INTRODUCTION
Croupier is an individual that is hired by casinos which provide assistance or help to
people in conduct of game, mostly in case of distribution of payouts and bets. Croupier has
special capabilities to manage stress full situation and pay active attention to details. Decision
making skills helps individual to take correct and accurate decision within limited time frame
which is beneficial to all individual. Communication is most important and necessary skills
which need to be present in each and every person to share its view, ideas and feeling to other
person. This project has used Gibbs reflective cycle in order to find the way I have developed
several skills and capabilities while working in organization and learning in university.
MAIN BODY
It is an reflection of my one of the previous experienced as croupier in Grosvenor casinos
that have contributed in development of specific skills such as decision-making, time
management and communication skills. I have learned about the way Pestle and Swot model can
be applied and used for taking appropriate decision or understand about organization. Before job
as Croupier in Grosvenor I think that there is no use of various skills such as decision-making,
communication or Swot analysis (Pullman, 2018). But practically working as Croupier I get to
know importance of SWOT and pestle in knowing internal and external environment that affects
business operation and strategy. From the previous assignment I also get to know importance of
training and development program in organization. The way they can contribute in enhancing
skills, knowledge and performance of person. It helps employees to grow and develop to
perform numerous task within organization so that specific objectives can be attained. Thus,
training and developments helps individual to get the best opportunities in future circumstance
due to improvement in skills and knowledge. We have also learned about what is reflection,
different model of reflection, the way time can be managed and task can be performed in best
possible manner.
It can be stated that in initial stage of my job at Grosvenor I feel little nervous about
whether I would able to complete task or not. But as soon, I get some training I was able to get
courage and confident the way task could be completed and appropriate outcomes can be gained.
While working as a Croupier I have also experienced that there are various skills that I have
learnt at University which have helped me to effectively complete my task (Ramlal and
Augustin, 2020). Such as I have learnt about various model such as pestle and SWOT, the way

enhance my existing skills in order to get best opportunities in future career. So, overall the
education or knowledge that I have gained in University as well while working as Croupier was
most useful.
During the entire research I evaluate the it was the best research because it provide me an
opportunity to evaluate my skills. As it was my first project and I was so excited for the same,
while performing the task. I evaluated that I learn many skills like, time management skills,
communication skills, decision making skill and problem solving skill but among all, I identify
that I lack time management skill and problem solving skills which needs to be overcome. On
the other side, I evaluated that with the support of my tutor and effective research skill, I am able
to perform the work in better manner and meet the set target as well (Markkanen and et.al.,
2020). During the entire project, I come to analyze that while performing the task, I use different
theories and model that support the content and at that time, I realize that I posses strong
decision making skills which in turn leads to improve the quality of work. Moreover, I think that
I contribute my best in order to meet the define aim, but during the project I analyze that there
are some good and bad experience which I feel during the whole journey. Such that the things
which were good and worked well was the fact and application of theories and model within a
research. Also, the entire project is based upon croupier, a live dealer for barracuda club who
gain effective training and development programs in order to become a good dealer (Dhaliwal,
Singh and Singh, 2018).
On the other hand, I also evaluated that though I learn many interpersonal skills in
University but I somehow realize that I should focus upon time management skills because it is
necessary for every project to be focused and make a planning before implementing a project so
that all the task are attain within a specific tenure. Also, through the research, I evaluated that I
have a strong communication skill because it is necessary for a croupier to have a strong verbal
communication because they have to deal with person and that is why, there is a need to have a
strong communication skills (Sekarwinahyu and et.al., 2018). In addition to this, I also evaluated

in order to assist customer’s the way they can win game so overall it can be stated that I have

can make optimum utilization of available opportunities. On the other hand Pestle analysis
model has helped me to know about several external environmental factors such as policies of
government, economic condition, preference of customer's and environment factors that can
adversely impact on growth and success of organization (deBraga, Sonne de Torrens and Evans-
Tokaryk, 2019). From the above analysis and discussion I have learned that while working at
Grosvenor I have good decision-making skills that helps me to effectively support, guide and
direct customer's regarding bet and payouts. Therefore, overall all such learning from my
university has helped me in my future job as Croupier in one of the reputable firm that is
Grosvenor.

mine, as it was identified by me that I finds it very easy to find out the solution of the different
problem or issue which is faced by me and used to possess good sort of decision making skill as
well. Reason which was identified behind this two skill is the listening skill of mine, as I
generally used to listen to the variety of the different aspect of the problem faced by me and on
the basis of same used to make different sort of decision in the organization. At the same time it
has been also identified by me that I used to lack behind in my Time management skill. As it has
been identified by me that I am not able to complete the project on time or generally do not able
to manage the different task that proficiently in the team.
In coming time I will invest a good sort of the time and resources to develop the time
management skill of mine in the market. For the same reason I will be taking help of note book
and alarm clock in the organization. At the first step I will allot the different work according to
the priority of completing the work and on the basis of the same will making the variety of the
different note. This note will help me in getting reminder about variety of the different task I
need to complete and will eventually help me in getting information about the way task has to be
completed in the project. Also, I will be setting up the different alarm in the organization in
regards of the task which I need to complete in the project, this will eventually help me in
getting notification about variety of the task which need to be performed by me first and which
can be done later. I will be monitoring and checking my progress toward the skill with the help
of the bench marking framework in real.

After conducting the reflection it has been concluded by me that Gibbs model was one of
the best model through which reflection can be written. Reason behind the same is identified that
Gibbs model asked to explain the experience on the basis of different stages, this eventually used
to help in understanding the experience in the better way as compare to other model. Different
stages which are highlights in Gibbs reflective cycle are Description, Feeling, Evaluation,
Analysis, Conclusion and action. After going through these all stages I have identified different
strength and weakness of mine as well.
