Cross cultural communication has become very important to the companies for the reason
of the growth within the global business, the internet and the technology. It is furthermore
termed as the intercultural communication (Arvizu & Saravia-Shore, 2017). The success of any
of the organization is dependable over the internal and the external rate of the communication.
The report highlights the importance of the cross cultural communication within the organization
by highlighting one of the relevant challenges of the poor cross cultural communication which is
the ethical dilemma which may arise within the process of the employment.
What is CCC
The cross cultural communication is the field of the study that involves how the people
from the involve in communication with the similar and the different ways among themselves
and how the endeavor towards the communication across the various of the cultures. According

cultural people and employees within the organization whose interaction and communication is
essential for the development of the organizational benefits.
What are the key elements of good CCC
Through out the world there lies different context of the cultures that bring some of the new and
the innovative challenges towards the workplace. With the advent of the modern technology and
the market, there has been an opening of the new market places that has promoted the business
towards a new geographic cultures and the locations. The context of the cross cultural
communication is the new norm that has been adopted by most of the business organization in
the current decade (Teunissen et al., 2017). There lies some of the major elements of cross
cultural communication that can impact over the effectiveness of the communication. Some of
the relevant elements of the cross cultural communication includes the facial expressions, eye
contact, use and the tone of the voice, personal space, body languages and gestures and
assumptions and stereotypes. According to Bird and Mendenhall (2016) without getting within
the cultures and the sub cultures, it is one of the most essential for the people for realizing the
fact that the basic understanding of the cultural diversity is the main key towards the effective
cross cultural communication. It has none of the secret regarding he fact that in the current days’
workplace, with the expansion of the business environment there includes various of the
geographical locations and the span of numerous of the cultures.

Define ethical dilemma
Ethics can be described as the well-grounded standards regarding the right and the wrong
dictating the human regarding what ought to be done. According to Daft and Marcic (2016)
these are usually put within the terms of the rights, the benefits and the duties towards the
society, the fairness and some of the other specific values. It is furthermore essential towards the
recognition of the ethics of the individual towards the engagement with the ethical thoughts of
the other person who are involved within the situation. The ethical dilemma is the issue or the
problem within the process of the decision making among two of the possible options which has
been absolutely acceptable from the ethical perspectives. It is generally described as the conflict
among the alternatives where some of the ethical principal needs to be compromised. The

individuals tend to face many of the ethical and the moral challenges in the life most of them
come from some of the relatively straight forward solutions. According to Johnson (2017) one of
the biggest challenges of the ethical dilemma is that the ethical dilemma does not tend to offer
some of the obvious solutions that tends to comply with the norms of the ethics. In the context of
the business and the organizational employment, ethical dilemma is common and significant in
the life of the professionalism since they tend to occur in a frequent basis within the workplace

adhere towards the codes of conduct and the standards of the ethics. The violation of these
standards lead towards the disciplinary sanctions. This the context of the ethical dilemma can be
descried as the ethical range of the paradox and the decision making procedure among the
possible moral imperatives where the tendency of the complexity arises out of the situational
conflicts while transgressing other.
Describe an ethical dilemma that could result from poor CCC
There are high chances of the rise of the ethical dilemma that might result from the poor cross
cultural communication within the organization. One of the most good example regarding the
ethical dilemma at the workplace that might arise is the dilemma regarding reporting of the
colleague for the inappropriate behavior towards other colleague. The biggest challenges of the
ethical dilemma is that the ethical dilemma does not tend to offer some of the obvious solutions
that tends to comply with the norms of the ethics This ethical dilemma whether to report
regarding the colleague which belongs to a different culture altogether can arise from the lack of
proper cross cultural communication (Ferrell & Fraedrich, 2015). The dilemma regarding ruing
of the self image and dealing with the other colleague when in case of not knowing their
knowledge and cultures and commenting among their personal cultural issues can be one of the
major ethical dilemma that can result from poor rate of cross cultural communication.

The given example above is the perfect for the ethical dilemma. This is because at the workplace
cultures. The ethical dilemma is generally caused by the uncomforted level and the lack of the

Jr et al., 2015). In the current day in organization hires a diverse range of employees belonging
from several of the cultural backgrounds. It is essential for all the employees to undergo effective

team towards the organizational benefit and profit.
The above stated example is the perfect one for the ethical dilemma caused due to poor cross
cultural communication skills. This is because the lack of the cross cultural communication and
the comfort level demotivates and makes the individual to lack courage to speak up for the
inappropriate behavior of initiation towards the other colleagues. This is an ethical dilemma
since it involves the context of the ethics of the person witnessing the hazard within the
workplace but the lack of the courage, having fear and the lack of will to raise his or her voce
against the hazard by effective cross cultural communication.
Conclusion
Thus it can be concluded from the above that cross cultural communication within the
business organization plays a very essential role towards the benefit of the production and the
profit of the organization in the current decade of the modern world where the technology is
having some of the rapid advancements.
