This report details a design for Conglomercorp's enterprise data storage and virtualization needs. The solution involves setting up an ESXi infrastructure, designing a SAN using iSCSI without fiber channel, and virtualizing a file server. The SAN utilizes RAID 3 with three 500 GB disks to ensure data redundancy. A non-virtualized web server is also configured, utilizing FTP for file sharing. The report includes the setup of the hypervisor server, application and web servers (including vCenter), and the allocation of storage, with each server provisioned with 800 GB of thin-provisioned storage. The implementation utilizes Windows Server 2019 for file and web servers and an iSCSI target for the SAN, demonstrating a practical approach to meeting the client's requirements for customizability and storage management.
