Response to question 1:
Exercise science is targeted at improving the physiological and anatomical parameters
of individual thus improving the human performance to a functional and optimal level. Based
on the overload theory, the body first identifies exercise as a stressor and sees the same as an
overload. Once the body is habituated to the needs of the exercise, the systems are adapted
and the performance is enhanced. The goal of exercise science is to build the muscles and the
strength, power and endurance parameters of the muscle are enhanced (Bebeley, Liu & Wu,
2017). Thus it is important to understand, the goal is to improve human performance by
improving both the muscular endurance, flexibility and also the neural involvement. The
energy flow through irradiation is critical to strengthening of muscles and this is very
important that the various aspects of the exercise regimes work on this energy flow and
exercise science that is used in therapeutic sciences are also based on the same. The aim and
goal of human performance development is to build a functional independence, efficient
movement patterns through biomechanical and kinesiology integration. The aim and goal of
exercise science in human performance is to improve muscle strength through muscular and
neural adaptations and also to improve the fitness of the cardiovascular system (Cypryańska
& Nezlek, 2018).
Response to question 2:
Nutrition is a very important aspect of fitness and well-being. There is a huge protein
breakdown in the muscles as a result of exercising and the metabolic breakdown has to be
supported by proper nutritional supplement that aids the muscle rebuilding process and
increases the cellular activity for more muscle and tissue growth. A balanced protein rich
diet, is crucial to the development of the body. The portions of the food and mealtime play a
very important role in the muscle rebuilding process and the amount of fat intake has to be

athlete (Waddington, 2016).
Response to question 3:
The correlations and the graphical repressions are critical to represent the physical
changes. The statistical procedures that are used in exercise physiology are t-tests,
correlational methods and the chi square analysis.
Response to question 4:
Exercise physiology, initially was seen as a major and unique discipline in the field of sports
science and after graduating in the field of exercise science – but nowadays there are so many
options that has opened up in the field of exercise science such as bachelor degrees in the
field of exercise science such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and sport sciences
displaces that has led to employment and job identity crisis. The therapeutic and the sports
sciences with an increased need of the therapists and workers who has been working towards
the upliftment of health and well-being in the society. This has led to much role confusion
and role ambiguity in the exercise science professionals, especially in the undergraduate and
the graduate students, about their exact roles. In a professional community – an occupational
therapist, a physiotherapist as well the exercise physiologists must work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team (Harriss, MacSween & Atkinson, 2017)
