Introduction
Personal analysis is the assessment of skills and capabilities acquired by an individual
currently. Career Action Plan refers to a roadmap starting from choosing an occupation to
getting advancement in a professional career. Individuals can reach career goals with the help
of a comprehensive development plan. In Coursework 1, job opportunity for an HR manager
has been identified. Skills required for this position are effective communication, strong
decision-making power, leadership and others. Knowledge needed for HR manager position
can be occupational health, quality management, safety and environment management,
recruitment training and selection.
The report shall review current experience, skills and knowledge identified in coursework 1.
It shall develop a Career Action Plan addressing personal development and specific activities
related to career. A CV shall be prepared for a graduate level position identified in previous
coursework. The report shall generate a LinkedIn Profile combining career summary, skills
and educations.

Skill, knowledge and experience
Strengths
Communication skill is vital to deliver and acquire information quickly in workplace
(Zepeda, 2013). I have good written and oral communication skill that helps me to express
myself clearly in front of everyone. I prefer interacting with everyone and consider issues of
peers with whom I am assigned with tasks. I am a proactive listener, as I focus only on
speakers without being distracted by others. Recently, I was attending a seminar on talent
management at my university. At the end of the seminar, we were asked certain questions on
the topic delivered to us. I was able to answer all the questions put by the mentor and
appreciated by everyone. I received good feedback from my tutors on my written
communication.
Leadership skill helps to resolve workplace problems, create vision and guide people to thrive
on goals (Lussier and Achua, 2015). I have essential leadership skills that can be helpful for
HR manager job position. I prefer leading a team while we are given a group task or
assignment. I ensure participation from all members to carry out Group tasks successfully. If
I find any member is incapable of performing an individual task, I guide and empower them
by giving some easy tricks. For instance, my project supervisor has assigned me a project to
accomplish in a team. I was leading the team and able to complete it within the time given
my guide. Conflict-resolution skill strengthens relationship and improves engagement with
peers (Jackson, 2015). Team members faced a conflict situation while deciding budget
regarding the project. However, I managed the situation by allocating cost to individual task.
I am a quick and effective decision maker, as I investigate the root causes of a problem and
gather several solutions matching a challenging situation.
HR managers carry out operational and functional activities including planning, staffing,
managing performance, developing employees and others (Lussier and Hendon, 2017). I have
two and a half years of experience in recruitment and selection of candidates. I have worked
in two small business firms, where I was taking responsibility for hiring candidates for the IT

force me to perform multiple works at a time, I failed to complete all tasks assigned to me. In
my previous employment, my senior managers were disappointed with my work. They gave
me two days to complete the hiring process for twenty fresh candidates. The duration was
short to cover all activities, including analysing candidates profile and asking them to attend
an interview. I could not complete the process, which made my managers disappointed. I am
a lack in adaptability or flexibility skill, as I cannot adjust my current working style with a
new environment. I take more time to be acquainted with such situations and my peers feel
this may influence my efficiency negatively. Job opportunity for HR manager position
requires three years of work experience in the fields of HR management. However, I have
only 2.5 years of experience, which may prevent me from grabbing the opportunity.
Though I am able to make clear and unique decisions, I lack in creativity skill. The skill is
important to bring reforms in business processes and improve current practices. I am
incapable of suggesting new things that can be helpful for an organisation to gain

An Action plan will be made to support areas of improvement in career related activities and
personal development. It will cover the knowledge and skills that I want to develop to ensure
the highest performance. It shall decide timescale required for achieving effectiveness in each

The study has carried out a personal analysis to review experience and knowledge. From the
