INTRODUCTION
In order to understand about one's life and to get a better understanding about their personality
there are many models which can be helpful in being aware and known about one's
characteristics as well. One of those model which will be described in this essay will be the CVF
Model which is also known as the competing values framework model. This model is a practical
tool which is helpful to analyse not only the individuals but also the culture of the organisation as
well(Berdnikova 2018). This model also provides the illustration of the key values such as,
leadership style, values and other approaches that needs to be changed. This essay will include
the self reflection of group presentation in which the CVF model was applied on princess Diana.
Along with that it will also include the importance of teamwork in the group presentation and
uses of various models of teamwork such as the Bel bin's and Tuck man's group development
model.
MAIN BODY
A group presentation was been allotted to us and I was a part of the group. which has chosen the
model of competing values framework This presentation has helped all of us members to share
the different perspectives of the topics and other different point of view was also collaborated.
With this presentation I have also learned a lot about various topics and grasped a lot of
knowledge about different things. Along with that I have also developed my teamwork skills
which has enhanced my working capability in a team. The group members has applied The
model of competing values framework on the princess Diana spencer, who was well known for
the style and her relatedness with the fashion industry as well. The princess was also known for
her charitable work for different communities. She was a member of the royal family of British
and also she was the first wife of Charles prince. The princess was remembered as the people's
princess as she was very kind and generous in nature who was always there for the general
public. Diana was always in the highlights due to her fashion sense and beauty carrying the best
attire according to her self(Cennamo 2021). She also got divorced with Prince Charles after
approx 15 years of marriage. The competing values framework which was applied on Princess
Diana was helpful for the group members to make the presentation effective and interesting and
it also created a better understanding regarding the characteristics, personality traits and other
aspects of her life including various areas which were needed to be described and managed in the

presentation which was given to our group. The presentation was based on the core values of
teamwork and effective abilities to perform in a group.
Being a part of a group and preparing a presentation with three different people was quite
amazing as I got to experience a lot of things during the group work (Exner 2020). The
experience can be described by me through the help of Tuck man's group development, this
theory was proposed by the psychologist Bruce Tuck man in year 1965 this theory helps us to
describe the movement of teams through various phases and stages it also explains the
development of various skills , ability and relationship within the team or a group. The theory
consists of five different stages which elaborates about the experience in different stages.
The first stage of the theory is known as the forming stage in which the team members are
introduced to each other and the task is allocated to them so as to start the work and assignment
which is provided to them. This is considered as an interesting and amazing moment for the
individuals and the team members as they tend to behave independent,y in this stage and they are
encouraged to initiate conversations with the different members of the team as well. During this
stage, Me and My group members were socialising with others and trying to get more knowledge
about each other and areas of interests as well. This stage had also allowed us to discuss about
the project goals, timeline in which the presentation would be submitted and the discussion about
various roles that has been played by the individuals so as to promote the efficiency in the group.
The next stage was the Storming stage which refers to the stage in which the initial excitement
and level of interest gradually decreases. In this stage, the weight and burden of completing the
work starts increasing as more pressure is generated by the seniors to submit the project on time,
in this stage Various issues takes place such as temper issues, ego issues and other problems
which can effect the group efficiency and other areas as well(Lynch,Lynch and Clemens 2018).
From my experience, this stage was the toughest of all as one of my group member has anger
issues and also he was careless towards his work, so it was quite difficult to cope up with him
and make him understand to work effectively towards the direction of completing the work on
time within the time framework.
The third stage was Norming stage which is the stage in which the team can get into the groove
and grind of the work and the team members starts working together as a group or a perfect team
sop as to complete the work and the task which has been allotted to them. In this stage, there can

