This project outlines the development of a cross-cultural learning (CCL) workshop designed to equip Australian business leaders with the necessary skills to operate effectively in Bhutan. The workshop addresses the challenges expatriates face due to cultural and communication gaps, and the difficulties leaders encounter when applying their leadership styles in a new context. The objectives include enhancing language and workplace culture knowledge, understanding appropriate leadership approaches, and identifying potential drawbacks. The workshop agenda includes sessions on Bhutan's cultural history, speech therapy to learn Dzongkha, and leadership approaches. The expected outcomes are improved cognition, adaptability, leadership skills, communication, and self-reliance. The CCL program aims to improve the performance of leaders and increase organizational operations in the Australian-Bhutan context.
