Homework Assignment
AI Summary
This assignment presents an analysis of a research ethics form, specifically focusing on a student's research proposal related to customer buying behavior and value for money. The form assesses the ethical considerations of the research, including participant involvement, potential risks, and data management. The student's research questions explore customer perception, changes in buying behavior, and the factors influencing value for money. The methodology involves a quantitative approach with a deductive research approach using a probabilistic sampling method, and data analysis using SPSS software. The project aims to assess customer perceptions regarding value for money concerning customer buying behavior, with a case study on Tesco. The student addresses ethical concerns by describing procedures to participants, ensuring voluntary participation, obtaining written consent, and maintaining confidentiality. The student also outlines the use of secondary data and introduces the research on promoting healthy eating within an inpatient unit through the development of nutritional awareness posters. The rationale highlights the increased risk of obesity in people with learning disabilities and the need for interventions to address environmental and behavioral factors. The research design employs a correlation approach to analyze the habits of healthy eating among care and support staff within the inpatient unit, with outcomes to be evaluated over a six-month period. The research will use quantitative analysis methods.

emotional harm?
☐ Yes ☐No
4. Will your research involve travelling to geo-politically unstable regions/countries
(e.g. areas affected by war, civil unrest, natural disasters, or listed as unadvisable to
travel by the UK government?
☐ Yes ☐No
5. Will your research involve access to security-sensitive material? If yes, you must
include a data management statement.
☐ Yes ☐No
This proposal must be completed with the assistance of your supervisor. You can
change the size of the boxes (below) by typing or deleting as necessary.
It is very important to convey with clarity:
Your research questions/the problem/the theme or topic you are investigating (what
you are proposing to do and to find out or to create)
Research questions:
What are the concept of customer perception in term of value for money?
What are the changes in customer perception when buying?
What factors of value for money that influences customer buying perception?
Provide recommendation measures to manage consumer buying behaviour with
reference to affordability of products.
The methodology or technical approach (for projects comprising in whole or in part
the creation of an artefact) you will adopt – methods, number of participants, who
the participants (if any) will be, survey instruments used technology and equipment
employed etc.; and what questions you are planning to ask your respondents (if
applicable); how you will deal with technical challenges.

PART 2
SPECIFICATIONS OF PROJECT
Please answer the following question:
1. Do you intend to use only secondary data in the conduct of your research?
☐ Yes ☐No
Introduction to the research
To introduce health eating within inpatient unit by developing effective nutritional awareness
poster.
Objective
- By raising awareness of a healthy diet through the poster within an inpatient unit
- improve exercise
- Health living
- The easy read
- To evaluate the outcome of the implementation on six month
Rationale
The evidence research highlighted that obesity in people with learning disability appear to be at
increased risk of being obese or overweight Atkinson, et al 2013). The chosen practice of area is
inpatient unit for women who has a personality disorder, therefore they are not practicing healthy
eating and exercises. Obesity and overweight are caused by many issues which determined by a
combination of metabolic, genetic, environmental, behavioural, cultural and socio influences.
Environmental factors and behavioural are large contributors to overweight and obesity. To provide
the greatest opportunity for actions and interventions designed for prevention and cure (Chapman
et al, 2008).

Method
Research design
Research design-
It is term that is defined as arrangement of collections and condition that aids to have depth
information. Thus, research design has classified into categories as correlation, semi-
experimental, experimental and observational. In order to carry out the present research, the
researcher has used correlation approach.
Participants (where applicable)
Habits of healthy eating in people with learning disability among the care and support
staff. The plan is implemented and will be view over a time frame of 6 months to
evaluate the outcomes in the health of people under inpatient unit having learning
disability
Analysis
CLEARLY describe the method of analysis you are going to use. Is it qualitative or quantitative?
Generally there are two types of research which include qualitative and quantitative.
Quantitative describes results which is based on systematic investigation of data's through
mathematical technique. Thus, researcher will use quantitative research type in this report.
