TASK 2
P4 Research on a small scale
Basically two types of research methods used to gather informations which are qualitative
and quantitative. If a researcher wants to gain opinions of people on the topic, he can use
qualitative research method. As it is based on the public views it has no need of larger sample
size, on the other side quantitative research method is used to collect to numerical data which
can help to them to make a review on collected data. Larger sample size is used in quantitative
method which can help to reach to average opinion of people on that particular topic.
To find out how the event evaluated we carry out a small survey to see what people think
about British Heart Foundation and how can we improve the service . We choose a couple of

TASK 3
P5 Analysis of data
To obtain data for our project we used qualitative and quantitative methods to see people
expectations and thoughts. In this project we are promoting ethical and participatory research as
we are supporting and raising funds for people with heart problems.
As a method for collecting and analysing qualitative data we used individual
questionnaires.
There are 2 approaches to analyse qualitative data : one is to focus on your own aims,
interests, objectives and the other one focuses and encourage you to look more deeply into the
data for a vast perspective.
Quantitative data refers to project’s price, units, percentages, scores and can be gained
through surveys and questionnaires (as on our project), projects records, biophysical
measurements.
Quantitative data can be analysed through structure, variables and helps in decision
making.
There are a series of statistical techniques such as graphs, cluster analysis and analytical
techniques such as trend analysis, coding and typology that can be implemented in a project.
Graphical data analysis is presented here:

P6 Recommendations for TESCO and conclusion of project
Our research was based on presenting a questionnaire for the people coming to the
charity event organised in Tesco. As a method we used verbal communication and the medium
used was presentation. Both medium and method have a big importance in the project research.
From our survey we deducted that the majority of the people have basic information about
British Heart Foundation.
There are 2 types of data that can be implemented in a project: primary data and
secondary data
In our project we use primary data as we have to go and collect ourselves the information from
customers. Analysis its very important in an organisation it helps in identifying strengths,
weaknesses, risks and make improvements in their strategy.
On the basis of the above presented data analysis, TESCO has to use TV promotions
because most of the majority has influenced by the television advertisement, it can help to them
to motivate more people about the donations for the company. Larger sample size is agreed on
their donation CSR so it is essential for the company that they have to use it regularly and this
type of programmes should be conducted by the organisation. Most of the people said that
energy saving is an area in which company can succeed their future CSR projects.
P7 Self reflection on project completion
The information gained from our research had a positive impact on our project which
means our objectives have been achieved. Customers had a good knowledge about our
organization, which gave us a plus on the project performance and reflection.

We’ve reached our target, we raised more than £4000 and now we can help a lot of people who
need it the most which is brilliant.
It’s very important to know how the project was implemented, managed and monitored
so we can reflect and also determine the skills and competences used in the project such
as :analysis, project, planning, communication, target, team building, budget, risks which will
help us to identify how did we grow in competence.
We used reflection in our project which is a process where people need to look back on a
situation, understand it, learn from it and then using the new knowledge for future situations .
Reflection can be classified in 2 stages:
Reflection in action when you have to think on your own.
Reflection on action is when you have to look back on a situation that just happen.
If we reflect at the things we do, we can transform our behaviour, learn from our mistakes
and achieve better performances in the future.
For producing this project we had a great team, regular team meetings where each person
had his own contribution, we helped each other, we listen to different opinions and we choose
the best information. Our performance is based on our skills which helped us a lot to go further
in reaching our targets of implementation in our charity project.
On the completion of the project, I have gained the way to use Gantt chart in project
planning it can help to accomplish project in an appropriate time frames. I have used qualitative
research method which provides me learnings to collect data and information from targeted
people. This project will help me in my future projects while working in a company.
