RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is one of the important chapters in research because it facilitates in
gathering data that is accurate, relevant, authentic and appropriate. For this researcher depends
upon different types of research methodologies that are explained below:
Research Approach
Research approach refers to set of actions that assist in evaluating and measuring
collected data. It is classified into two main kinds of approaches that are inductive and deductive
approach. In the respect of achieving present research objectives and to successfully analyze
information about the importance of maintenance of the customer service policy by providing a
quality service to the valuable customers and influencing them for the next purchase, deductive
approach is considered by investigator. Researcher with the help of this focuses on analyzing
data that is available in the form numerical format within very short duration of time (Igwenagu,
2016).
Research Design
It is defined as strategy that is used to take out research in an effective manner. So that
plan could be made to answer questions of the research through interpretation, gathering,
analysis and discussion of information. Descriptive research design is used in the current study in

briefing about the topic of the research deeply. This also assists in describing phenomena,
population and situation and focuses on attaining objectives (Mishra and Alok, 2017).
Data Collection
This is one of the useful research methodologies because it helps in gathering data by
different sources. The two types of data collection methods are: primary and secondary data
collection. For the present research study, researcher has taken help of primary as well as
secondary data collection. With secondary data collection researcher has aimed towards taking
out qualitative data for justifying the objectives of the research and for this books, journals,
newspapers and sites of industry have been used. Primary data collection focuses on taking out
information that is raw and for this researcher has taken help of online survey so that opinions
and views of customers could be recorded (Worthington and Bodie, 2017).
Sampling
Sampling is the method of choosing respondents and participants for gathering appropriate data.
It has two types that are probability and non-probability sampling. In this research, probability
sampling is taken because it assists in selecting large number of participants. 17 individuals are
selected as respondents to know about their choices, importance of customers and influencing
them for new purchase.
Analysis of data
This is defined as process that helps in analyzing and measuring gathered information
through various techniques that are analytical in nature. For the evaluation of quantitative
information researcher has taken help of frequency distribution analysis because it does not take
longer hours and assist researcher in attaining objectives of the research in an appropriate way.
Reliability and validity of instrument
In the present research, researcher has adopted the method of online survey for collecting
first-hand information. In online survey researcher has selected questionnaire as a method of
gathering data for the research study. This is an instrument that assists in gathering valid and
reliable information. It does not take longer hours and easy to understand by the selected
respondents (CuervoCazurra and et. Al, 2017).

ETHICAL CONSIDERATION
Ethics are defined as rules that may be written or unwritten. These govern expectations of
others as well as own behavior. There are different types of ethical issues that include approval
of ethics, approval of structure and design of research, analysis of information, communication
of confidential data, issues among members and their interest and many more (Clark-Kazak,
2019). Basically these ethical issues have negative effect on research as well as on investigator
because they become barrier in completing research in an appropriate way.
RESPECT FOR THE AUTONOMY, PRIVACY AND DIGNITY OF INDIVIDUALS AND
COMMUNITIES
Dignity and privacy of individuals and communities are one of the most important factors
while doing research on any topic. So there is need of formation of procedures and rules to make
gathered information confidential, taking consent from chosen organization and respondents and
using this information fairly (Patel and et. Al, 2016). There are various ways that assist
researcher to respect privacy of chosen respondents the first one is ensuring confidential
investigation and conducting research that has full consent. Researcher also aims towards
treating participants fairly by selecting participants without biasness and using right technique to
analyze information.
SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY
While conducting research, researchers should make sure that scientific integrity is
followed that mean all the values and rules are governed for ensuring honesty and
trustworthiness. For this procedures and policies should be formed so that regular following up
of activities could be done (Ellis-Barton, 2016). If any issues can be identified then it should be
prevented at right time and training sessions should be arranged so that researcher could collect
information with honesty and consider all the values of respondents and organization.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Social responsibility is defined as responsibilities of researcher to take required actions
and perform duties to benefit the society. In the present research, researcher focuses on beauty
products that help all those individuals, organizations and industries to provide products that
could attract attention of customers (Steffen, 2016). Researchers should also make sure that no

harm should be on environment and all the human rights should be adhered while conducting
investigation.
MAXIMIZATION OF BENEFITS AND MINIMIZATION OF HARM
While conducting research, researcher faces many risks that include harming the privacy of
individuals, publication of confidential information and so on. It becomes essential for researcher
to mitigate all the risks so that respondents do not feel any risk and take participation without any
hesitation (Hancock, Naaman and Levy, 2020). This would assist in getting accurate and useful
information from respondents.
