INTRODUCTION
Cross culture management refers the company efforts to ensure that employees are
communicated effectively with professional manner having their different background. Cross
culture implies an acknowledgement of national, religion, ethic and difference in manner and
methods to connect them. Globalization brings the cross education has emerged in business as an
important aspect. The case study shows the details of hydro generation operation phrase a major
dam project of Tanzania that is lead by Jone to make the project success and effective. Jones
knew the philosophy and values that makes success to HG mission and culture and in manner
that is deal by him to complete it. This report will cover the HG organizational culture that is
being followed by company, Jones leadership style to complete the project effectively and
motivation and HRM practise that is being given to employee to work effectively and leaders
which will be discussed along with case study of Tanzanian (Hitka, and et.al., 2018). The major
two issues which are arises on the project of Tanzanian is Unprofessional behaviour which
include bribe to officers, not attending the ceremony and other activity of Jone for completing
the project that has some major issued with Jone. Another major issue that is faced by company
is organizational structure standards that is not followed by Jones during the project period and
not maintain the company standard according to company.
MAIN BODY
Organizational structure
The organizational structure of company shows the system that outline the activities and
directions are certain to achieve the goal of organization. These activities rule, regulation and
responsibilities of each individual during the company. It also shows the flow of information
which is being used by company to top management to bottom management. For example
centralization and decentralization structure in company shows decision-making power that is
distributed to different authorities (El Talla, and et al., 2018). Successful organization define
each employee jobs and in a manner that they fit within their management system. Usually, there
are two type of organizational structure centralization which shows the chain of command to
remain at top authorities of company and no decision-making power to middle or lower
management. Whereas, decentralization structure shows the power of authority to almost all
employee in company and have certain level of power to make decision. These are fixed buy

company according to their flow of information and nature of work that makes the organizational
structure. Centralization sometimes demotivate the employees of company that have not included
in decision-making of company. Whereas, decentralization motivate employee to work for
organization as they feel important part in company that are making decisions and have some
sort of authorities.
From the given case study of Tanzania, Jone is lack of leadership professional skills is
being scene from the case when Jones has not participated the ceremony of traditional ritual that
is one of the major important aspect for project of company and for project (Madi, and et al.,
2018). It shows the lack of respect among the traditional feeling and not given any importance to
their traditional ceremony for the tribal. He also paid more $10,000 to repeat the ceremony
program that shows the unprofessional, irresponsible and not appropriate behaviour towards the
tribal and locals people of Tanzania. Another major issue from case study that is found that Jones
is not following the organizational standard that need to be maintained according to company.
The lifestyle that need to be maintained by Jone should be living in a standard place which is for
foreigners with upscale neighbours, but he didn't follow the company standards and live n middle
class neighbours.
The Human skills and having Unprofessional skills of leadership need to be developed by
Jone to maintain the good relationship between other person. These skills need to be developed
that to maintain the project of HG in Tanzania. These skills maintain the relationship between
tribal and locals people of Tanzania that help in project and smooth flow of work is maintained.
Also, human skills are maintained the emotion of person toward other people that shows the
respect and care of others. It is important for Joe to develop the skills that need to be developed
for gaining the respect of tribal and locals of Tanzania. On the other hand, organizationals
standards which need to be maintained by him is not followed. Discipline in work culture and
company is need to be maintained by Jone that help company to work and other employees to
follow the company rules and regulations that is compulsory to followed and maintain the
discipline towards work and culture (Matinaro, and Liu, 2017).
From the above issues, Jone should be had emotion towards the locals and tribal people
of Tanzania that help him and company to work smooth without any interruption made by them.
As they are become the international news Jone should work very carefully and maintain the
standards of locals that is not broken emotions and traditional culture. Further, organizational

structure and there standards should be maintained by Jone to maintain the reputation of
international company in market. The living standards and lifestyle should be maintained by
foreigner employee in project with reputation and adequate facilities and benefits are provided. It
impacts the other employees as they also start avoiding the company standards or rules and
regulation during the project.
Leadership
Leadership is an art of motivation that to team or members to achieve the target goal of
company. They work as a guide towards all employee and monitor their performance of each
employee to increase the efficiency and work performance to achieve the goal effectively. They
are having high skills and knowledge that is gained through years of experience of working.
Leaders inspire other through guiding employee and provide with knowledge and skills that has
being gained with the years of working experience (Ismail, and Fathi, 2018). Leaders also
communicate to others to communicate and engage in activity that increase the work
performance. They motivate employee towards the innovation that help company to work with
more intelligent people and adapt changes in organizational. Leaders assist organizational build
an efficient employee to perform a task and to achieve the objective and ultimate common goal
of company. They also direct members to maintain the rules and regulations and company
standards in the work and culture of company.
The first issues for a leader is to maintain the professional behaviour which is not
maintained by Jone during the course of project. It shows the lack of leadership style in order to
work in the high profile international companies. The leaders that shows the direction to
employees to complete the work and to increase the performance of efficiency of each employee
to achieve the target goal. It demotivate the employee of HG company that arise from ceremony
situation where Jone had not attained the ceremony program. Employees also feel against their
leaders that by reducing the respect in eye of employee’s due to the activity that is performed by
Jone after the ceremony and comment to repeat the ceremony function by tribal. It shows the
disrespect towards the culture and people living with high values and cultures. Second uses
towards leadership is that leader always direct the employee to follow rules and regulation of
company and perform under their leaders guidelines (Coetzer, Bussin, and Geldenhuys, 2017).
Here Jone had not maintained the organizational standard that is provided to all foreigner
employees and mainly engineers that are transferred to complete the project of dam in Tanzania.

