Today's workplaces remain more multicultural than ever, as well as it's normal to work

opportunities. Also, it has created many challenges. Cultural differences are not just about
ethnicity, belief or nationality. Many people work in multigenerational institutions; have cultural
references, attitudes and assumptions that are incredibly different from their colleagues. And
cultural classes may even arise between teams and departments in the same institution. All of
these show that all people need to better at understanding as well as operating in various cultures.
That is where CQ, or Cultural Intelligence, comes in. This paper discusses things that relate to
cultural intelligence.
The cultural quotient is a term used in education, academic research, business and
government. CQ refers to the capability of an individual to function in a culturally varied
environment. The cultural quotient is vital for every person to work on, because communicating
with individuals from different cultures remains inevitable in the future career of an individual,
no matter what it is. I strongly believe that the concept of cultural intelligence is essential
because as a local minister, I shall be meeting with different people. As a local minister, I am
meeting with various individuals from all walks of life. Since I shall be working closely with
different cultures, it shall be especially essential for me to be adjustable to other cultures as well
as maintain an open mind to ways of life of other people. Without a cultural strategy, drive,
action and knowledge, I would be unsuccessful in working as a manager (Tax audit resolution)
and s a local minister. Therefore, the cultural quotient is essential because it enables diverse
individuals to be understanding of other people as well as their ways of life. Also, it allows many
people to share crucial ideas in the community.

Based on my cultural intelligence assessment results and personal reflection, these are my
strengths as well as growth areas in the four dimensions:
CQ Drive: This refers to the motivation to respond to and learn about a different
culture. Individuals who do not care what informs or shapes a society remain unlikely to adapt to
it. I scored moderate for my cultural quotient drive, as I am incredibly passionate about gaining
interest, as well as self-efficacy. I scored extremely high on the self-efficacy and moderate on the
extrinsic interest, and intrinsic interest. From this result, the two areas that I should work on
because they were moderate was the intrinsic and intrinsic interest. I am going to work on the
two areas by developing more confidence as well as looking for methods of learning when I am
in a different cultural experience. However, this result shows that I am incredibly motivated to
adapt to other cultural settings. Also, this result indicates that I am so confident in my capability
of interacting with individuals from different cultures. I will strengthen my cultural quotient
drive by improving on my cross-cultural communication skills.

CQ Knowledge: Cultural knowledge is about understanding how culture in
general shapes individuals' values, beliefs and behaviors. Out of the four cultural quotient
dimensions, this remains my weakest area. This is because I do not have a good understanding
of how culture may affect the thinking and behavior of people. Out of the sub-divisions of CQ
Knowledge, I scored moderately in business because I do not understand fully the economic as
well as legal systems within the culture. My score was high in the values as well as norms. I am
so intuitive when it comes to individuals' interaction and can quickly sense what people value as
well as to adapt an understanding of their cultural norms in a short period. I scored highest in
leadership because I have knowledge about managing relationships and people across cultures. I
shall improve my cultural knowledge mainly by observing how individuals from various cultures
interact. Also, I will try to avoid stereotyping as well as withholding judgment.

There are numerous ways I shall seek to increase my cultural intelligence in my
community. First of all, I am incredibly blessed to have an institution and a major that motivates
me to grow specifically in cultural experiences. I would seek to increase my cultural intelligence
by opening myself up to different experiences. Also, I want to find ways of improving my
cultural knowledge because that was my weakness. I shall give it the priority to enable me to stay
updated on current events in different parts of the world. This shall allow me to know what is
happening in different places. By doing all these, I shall have experience and cultural quotient
knowledge to plan on how to reach the various cultures in my community.
Cultural intelligence remains a vital part of becoming a disciple as well as making
disciples for numerous reasons. The first reason is that most of the characters that are in the
Bible, including Jesus, were from different cultures. It remains my dream to travel to Jerusalem
as well as different parts of the world where Jesus, as well as his disciples, may have travelled.
Secondly, it is essential to have CQ in order to make disciples since having a good understanding
of different cultures may make an individual share the word of God with others. There are
numerous cultures in this country, and without cultural knowledge, we will not be able to spread
the word of God to different people. Also, CQ is so essential when spreading the word of God
(gospel) since it shows humility, and it enables us to understand different cultures so as to spread
the Bible to many people. Therefore, it is essential both to have a CQ in order to be a disciple
