Introduction
The goal of this assignment is to study cultural safety to help the nurse’s in health care
centres to develop a plan to become culturally competent. The assignment will give us brief
information about the particular definition regarding the cultural safety, their goals and
objectives as well, the identified barriers that inhibit the provision of cultural safety and the
communists to prepare an action plan to become a cultural component.
The cultural safety for nurses in health care
In the medical and health sector, in this nursing profession the cultural safety is
concerned to create a healthy environment that is socially, spiritually, physically and emotionally
safety for them. A cultural safety also defines to in position where no assault challenge is taken
in place and is all about shared respect, experiences, and knowledge of a workplace that aims to
learn together with truly listening and dignity of an individual or patients (Scharrer and Coleman,
2019).
The cultural safety of nurses is a concept of care that has a relationship between the
nurses and the people who they do care. The patients who needed nursing and their care mostly
are typically deceived on their cultural safety that merges with the medical and health care unit
authorities.

To overcome these challenges, it is essential to develop a safe cultural practice that

safety procedure, they need to follows three steps as follows:
Step 1: Engaging the cultural consciousness or awareness that constructs the nurses to
create their recognition to set a unique cultural group. By engaging with the minority cultural
groups and to build collaborative control programs can be one of the imperative processes to
overcome the challenges.
Step 2: The cultural appraisal programs in the hospitals for nurses can help in identifying
the cultural domains that can further help them to give a plan of personal care to their patients
(Mkandawire et al., 2019).
Step 3: Developing a cultural safety skill with appropriate attitude, behaviour and
communication strategies so that the gap if inequities can be reduced between the co-workers to
give a high outcome in the patients care.
