In this paragraph, the Civil Rights Movement and the significance of the event in the
American history has been discussed. The Civil right Movement refers to the struggle for social
justice that occur during the 1950 and 1960s for coloured residents of US to gain equal rights
under the law in USA. By the mid of the 20th century, the prejudices and violence against black
individual increased to an tremendous level and they, along with a good number of whites, began
the unprecedented fight for equality. The target of the Civil Rights Movement is to enforce
constitutional legal rights for African Americans that were already been enjoyed by other
Americans. The mentioned movement gained its largest legislative during the mid-1960s after a
good number of direct action as well as grassroots protest organised during the mid 1950s to
19681. The event bears high significance in American history since it had abolished slavery
officially. According to researchers, though the mentioned movement had officially abolished
slavery, it was unable to put an end to the discriminatory act that took place against black
individuals2.
Another significant war that bears high significance in the American history includes the
Korean War. The Korean War was fought between North Korea, popularly known as the
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and South Korea. In the mentioned war, more than 2.5
million individuals had lost their lives. While North Korea had been provided with major support
by the Soviet Union of Russia and China, South Korea was backed by the United States. The
Korean War is considered as one of the first military action of the cold war that existed between

enhanced. According to researchers, in the year 1953, the Korean War costs the nation about 30
billion in the year 19533. The mentioned amount is equivalent to 351 billion dollars in uS in
contemporary times.
In this paragraph, The Cuban Missile Crisis, another event that bears high significance in
the American history has been discussed. The Cuban Missile Crisis that occurred on October
1962 was a hazardous confrontation between US as well as the Soviet Union during the time of
Cold War. During this time the two superpowers was closest to nuclear conflict. The disaster
was highly unique due to several factors like featuring calculations as well as miscalculations
along with direct and secret communications that took place between the two mentioned nations.
The mentioned crisis was viewed as one of the most crucial confrontations of the cost war4.
