TASK 3
Critical thinking is all about stressing or focusing on asking questions and answer them in
positive or negative viewpoint (‘Critical Thinking’, Learning Development, Plymouth University,
2010). For the effective critical thinking the university of Plymouth has developed a Plymouth
model that contains several questions in three phases i.e. description, analysis and evaluation.
The Plymouth model is generated below:
Identify the topic: the topic is “Holiday in Turkey”
Description
What?
This critical thinking is all about a holiday spent in a Turkey. The turkey is the great
destination for the vacation and is lifetime experience. I was planning for the summer vacation
where I was required to choose the perfect destination. Turkey is chosen because it is the
friendly, cultured, soothing climate and many other favourable reasons. But as the Turkey has
many places and events to visit for the voyagers but due to the less availability of time for
vacation I have to face issue in filtering the best places and experience that I must that I must
experience on my holiday to Turkey.
Where?
Turkey is situated at the Western Asia and Europe with domain of Ottoman. The holiday
was planned in summer in month of May.
Who?
This trip was the friends trip and all the college friends were involved in planning and organising
the trip to turkey. All the friends are highly excited and interested in going to the vacation to a
beautiful and adventitious place. A travel agency is also involved for the booking at the
destination.
When?
This plan to holiday to turkey was started in mid-April and the whole holiday occurred from 2
May 2021 to 15 May 2022. The whole holiday was planned in summer.

How?
As a group we approached a travel agency to analyse the different places for the holiday in
summer and their packages as well. From the different option of the destinations through
discussion we tried to filter the best destination for the holidays. It was analysed at some places
there was friendly and good climate and at some places there was adventurer’s sports due to
different people and different choices there were factors that were colliding each other. Later as
we saw the vacation brochure of Turkey we were got a perfect destination for the holiday as this
place has different festival events, such as Yatch show, Marmaris festival and some nature
friendly places such as Butterfly valley and many fun and adventurous sports as well.
Why?
In summer colleges have a break therefore, we planned a Holiday to Turkey. Turkey was
chosen for the holiday destination because this place has every element as per the choices of
people in the group. The Turkey provides the vacation objective in the next excursion which is
highly beneficial for the visitors and also it is rich in cultural making is differentiable from the
other destinations.
What if?
In the situation when this destination may turn as the bad experience there are the many
places nearby Turkey were the others days of the holidays can be spent. Therefore, there are
alternatives available to resolve the problem instantly.
Evaluation
So What?
It is evaluated that the holiday to Turkey is the most memorable trip as the journey of this
holiday served different experiences and life time memories with the friends. The Turkey as the
city have provided me with the extravagance of store hotels that is highly engaged with the
nature. Also the Turkish delights where the most significant part of the holiday in Turkey. As
whole for me and my friends the holiday to Turkey was highly successful and worth spending.
What Next?
I would recommend this place of destination to my family and other friends as well. Also,
I think this place requires more days as in 15 days I was not able to cover the very place in the
Turkey and missed some key spots. Also for the better trip experience a perfect itinerary is
essential.
