Introduction
The report is prepared to discuss about the importance of global information system
implementation and how it can make a business sustain in the long run. The business
organization that has been considered as case study revolving around the concept of introducing
a new enterprise mobile app is Crystalnix and the app is named as Cristalite. The app is designed
to ensure that the communication process is improved along with enhancement of work flow to
speed up the work processes and production level of the organization as well. The app has been
designed with the use of electron framework for ensuring proper management of resources and
maintaining integrity all throughout to improve the business processes and functions much more
effectively (Balebako and Cranor 2014). The report is prepared to discuss about this global
information system strategy, so that it can be shared with the CIO and the operational efficiency
will be achieved at Crystalnix effectively (Crystalnix.com 2019).
Organizational overview
The business organization named Crystalnix is an established and popular developer of
websites and mobile applications located in Auckland in New Zealand and have catered the
needs and preferences of people all over. The best quality custom made applications are
delivered, which has allowed the company to present a positive brand image and reputation. This
has also helped in expanding the services related to telecommunications services, information
technology security, management of media based applications, etc (Brhel et al. 2015). There are
cloud based solutions that are offered along with update of embedded software applications and
desktop systems that further facilitated the company’s ability to serve clients all over Australia
and New Zealand.

I have been offered with the roles and responsibilities of managing an effective team with
the formation of an innovative idea, that can help in developing a new smart phone mobile app,
which can 3ease down the operations at the workplace and also improve work flow and manage
communications in a much better way (Ellul et al. 2013). As a senior manager in the department
of management of applications, I need to provide the CIO with an innovative idea that can ensure
proper development of the app. I have been working as a manager of the department of
applications and C ++ engineering and my core responsibilities include proper management of
code and designing of the app that can be feasible enough to fulfill the organizational
requirements as well as benefit other business and clients to ensure higher level of satisfaction
with the new app named Cristalite (Gothelf 2013).
Major drivers for the app
There are multiple aspects that are considered as drivers of managing the business app
perfectly such as the engagement of stakeholders including suppliers, employees, managers,
shareholders or investors, etc. The consumerisation of information technology and gaining
access to related data and information can assist in greater connectivity and allow for business
success. The cloud computing is another major business driver that allows the processes to
become data driven and dependent upon a specific device such as the smart phones. The cost of
ownership is another important thing that acts as driver of the app because it has created higher
power of processing and provided better security, though without compromising on the quality of
the product (Joorabchi et al. 2013). There are various platforms surrounded by rich frameworks
used to engage customers such as use of Wi Fi and Beacon technology that can expand the
business’ reach to the clients and interact with them consistently. The clients would be able to
get informed about the specification of the new item and check whether their needs and

requirements would be fulfilled or not, which further should influence their buying behaviors
(Könings and Gijselaers 2015).
Application concepts
The name of the app is Cristalite developed by Crystalnix, which runs on android smart
phones. It has been embedded with features that can help in managing smooth flow of work
processes along with improvement of communication proce4ss for increasing the production
level too. The mobile smart phone app is based on cloud technology and has been designed with
the use of C++ programming along with j queries as codes (Laudon and Laudon 2016).

The Cristalite app should be developed in such a way that it can be supported on both
android and iOS platform, which is an entirely new and innovative idea. The app must be user
friendly and can be used by tech savvy as well as regular phone users. The conversations are
managed as message stored in the message forum while the multiple app plug-ins made it gain
various functionalities at the same time, such as improved work flow and a more productive
workforce (Li and Halfond 2014). The exemplary design of the mobile app is to be good enough
for attracting viewers’ attention.
Advantages of using the app
The major benefits include the user friendly design and access conditions, the software
application is also very much intuitive and interactive, which promotes better communication
regardless of whether it should be used in s small or large sized business. The most suitable team
members are selected and are assigned with the right tasks based on their skills and knowledge,
which further assures better storage and security facilities. There are many accessibility features
like Google Drive, where data could be stored along with social media channel, i.e., Twitter,
Dropbox and even Sales Force. The time taken to send an email is saved a lot, because firstly,
the app allows storing conversations in message forum format and necessary data with a size
limitation can also be sent whenever necessary directly (Rugman and Verbeke 2017). This
mobile app does not only provide better work flow and communication, but also has been highly
effective for video conferences, sharing notifications and exchanging files along with archiving
feature as well.

The main audiences whom are targeted include the employees of organisations and other
businesses that need to enhance its work flow and communication process efficiency. There are
other people as well who are targeted such as the shareholders or investors, engineers and
business partners.
Application design requirements
There are multiple options that are available for managing channels and channels along
with management of navigation effectively within quick time. The files are kept organized
perfectly, which ensures that the users are able to know about the plug in functions, furthermore
get a much better user friendly and intuitive user design interface of the app (Swain et al. 2016).
Step by step
The various stages followed to develop he idea and create the app are to firstly,
identification of goals and objectives and at the same time, apply the server handling backend
logic according to the requests for commands. The developers of the app must be acknowledged
and skilled with using C++, J queries, Node.js, HTTP, application program interface and about
server based operations too. Each of the commands should be put with individual purpose and
send a request to a end pint of HTTP.
The configuring of “Add features and functionality” option would help in the creation of
newer commands and then cristal command should be used. The form routing is the next step
where the application program interface points or APIs required to control the request commands
appropriately (Wilson 2013).

To determine the predefined scope, it is important to access the various methods and
techniques of API followed by the cristal command running to ensure adding job description
along with log keeping features. The development version of the mobile app Cristalite should be
run with the use of command available by visiting the link http://localhost/api/commands. The
Chats and channels are created just within the panels and an additional swiping facility has been
provided for ease use by users with coding architectures. A tab has been formed for adding plug
in to the app while the search function is quite simple, thus allowing for decreasing the cognitive
load and conducting test for the app usability conveniently (Laudon and Laudon 2016). The Web
API method used for the case is chat.postMessage while the Test Method option should be
chosen for ensuring that the right messages are posted in the channel and the right transmission
channels are identified too.
After the app is developed, it is important to manage the distribution process for making
sure that the app reaches the right kinds of clients all over Australia and New Zealand. The team
members, all of whom, should be informed about the new app developed. The distribution to the
public could be managed by the addition of Oauth redirect URLs and use of HTTPS for
extensive features and enhanced compatibility. This would furthermore ensure proper
communication and better file sharing along with other functions within the workplace of
Crystalnix (Crystalnix.com 2019).
