This project, for BUSN20019, investigates the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and the financial performance of Woolworths. The study employs a qualitative research strategy, analyzing Woolworths' annual reports, CSR reports, and other secondary sources. The research utilizes thematic analysis to examine data related to CSR, financial performance, and brand image, addressing the research question: How have Woolworths' CSR initiatives affected its financial performance? The project includes a short literature review referencing works by Giannarakis et al. (2016), Platonova et al. (2018), and Hou (2019) to support the rationale. The project timeline spans twelve weeks, detailing activities from research topic identification to final submission. The study aims to shed light on how corporations use CSR to improve their financial outcomes and brand reputation, reflecting a contemporary business trend.
