Introduction
A Curriculum Vitae basically known as CV is a type of professional document which describes
the educational qualification, work experience, strengths and objectives of a person. After
graduation students seek for the job opportunity to make their career where it is very difficult to
find a job now days(Mills and et. al., 2021). Pandemic forced employers to more focus on the
graduation based recruitment rather than work experience based recruitment. This report will
describe the different aspects to enhance the CV. At the end, overall crux of the report and
references will be included.

Different aspects of boosting CV
As we know that Curriculum Vitae is often considered as CV which plays an important role to
get job opportunities. It is necessary to get to know about different factors to boost CV and then
incorporating them into it to get attention of employers(Hobson and et. al., 2022). In order to
boost CV performance an individual can include extra curricular activities, additional skills,
strengths, educational details and trainings in the CV. Refreshing writings according to the CV
trends also helps to boost professional document. Attractive CV increases the chances to get
interview call. There are different aspects to boost your CV as following:
Making connection with peers: It is very useful to make connections with the
employers and employees in the different companies to get access of industry knowledge
in details. It is also helpful to get internships and training opportunities in various
organisations(Pokorny and et. al., 2018). Making connection with peers leads to get the
practical industrial exposure. Hawes said that making connection with your university
career and placement cell leads to connect with alumni in order to get job opportunities.
To build strong network and relations with peers is a key aspect to find out job
opportunities. To make connection with peers there are various social media platforms
such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and many more which can be used to send emails
and CVs directly to the peers. You can send email send an email to the connection of
different field and invite them for meetings. In such meetings, you can introduce yourself

by mentioning about your capabilities, skills and qualifications to explore the available
job opportunity in their company. Therefore, making contact with potential peers help the
job seekers and university students to explore job opportunities. And then mentioning
such opportunities an individual can boost their CV.
Getting experience virtually: In todays world, online job opportunities become popular
after pandemic. With the help of such online work an individual can get access to work
from home, online trainings and E-experience which can be further used to boost CV.
Now students can easily complete their trainings or online learning being at home
only(Huertas-Valdivia, 2021). It only needs laptop and a stable internet connection. In
case of traditional internship, it includes huge number of job seekers or university
students with limited job opportunities. However, online nature of virtual training
programs enable students to get work experience whether the company established within
the country or outside the country. Online courses can be accessed using various virtual
learning platforms such as Udemy, Coursera and many more. Virtual training program
involves video tutorials, online meetings, online assignments etc. It is provided with the
help of e-learning platforms. In this training students are organized in team members and
allotted with an instructor or training manager. After completing the online training,
students will get the certificate and then they can mention this certificate in their CV to
the its performance.
Making own experience: Being in the process provides learning to the students or job
seekers whether they get job or not. Bromley mentioned that a student of marketing
offered promotional strategies to the local businesses(Macfarlane, 2020). The students
learned such promotional strategies while he was searching for job. When you share
about your own experience like extra activities, part time job or side business it helps to
gain attention of employers. You can share your learning from own experience it leads to
the positive impact on employers.
Focusing on skills instead of setting: Hawes said that volunteering plays an important
role to boost CV. You can volunteer university works such as extra curricular activities,
organizing events etc. in the spare time(Cunningham-Williams and et. al., 2018). It
identifies about leadership qualities. Volunteering and doing part job along with studies
describes about your time management skills. Bromley describes that university students

can volunteer social issues and concerns to support people in the society. It can be
achieved by participating community programs in societies and organizing workshop in
the university. It helps students and job seekers in soft skills development and to boost
CV.
Personal experience
If I talk about my personal experience of CV, I am not very much happy about my CV. I was not
aware about to mention different skill set in the CV. I have not created my CV as per recent
trends and related to job profiles. I also have not added additional skills, voluntary work and
achievements in the professional document. I have not enrolled in online courses and virtual
internship programs in order to effective CV. I was not aware about the importance of making
connection with employers and peers in order to get better job opportunities and industrial
exposure. After from this analysis I have learned the importance of skills and how these aspects
of learning helps to boost CV. Now, I will enroll myself in online courses, internship programs
and voluntary work and mention them in my CV. I will share my own experience to employers.
This thing will help to attract employers.
Conclusion
From the above mentioned essay, it is concluded that how students and job seekers can boost
their CV in order to get job opportunities. It defines how it is important for job seekers and
university graduates to make effective CV in order to get job opportunities at the end of
graduation period. It defines various aspect to boost CV such as making connection with peers,
sharing own experience, getting online experience and focusing on skill set. It further describes
my personal experience that why I am not happy with my CV.
