Introduction
The purpose of this reflection is based on providing views on cultural diversity and
intelligence. The provocation statement ‘All forms of culture (s) are of equal value’ will be
used for reflecting in this paper. Thus, in this discussion, I will talk about cultural diversity
and at the same time the value of every culture worldwide.
Reflection
In order to define culture, it is an aggregate of the attitudes, beliefs, norms, values as
well as customs of a group of people in a society. These values and beliefs are usually
transmitted from one generation to the next generation within that society only. In my
opinion, all cultures are having equal values and hence none of them is superior. In this
context, the concept of multiculturalism, cultural intelligence and cultural relativism are inter-
related. In general, multiculturalism is the concept where society accepts all religious and
ethnic cultures without promoting any particular culture.
I believe that every culture such as Baha’s faith, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam,
Hinduism, Sikhism and many more owns their own attitudes and beliefs. They all have the
same value and can be viewed as a blessing that preserves distinct arts, heritage, values and
good behaviours. Moreover, multiculturalism practice clearly communicated that no culture
is superior to others. It is worth knowing that such ideology assists different cultures to be
integrated easily. Besides, I have observed that this ideology and cultural intelligence avoid
conflicts among people due to which no group of people feels left out as well as isolated.
Furthermore, my own observations and studies suggest that people from all across the
world have accepted cultural relativism. The ideology suggests that any people’s beliefs and
activities should never be judged or considered in isolation but related to their culture. In this
way, I realized that all cultures are necessarily equal in terms of values and hence none is
greater than the other.
Therefore, for me, all the available forms of cultures are of equal value. It has been
realized by me in different scenarios and situations when I came to know about some cultural
beliefs and values of other cultures than mine. I felt that all forms of culture are
communicating almost the same message and feeling but in different ways. All forms of

culture are different in some key terms include language, community, stories and knowledge,
food habits, arts, skills, traditions and rituals and many more. On the contrary, all of these
cultures are showing their faith and beliefs in God or supreme power which makes life easier,
happier and better in all possible ways.
Conclusion
In whole, with this reflection, I could understand the meaning of culture and values in
the context of cultural intelligence and relativism. It can be said that all cultures in the world
are carrying the same values.
