Question I
In this study, an explanation is given about the budget of the chain of hairdressing. The
name of the company which hairdressing company is ‘Cut Short’ which offers the
service of basic hairdressing style and has the received the report indicating the about
time wasted by the customer while they sit in the salon. Cut Short Company always
values their time which is a very significant and important related to the whole customer
day.
There is a Cut Short company who wants to open a chain of hairdressing which offers
the nominal and basic service of hairdressing and also receive the report indicating the
time taken up by the hairdresser to cut the hair of the customer and providing
satisfaction by cutting their hairs as per their requirement. It also wants to improve the
areas where they lack which grow the ‘Cut Short’ company in profitability. It also
provides the appointment which customer can pre-book on the website of ‘Cut Short’
company and can select the types of services they want from the company (Tsai, et. al.,
2012). They also give the different types of payment modes so that customer cannot
bind in one mode of payment. In this study, the Cut Short Company is also giving the
products for the hairs and has various options.
Recommendations:
The CEO of Cut Short company should use the effective techniques and methods to
reduce the rate of turnover of the company which generates due to the reason for the
hair stylists supply in the salon industry. A chain of process of Markov chain should be
applied by the forecast study done to supply the hair stylist for a chain of a hair salon
which Cut Short want to open in other region and want to expand their business all
around the place. The objectives and goals of the business plan for expansion must
consider the profile of the present condition of the firm ‘Cut Short’. The estimation of a
budget for the forecasted demand with respect to stylist and should bring down the rate

of turnover of the company ‘Cut Short’. In various countries which are developed, the
service sector includes not only manufacturing but also may more different things which
can change the working of the company and take the profits of ‘Cut Short’ company on
next level. The beauty industry has a huge amount of investment done by a customer
because they know the importance of beauty of the people and how much they care
about themselves. Cut Short Company always take care about the valuable time of the
customer because they know how much time they invest in styling their hairs and skin
care which is very important in any individual’s life and they can pay without any
question.
Cut Short salon should supply their customer as per their demand and requirement
which will help them to achieve the customer and satisfaction. This habit will
automatically increase the customer reach in the market. The hairstyle industry is the
not just a normal industry, it is the biggest industry of today’s time because the
competition in this field is very high and everyone wants to be best in cutting and styling
hairs (Allison and Ossman, 2014). The global industry of the salon industry is included
and encompasses the cosmetic, cosmetic surgery, perfumes health clubs and pills for
controlling the diet of an individual because it is very important for them to get the best
results.
Cut Short should keep the prices of their services and products for the customer
because the price factor is the very main and important factor in the market of high
competition. The promotion of the stores of the hair stylist is very important to grow the
name and image of the company in the market. Some of the promotions strategies
should be used by Cut Short Company which will definitely provide an extra edge to the
company. The working of the company involves the process of transition for example,
teaching students about hair styling if anyone has interest in this field. The probability of
transition from the various level of the hierarchy can be used to examine and measure
the hair salon workers supply.
Cut Short should take care of the amount of payment done to others. The system of
payment of the hairdressing and salon industry must include the payment based on
time, performance and combination of these payment systems in some of the cases.

The basic charges and main sources of income might come from individual taking the
commission on the payment of hair stylist. Cut Short should adopt the different mode of
payment which will be really helpful for those customers who do not carry cash with
them and in today’s modern world e-cash is really useful for all the types of business
and especially Hairdressing Company because sometimes they do not uses other
modes of receiving payments from the customers (Penzone, 2016). It is highly
recommended for the hairdressing industry to keep a track or record of the payment
happening in the company.
The profit earned by salon industry, manager of Salon Company should make sure that
hairdressing companies should be promoted without any bump in the road of growth
and role of stylist is also very important in the growth of a salon like ‘Cut Short’. Cut
Short is thinking of budget the chain of the hairdressing industry and wants to have the
right amount of hair stylist in the company is also very important if they want to expand.
The company like Cut Short always prefer to have the most professional hair stylist who
apprentices in the salon industry. If any student wants to learn the tricks and methods
of hairdressing then they should be promoted because it is very important to encourage
student if they want to choose this field.
The chain made by Markov has forecasted the methods which are used for the
excretion of original data. It can also be used to grab the knowledge about the situation
of charges on personnel who are involved in the working of the organisation. There are
a number of employees and workers on the same level and time of staff which is
expected by them to be engaged with the company and involved in the working of a
company all the time. However, the chain of Markov can be used in the company or
organisation just for the assessment of the recruitment and staffing policies which
comes under the probability of transition (Jo-ting, et. al., 2013).
It is very important for any company to have such type of members in the team who
know how to work very well and can satisfy their customer to the fullest. Every type of
business is just running on the purpose of customer satisfaction and hair styling and
dressing is the type of industry in which all the image and profit of the company is just
based on the service which is provided by them to their customers and their satisfaction.

A customer can only be satisfied by giving or providing them with what they want or
expect. The markets of hair styling are increasing day by day and want highly diversified
workers or dressers who can bring something new in the market which can attract their
customer because only those types of people or companies can survive and rest cannot
move further.
Cut Short should focus on customer satisfaction because it can provide growth, goodwill
and image for the company in the market. It shouldn’t be focusing on the growth in profit
otherwise they will not be able to give their full attention to their respective customers
and cannot fulfil their demands.

Business operation is known as the operations which are formulated in the activities of
the business to achieve the goals and objectives of a business. The business
operations vary from the different types of business like size, industry, etc. There are
elements of the business operations which taken into consideration while running a
business like staffing, process, equipment or technology and location. The most
important element of the business operations process because it impacts on the
production power and efficiency of the company. Staffing is the type of element which is
known by the processes which are done to achieve the goals of the company. Location
is also an important factor of the company to grow and technology helps in satisfying
the customers in lesser time with more effectiveness and efficiency (Shangqin Hong, et.
al., 2016).
Here are two suggestions which can help in improving the business operations of the
company:
Streamline and simplify:
If a company is turning into a two-step task then it will be considered as the changes in
the production and making of the company. The world of business is frequently
changing and increasing day by day and new methods and tools are also used for the
production process so that it can streamline the operations of the business and also
grow the workplace’s productivity. Companies like Cut Shorts always take care of the
everyday operations because it helps in tracking the level of production and quality of
the product and services which they are providing to their customers. If a company
wants to grow in their field of business then they should leave the old habits and apply
new techniques and methods of production and customer satisfaction which helps in
grabbing the core reason of the higher profit in the business world (Mark and Bennett,
2015). It is not possible for a company to change all the types of activities form the
company because some activities are really important for running the business and they
always make business and working of the business unique. For example, if a business
of a restaurant is running for years and it earns a good profit, so nothing will be needed

Resolve minor issues:
If a company wants to improve its business operations then they should try to remove or
resolve the small type of problems which may take a longer time to solve as compared
to big problems. An owner of the business always needs to fight from these type of
small issues which is faced by the company. These types of problems are the main
reason behind the slower production rate because they do not concentrate on the small
problems and leave bigger problems which eventually make those small problems into
bigger one which may take longer time to solve as compared to smaller ones (Steel,
2016).

Conclusion:
The main objective of this study is to explain how a hairdressing company or industry
can grow and establish their business. The other main goal of this study is to explain the
changes which can be done in the business operations for the betterment of the
company or an organisation. Two suggestions are also given in this study explaining
how a company can improve its business operations and working of the company.
