This research proposal investigates the effects of cultural discrimination on the productivity of Sainsbury's, a leading retail sector company. The study aims to evaluate the impact of cultural discrimination on equality and productivity within the organization, examining the importance of equality and diversity in the workplace, assessing the impact of cultural diversity on Sainsbury's productivity, and evaluating strategies to reduce workplace cultural discrimination. The proposal includes a literature review covering equality and diversity, cultural diversity, and the impact of these factors on firm productivity, drawing on sources such as Klarsfeld et al. (2016) and Ylöstalo (2016). The research will employ an interpretivist philosophy and an inductive approach, utilizing qualitative research methods to understand how employees experience cultural discrimination. The proposal outlines the research objectives, questions, and methodologies, including a Gantt chart and work breakdown structure to manage the research activities and timelines. The findings are expected to provide insights into how cultural discrimination affects employee morale, job satisfaction, and overall business performance. This research aims to contribute to the understanding of how to promote equality and diversity in the workplace and improve productivity.
