AI Summary
This report examines how Sainsbury's can enhance its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The core problem identified is the disruption of the work culture due to remote operations, leading to decreased employee motivation, productivity, and communication. The report attributes this to the enforced remote work environment, which hinders team collaboration and managerial oversight. A potential solution involves a hybrid approach, allowing limited office presence while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines, coupled with the implementation of communication software like Slack and video conferencing tools to foster engagement and address employee concerns. The strengths of this solution include improved data accuracy, speed, and enhanced communication, while weaknesses involve the cost of software and potential technical difficulties. The report concludes by emphasizing the importance of academic and professional skills in resolving organizational conflicts and promoting sustainable practices through CSR.

As per the guidelines by the government only few people can come to office by following all the covid
guidelines.
It involves that employee who comes to office wear masks, carry sanitizer or to follow the social distancing to
prevent the spread of the virus.
Organisation can also proceed to use the software which is used by the all employees for better motivation
towards the work.
As company can use video conferencing tools through which all employee can communicate with each other,
or managers will guide the employees in forward direction, managers also need to ensure that every employee
is actively taking part in the activities. It will be easier for the manager to interact with every employee and
encourage them to effectively cope up with the pandemic situation.
Also organisation can proceed to use the Slack software which provide the chat box through which employee
can write their problems or to interact with other colleagues so that they feel encouraged towards their work
(Trinidad Raz and Magsalin, 2021).
Slack software is chosen because it gives the separate chat box through which the employee can easily ask for
their queries and to find the solution for it. With the help of software all employees will work productively to
produce the sustainable product by involving the CSR practices for the welfare of the societal people as well
as for their company’s brand value.
