Value creation
Nigeria needs clean water especially for the rural areas, and this is a crucial contract for them.
Many rural communities of Nigeria are at an alarming state of rising concern of safe water. But
due to inadequate source of policy makers the country is devoid of their fundamental rights of
accessing to pure water. The rural villages of Nigeria are several distance apart from each other
and so the supply of clean water. There is an utmost need of making a contract where the
government of Nigeria is willing to n supply water to the remote villages.
Nigeria is reach in water resources yet it suffers from water scarcity because less than 19% of
Nigerian population has access to safe drinking water. The scarcity of clean drinking water is
affecting health of the rural people of Nigeria. The people residing in the rural villages of Nigeria
are getting affected to several of water borne diseases such as typhoid, cholera and dysentery
(Abubakar, 2016). The water bodies such as ponds and lakes having fresh water supply are
located at large from the village hence the women and children of the village travel several
kilometers on foot to collect water. So much of physical labor is affecting life style of the rural
people. Due to lack of water supply, they are unable to maintain hygienic sanitation facilities.
Water is a basic emergency requirement each activity from daily life is dependent on water
supply such as cooking, drinking, washing cloths and so on. Hence it is very necessary to
channel safe water supply in rural villages of Nigeria these people are unable to bear a high cost
for their healthcare treatment (King, 2017).
Commitment to partnership
In order to form a partnership between Singaporean water Technologies Company and Nigerian
government there has to be strong cooperation from both the ends. The aim of the organization is
to promote sustainable development in the community. Therefore it encourages Nigerian
government to take initiatives for supplying water to the rural villages.
Water quality can be monitored and assured by Singaporean water Technologies Company
before Nigerian government distributes them to villages. The plan of action will be such that
there will be a tube well and a water filter installed for every five houses. People can utilize
water from the tube well for their domestic purposes such as cleaning and washing. Installation

of such water supply devices will save a lot of time from travelling to collect water (Damkjaer
and Taylor). According to the South African National Water Act the residents are entitled to
avail the minimum quantity and quality of water required for personal purpose. Wastage of water
can be minimized by joint action of federal and state government by tightening regulations. In
order to achieve the action plan the Nigerian government should maintain a database for storing
relevant information. In addition to this Singaporean water technologies company will encourage
the people for safe water practice through their technology and educate proper sanitary practice
(Damkjaer and Taylor).
Strategies, goals and tactics
The policies and procedures are to be formulated by the Government of Nigeria in terms of the
providing of appropriate water supply as far as the establishment of the business by the
Singapore based water technologies company is concerned. As a result, the process of
negotiation is to be carried out in such a manner by the company so that the Government of
Nigeria is to be convinced in terms of the formulating of the policies and procedures as aforesaid
with reference to the clauses of the contract as far as the execution of the deal in the desired
manner is concerned (Emenike et al., 2017). The decision makers in this aspect are to be
appointed on agreement between the Government of Nigeria and the Singaporean company in an
amicable manner as far as the viability of the implementation of technology related to water
supply is concerned. The application of the technology would result in the improvement in water
supply in the rural areas of Nigeria in a comprehensive manner thereby implying the
achievement of the goals and strategies of the organisation in the desired manner. The tactics are
to be taken into consideration by the company with regard to negotiation.
Organisational culture
A systematic hierarchy is followed in the organisational aspect of Nigeria. It further implies that
both Muslims and Christians in Nigeria follow a similar kind of hierarchy as far as culture is
concerned thereby implying that Nigeria is not hostile to multiculturalism. As a result, it would
facilitate the ease of negotiation between the Government of Nigeria and the Singapore-based
water technologies company thereby implying the equal distribution of water amongst the
general public of Nigeria without any major religious prejudices (Cronk and Bartram, 2017).
