Introduction
Cross culture is defined as the group of people working together and those who belongs
to different cultural background. In other words cross culture can also be defined as an
organization initiatives for developing understanding about different groups. As Understanding
of cultural factors will help in building stronger as well as productive communication channel.
Another objective of learning about cultural is that it assists in designing the appropriate
marketing strategies and plans.
The purpose of the report is to identify the issues related to cross culture. It also have
emphasizes on determining the way several theories or models can be applied to resolves the
several issues related to cross culture.
Main body
I have taken an assignment on the topic cross cultural, as this will help me in identifying
the various issue relate to the cross culture. I have learned that Podcast is digital audio file which
will be present on the internet can be download on mobile device. I have also analyzed when
working in an organization that there might be several issues might occur when during the
expansion of business.
Problem 1 :
After executing the investigation I and my team members have found that first problem a
is the difference in the opinion of manager and other employees which has given rise to the
conflicts. These issues or disputes between the employees have direct as well as significant
impact on their performance. I and my team members by
analyzing this problem have address three core topics these are ethics , diversity , CSR and
national culture.
I have learned during preparing the assignment that Cross-cultural communication is a
field of study which helps in identifying the way employees belonging to different cultural
backgrounds communicate, in similar and different ways among themselves. It also helps in
identifying the way workers belonging to different culture endeavor to communicate across
values. I also have analyzed that creating the team of people belonging to different culture is
beneficial for the successful completion of the project. As people belongs to different culture
have their own views, values and beliefs which can be beneficial in terms of generation of new
ideas for completing the task in effective as well as efficient manner (Chen, Lin, and Sawang
pattanakul, 2011.) I have also learned that when operating business in the other country, it is very
important for an organization to analyses culture in the country (French, 2015) As this activity
will help in managing the business activities in successful manner. When working in an

enterprise. I have also realized that when expanding of business at international level, there
several problems which might occur (Moja and Kwag, 2015.) Therefore, it is essential that
management team in an enterprise should have knowledge about the culture as well as norm
prevailing in the nation. I perceive that development of the understanding about the culture will
help in several ways such as for an examples in negotiating with employees, identifying
abilities of worker. I have also understood that cross cultural management is very important in
terms of managing people as well as business activities in systematic manner. Cross culture
management involves several actions such as includes managing the work teams in a way that in
which includes differences in the practices, culture and also preferences of customers in context
to global business (Biggs, 2015.
Problem 2 :
The second problem which I and my team members have identified is inefficiency of
human resources' management. I and my group members have analyzed his
problem and related the issues with the topic leadership , motivation and organizational culture.
I have identified the several issues which is faced by my organization when expanding
the business operation at international level .Among one of issue which I believe that can create
barriers in achieving growth of business in the international market is ineffective human
resource management. I have analyzed from the given case study that project manager in an
enterprise wants to hire the local candidates which I believe that would be beneficial for firm in
terms of developing the understanding about the market condition .I have also recognized that
there has been dispute as well as disagreement between the vice president and project manager
due to difference in their opinion, value and beliefs. I have analyzed that Project manager wants
to follow the regulation as well as norms prevailing the host country which I believe is right and
essential in terms of running business smoothly and increasing sustainability in global
environment. I also believe that, there are few problems which are required to determined with
the context of business culture of Uganda which is striking with unlike policies as well as ethics
in an enterprise. I have identified a hypothesis such as Harrison culture model which can be
applied by management team in a firm for resolving the problems which is related to cross
culture. I have learned that Harrison model categories business culture into different segments
such as power culture, role, task person culture. I have analyzed that Under this person is more
talented as well as ambitious and power gained by an individual depends on the position in an
enterprise. In a firm, there are few people which influence the power. I believe that if Power
culture will be applied then top level management in HG enterprise will get the power to take all
the major decisions for an organization.
I have also analyzed that In a firm role culture is based on the rules and they are more
controlled and in context to this each and every employees are aware about their role or function
responsibilities. I have also realized that role culture is identified through the position of a
person in culture of an enterprise. So, management team in HG organization is planning to
implement this culture at workplace.

I have also identified that in HG enterprise specials team have been created by the
manager in order to resolve issue related to the project. As this is necessary activity to be
conducted in order to resolves problems quickly and in systematic manner. Forming a team by
involving people belonging to different culture is beneficial. As this activity helps leader in
ensuring the desired outcome. I have also experienced that managing such teams people with
different views, opinions, values, beliefs is very critical as well as complex task. , if HG
enterprise is working on big project , management in an organization can implement this type of
culture as through this they will be able to set guidelines for completion of project.
I have also recognized that person culture is only which is not accepted by any of the
business. There are only some business units which has adopted this culture and such
organization consider themselves superior. Person culture there is no formal structure is being
followed. So HG enterprise will not implement this type of culture as business entity have to
expand their business in Uganda and for this an enterprise will require support of their workers
(Ray,2014.)
Conclusion and recommendation
After executing the investigation I and my team members have reach to the conclusion
that manager in an organization have concern related to the sustainability of business. Project
manager if he
has knowledge related to the culture of both countries, he is unable to create a
balance between civilization when managing the project.
I believe that if I would be at the place of project manager I would have conducted the
internal as well as external assessment in the country where the business is to be expanded. As
this will assist business entity in identifying the culture as well as environment. I perceive that
implementing the Task culture will be beneficial for an enterprise, as this will help employees in
identifying their roles as well as responsibilities. I also think that also issues related to cross
cultural issues can be solved by providing open communication channel to employees and also
by promoting the team work. I also think that all the problems related to cross culture can be
resolved by encouraging the workers to share their ideas, values. I also believe that employing
the workers belonging to the host country will be good for an organization in terms of gaining
competitive advantage in the international environment. I perceive that effective leadership is
also the solution which will help business entity in dealing with cultural issues. I think that the
two project manager should be appointed. Local project manager should be assigned with the
responsibility of integrating the local community in the

project. I also recommend that both project manager should communicate effectively and
required to coordinate with each other. As this activity will help project manager in ensuring
successful completion of task.
