Managing a cultural is one of the most effective initiative taken by most of companies in
order to expand their business in several regions across the globe. Cross cultural leads towards a
stronger more efficient communication as well as marketing which aims to reach company's
outside traditional market (Chen, Lin and Sawangpattanakul, 2011). Along with this, healthy
cross cultural entails interaction of individuals who belongs from varying backgrounds as it is
vital in international business. The prime objective of this assignment is to develop an strong
podcast thus to overcome with dilemmas which are being faced by HG business and related with
cross cultural management while starting new business.

There is usual manifestation linked with cross cultural management while owner of HG
business expand its business criteria within an unfamiliar cultural. At this time, firm needs to
deal within international market in order to know about market trends, communication process,
policies, marketing activities and so on aspects which are required to implement business in
other countries. Cross cultural management encompasses with coping in such manner as they can
introduce with various practices, trends and cultural of customers at global market. Basically,
cultural entails with morale, attitude, beliefs of individuals. In this manner, it is necessary for a
person to work under the cultural of a nation thus to understand its cultural aspects and norms
which can affect business activities or operations (PODCASTING IN EDUCATION: WHAT
ARE THE BENEFITS?. 2017). Henceforth, the entire project aims to demonstrate several
aspects of global business environment, managing cross cultural which supports to attain
customers' demand and priorities. Hydro Generation (HG) is a US based organisation that is
implementing dam construction project in Uganda. It is required for management to manage and
accomplish conflict issues which are related with completion of entire project so as to attain the
overall problems, like – national cultural, leadership, diversity and ethics & CSR.
PROBLEM 1: NATIONAL CULTURAL
As per the case study, James Green who is the Vice President of HG working on a project
since many years named, Dam construction project that is located in Uganda. Here, Charles
Martin is hired as a project manager who will handle all operations and activities of Dam
construction project. But James is not satisfied with work of Martin cause it affects cultural of
the organisation. Under this case study, the problem is emerging national cultural; it consists

leadership style which must be evaluated to attain firm's growth and success in global market. In
the given scenario, Martin is carrying its operations as per the requirements of project and
applied theories accordingly. Apart from this, James Green don't want to work against US
cultural as it is clear that he follows autocratic leadership style within HG for completion of
working procedures (Chhokar, Brodbeck and House, 2013). James is confused to terminate
Martin as the methods or practices he is applying to complete project targets. Following is
defined several issues which are associated with leadership styles that are stated as beneath: -

members. Due to lack of communication skills, James Green the Vice president of the
company unable to express his views to employees regarding Martin as what to do while

entails with basic principles and rules that govern attitude or behaviour of an individual and
keeps legality of an organisation (French, 2015). By considering this, employees and firm both
can work in ethical manner by following all rules and regulations. Apart from this, CSR is
known as an application which helps to attain sustainable growth and success of the company by
providing certain environmental and social benefits to customers. Following are the main
problems which are linked with Ethics and corporate social responsibilities: -

Uganda. As the project is implemented in this region so that different legal obligations
must be followed. But the Vice President thinks that if project manager will adhere such
laws or norms these can against as per the ethics or morale of the organisation.

equilibrium market. There is a social power which can internally and externally hinders'
business power.
Solution
In order to eradicate future consequences, it is fundamental for HG to creates its own
laws and regulations by considering US norms as well as business policies which can be assistive
in rendering guidance to employees to operate business at international level (Moja and Kwag,
2015). Managers should also understand cultural differences which can occur in developing a
Dam construction project in Uganda.

As the main objective of my assignment is to get good grades, my professors has
assigned me the project of Podcast and Script which I will have to complete with a team of four
members. The coursework is done by the efforts of whole team members who perform different
tasks or fulfil the demand of project. Me and my team members have learned several aspects
which supports us to recognise that how to work in team and sustain better outcomes in an
appropriate manner. Due to having strong personal and professional skills or experience we have
enable to project tasks in an effective manner. An individual can learn a lot of things from
projects activities and its findings which are being attempted in completion of this assignment
(Phillips, 2017).
Along with this, I have acquired several practical and theoretical learning that how a
country cultural can affect organisation's working activities and tasks. I also learn so many things
about podcast and script. It get determine that leadership styles play a crucial role in

frame for podcast so protect practices and make recordings.

project in negative way and face absence of information and data which interlinked with