First theory is that leaders followed strong ethic and high moral standards in company.
They motivate employee to follow the strong ethic and standards that are of company policies.
Leaders are one who direct employees to follow these rules and standards of company in order to
maintain the discipline (Pak, and et al., 2019). Jone had not followed the organizational
standards to live high neighbour colony and maintain the dignity and reputation of company
towards the country that shows internationally through new channels. Second relevant theory for
issue is foster connection and belonging is also one of the major theory that shows the
connection between the employees and leaders for strong communication channel. It shows the
smooth flow of communication and connect between each employee that are working together.
Jone had not connected with the local and tribal of Tanzania. It shows the lack of leadership
quality in Jone that allow them to build connection by attain the ceremony program held by
tribes (Schwatka, and et al., 2019).
From the case study of Tanzania project, Jone need to build more leadership skills and
abilities towards the company to follow rules and regulation and company's standard that are
created for the dignity and reputation of company in market. It just not only build a strong
leadership quality but it motivates employees to work such standards that are set by company for
employee’s. Leadership quality shows with the values and their nature toward the company,
other employees and people they are interacting with. Jone's behaviour towards the project is
high ambiguous but followed some of the wrong paths like providing bribes to government
officers of Tanzania, not attaining the ceremony program which shows disrespect for the locals
and tribal.
Motivation and Human resource management Practise.
Motivation is encouraging the employees by boosting their morale towards work and to
attain the company objective. It increases the employee performance towards their work and to
accomplish the work with cost effectively and time saving. Majorly leaders are playing the role
to motivate the employees and worker to complete the project within time limit. It is an
important aspect of company to attain the company objective through employee motivation.
Human resource management practise also plays ans important role to motivate the employee
through training and development for the particular project to complete effectively. It helps
company to attain the goals through increase in performance of the employee (Andrews, 2019).
They also feel satisfy towards the company and easy adaptivity of new working culture for

employees and to make comfortable within organization work and each other. HRM practise are
being followed by major of companies to increase the employee efficiency towards work by
various training sessions that are done through on job training and off job training.
From the given case study of Tanzania, motivation is necessary to employees that are
working for the dam project. To complete the project, Jone hires the local people as there are
high unemployment in Tanzania and major of mouth-to-mouth jobs are being conducted. Jone
had developed the practise for locals to opening to local people, interviewing and hired the
employee comes from relative recommendation. Jone also hires the people who are having
family connecting and hiring the niece of high ranking customers offices just to clear the import
clearance. It is an ethical practise that is being followed by Jone in order to get benefits from the
import officers (Müller, and et al., 2018). This is done against the US ethical working standard. It
is not a legal practise for US organization while legal in Tanzania. While paying extra for
everything related to practise that increase the cost of project and company. It's not right from
ethical considerations but Jone perform the activity to get the work done fast. This is an illegal
activity under the US law which can be penalized high amount under the law on the company.
From the above case issues, ethical consideration and standards approach is relevant for
the situation were need to be followed to accomplish the work under the legal and ethical
practise of government. The US law shows the legal consideration between employees and
employer hiring process. Jone had hired the niece of Custom officer just to clear the import
clearance the material. It is an illegal activity which can be panellized under US law on HG
company. It ultimately suffers project of company and increase the cost of the company and
project is unable to achieve project in efficient manner. It shows the poor quality of leadership
that allow shortcuts to complete the work. Another major issue is that not maintain the
organizational culture of working through ethical and legally (Pham, Tučková, and Jabbour,
2019). US law is quite strict for construction companies where they can be penalized is any
misconduct happen in company. Jone had not followed ethical culture of organization by hiring
the niece of customer officer shows the inequality behaviour among other applicants. Paying
extra to all service that are show the bribe nature of Jone and not a leadership skills for working
in organization. It also shows various inappropriate ways that are taken into consideration to
complete the work.

The recommendation of the above situation is that organizational culture must be
followed by every employee including the top-level authorities. To avoid the illegal practise of
HG in the project of Tanzania, proper flow of hiring and recruitment process that need to be
followed without any inequality between other applicants. Equality brings the motivation and
increase the high morale within the organization to perform in a project. However, cost effective
is an important activity that need to be followed by leaders in order to accomplish the project
within the budget assign to each project.
CONCLUSION
The above report conclude that, major issue for the HG company faced in the Tanzania
project is lack of leadership qualities in Jone behaviour and nature and organizational culture is
not being followed by him in order to maintain the dignity and reputation of international
company in one of the core project. Organizational culture is very important to be followed by
every company in order to maintain the discipline and smooth work flow within the company.
The standards that is being set by company for employees is need to be followed. Secondary,
The leadership quality is being developed by Jone according to time and not indulge with such
illegal that are under US law and company ethical standards. Lastly motivation and HRM
practise is being maintained equally in company to avoid the company's project suffering from
such ineffective employee and increase the cost of project budget is being given. It is very
important to follow the ethical standard that are allowed by Under the US law and maintain the
company's reputation. However, some of the recommendation are being mention to improve the
quality and nature of Jone in project of Tanzania. It increases the leadership quality and skills
while working under the organizational culture by all employee include the top authorities.
