries and physical problems by sport persons. In this
context, by the sport and Olympic committee should be provide proper and effective
medical services as per the priority base. With the help of medical services, players will
feel safe and secure while playing games. Due to, for providing medical facilities to sport
members, government of the country regulated several rules and regulations, which has to
be followed by all Olympic and games organisation in an effective and efficient way.
 Transportation problems: In the light of Yang and Wu (2012), it says one of the major
responsibility and task of sport and game committee is to resolve transportation problems
and issues in appropriate manner. Because players and sport persons are regularly
travelling one place to another. So it is important to provide proper and effective
transportation services and facilities to them with safety and security. In the addition of
this, London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG)
must be concentrate on transportation issues, which should be effectively resolve with the
help of smart and appropriate solution. As well as while travelling players one place to
another place must be organise medical and safety / security services to them, so they can
feel safe and secure.
 Mass media in order to provide proper information to public: According to the
Butler and et. al., (2012), says, at this time period it is important to provide actual and
reliable information public regarding games. Because most of the persons wants to aware
about games and their results. Mass media is one of the bets method and technique to
improve awareness. In the context of this, it is the major task of London Organising
Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG) is to choose appropriate and
effective mass media method for providing authentic information to public. In this
process, have to focusses on techniques, advertising, tools, way of informations etc.,

because when organisation provide fake information and unethical advertising about
games and other things, which directly impacts on sport sector as well as players.
 Cultural events: Zabit (2010), explained that before starting games and any kind of sport
activities then must be organise cultural events by London Organising Committee of the
Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG). In which should be managed and controlled
all cultural function's activities and operation with proper planning and development such
as place for conducting function, time schedule, payment system, required items and
equipments etc., in the addition of this, management in all sector plays important role
because with the help of this systematically arrange all major operations as per their
priorities.
 Final report for organising games and Olympics: As per the view point of Chabeli
(2010), it says this is necessary to write and prepare an final report of celebrating and
organisation games and sports. This final report must be in two languages as well as
authentic in nature. This report should distribute in two years after the ending of games
and sports activities. Final report of games and activities representing the result of them,
as well as it helps to take corrective decision by higher authority of the Olympic
committee. Moreover, according to the final report of games, head of the organisation
distribute prizes,offers and special facilities to plays. It assist to represent the actual and
reliable position and outcome of Olympics and Paralympic games.
 Financial problems: According to the Stuart and et. al., (2013), for organising any kind
of activities, finance is one of the major element. Due to, before conducting any kind of
games activities and Olympics then effectively collect required money and prepare an
effective plan for investing the fund. In the addition of this, financial planning includes
several terms and activities related to Olympics and games such as allocation of fund as
per the sports, lighting, sitting arrangement, facilities and services for players, catering,
lodge, training and development, interior, promotion, advertising, tickets and so more.
With the help of proper investment planning all operations and activities will
significantly managed and controlled by London Organising Committee of the Olympic
and Paralympic Games(LOCOG).
 Time management: As per the opinion of Baim, Goukasian and Misch (2015), it says,
time management is one of the major responsibility of London Organising Committee of

the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG) because it is every important to manage
and control all games activities operation in an significant manner. With the help of
proper time management will not raise any kind of issues and problems in organisation as
well as players will significantly play their games and complete their practices.
Moreover, Olympic committee will effectively achieve their goals and objectives as well.
In the other hand, while organising and conducting any games and Olympics then have to
be faced several issues and problems by London Organising Committee of the Olympic and
Paralympic Games(LOCOG). Due to, it is important to effectively consider and analyse them in
effective and efficient context. When organisation significantly carried out all these major issues
and find out appropriate solutions to resolve them then players or sport persons will effectively
plays their games and achieve their targets in minimum time period. In the context of London
Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG), it has several
responsibilities such as to properly analyse and identify the current situation and problems in
organisation as well as player's requirements. In the addition of this, players has various needs
and demands as per that must be try to provide services and facilities to them. It is necessary for
all sport persons to physically and mentally fit. Due to, this is one of the major duty of this
organisation is the take care about their medical services, catering, lodges, gym, place for
practice and more (Derman and et. al., 2013). Moreover, for managing and controlling all sports
activities and operations, government of UK, regulated and enacted several rules and regulations
which has be to effectively followed in appropriate manner. Furthermore, for controlling and
handling all games activities and operations in significant manner then has to be arrange all
activities as per their requirements with proper time schedule. Because proper management plan
helps to complete all activities with better outcomes or result. In the other words London
Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games(LOCOG) implement an effective
plan in action for resolving problems without consuming extra time period as well as full fill
necessities of players.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned this essay it has been concluded that, critical thinking assessed
to provide actual and reliable information regarding situation as well as it helped to take
