CULTURAL BEHAVIOUR
Discussion
Cultural behaviour is one of the attribute of human being as it develops through effective
knowledge and experience development through the workplace or learning placement. Hence,
based on this context I can state that the culture of my workplace in the aged care facility helped
me in develop experience and knowledge regarding the aged care procedures. I am mother with
two children and also working as an assistance nurse in aged care facility is one of the most
critical factor for me at first. Hence, I can state that the experience in the facility and the help
from the senior nurses or the colleagues helped me in developing the knowledge, management
and experience regarding patient centred holistic care delivery. Thus, I can state that the culture
of the collaborative care delivery in my workplace is the factor that helped in develop and
improve my skills and knowledge1. In this context, I can feel that the communication with the
colleagues and the collaboration development with the team members develop the team work
and also help in the client satisfaction. Hence, it can be stated that the process of the cultural
behaviour development depends on the proper clinical experience and learning through the care
practical experience. I can reflect that the collaboration and the team work with the proper
communication and inter-professional interaction skills2. I also developed the knowledge of the
time management and constantly balancing the professional and personal life. Hence, I can state
that the process of the care delivery and the effective management are the most important aspect
of a nurse in an aged care facility. I developed the nursing competence focusing on the client
centred approach of care delivery. All these factors can be marked as the cultural behaviour for
myself and also focused on the improvement of the nursing competences.