also be some overlaps with storming as well. From my experience, this stage was quite healthy
and busy and it has also developed the sense of belongingness and teamwork which is
considered as an important part in working together, this stage was also quite effective in
working effectively as every member of the group or the team were efficient enough to perform
their particular task on time and their productivity was also excellent at that particular point of
time.
The fourth stage is the Performing stage in which The team is quite high and effective in which
the full focus and understanding is on the strengths and weakness of the different members of
the group so that they can be familiar with each other and can help them in a way so that their
weaknesses and shortcomings can be improved(Mark 2018). In this stage each and every
member of the group and the organisation is quite motivated and confident as they are supported
enough in the areas oof their interests. My experience of this stage was also nice as the group
members of my team worked in a way so that the strengths and weaknesses of us are discussed
and also paid full attention and we worked together in a way so that the skills and other areas
which comparatively weaker are supported in a good way.
The last stage was the Adjourning stage which is described as the one in which The project ends
the team gets disband and also the team parts their ways after the completion and submission of
their work. This is the final stage in the teamwork and the group development theory of Tuck
man's. According to me, my experience if this stage was quite nostalgic as the team members
were separated and our group also was divided. It was a good and quality time which was spend
by good and knowledgeable members by which the work became more interesting and amazing.
The presentation was completed with giving different roles to different team members, as it is
quite necessary to allot different work And roles to the team members so that work can be
divided in such a way that the burden can be reduced and the work can be completed on time
also. For Assigning the roles and getting the details about various roles which has been given to
the individuals, I will be using Bel bin's team roles, this model which is action, people and
thought oriented in this model, each role is assigned with typical behavioural and interpersonal
strengths. Bel bin also defined different characteristics of people through which the roles is
assigned to them.

The first role that is assigned to the first member of the team is the team worker, this ,ember has
helped the whole team and the group in an effective way as the member helped to gel up the
team by using their versatility and he has also identified the work which was required and also
helped the team members to complete their work on time(McCaughan 2021). The strengths of
the member was quite effective as he was cooperative perceptive and diplomatic also and a bit of
hesitant at times to make the unpopular decision and also he avoids the confrontation too.
The Next role that has been assigned to one of the member was Shaper, as he was the one which
provided all the necessary drives and information regarding the project and the presentation. The
strengths of the member was amazing as he was challenging and very dynamic in nature he also
thrives the situation of pressure and also drives the courage to overcome the obstacle, the
individual has helped us in many ways to shape our project and presentation in an effective way
so that it can be more attractive and clear.
The third role that has been stated according to the Bel bin's team roles was Implementer, which
needs a workable strategic plan so that the efficiency towards the task can be carried. The
various strengths of the person was practical, reliable and efficient. She was also goal oriented
and worked in the manner to implement the plans and thoughts to the actual projects as well.
The last role which was assigned to me was the role of specialist as I am good at looking at the
details of the areas of the project or the work which needs more attention. Single minded, self
starting and being dedicated towards the work are some of my abilities and core strengths
through which the given role was allotted to me so that I can help in the best possible way to
achieve the target of our presentation and we can contribute towards the best of our knowledge
ion completing the work which has been given to us.
By taking part I the presentation I also got a chance to apply certain components of competing
values framework which has basically four components so that the various abilities and
effectiveness can be improved with having a development in different areas such as leadership,
teamwork, creativity and other areas as well. With opting these components I got more effective
and my values also got increased(van Geffen 2020).
The first component which was opted by me during the presentation was collaborate, as being
together and collaborating with other team members and group members can be helpful in
promoting the work efficiently the collaboration has also helped me to know more about the

different perspectives of my team members as I got to know each and every member on a good
level by working with them. This component of CVF has also helped me to enhance my
leadership qualities up to a great extent(Newbold and Holzer 2020).
The next component which was used by m,e during the group presentation was to create, as
being creative is very helpful to promote the work more nicely and it also encourages the level of
my creativity towards the completion of the presentation. This component of Competing values
framework has developed a sense of creativeness in me, which can help me in the future projects
also.
CONCLUSION
The above essay, went into detail with many complex topics such as The Competing values
framework which was described and further more the application of this model was done on
Princess Diana so as to know about her qualities and characteristics of personality. Along with
that, a group presentation has been completed with the help of team work and good presentable
qualities as well. The various models and theories were also been highlighted in this essay such
as Tuck man's group development for sharing about the experience of teamwork and The
belbin's model for assigning the various roles to the group members. At last, the use of CVF
( competing values framework) by me in the group presentation has been discussed by opting
various components of it.
