1CYBER CRIME ISSUES
In this research proposal, I am focusing on the topic based on the increasing number of
cyber-crimes. In this proposal, I have justified on the rate of cybercrime issues that have been
faced in the recent times. One such example that I have demonstrated in this part is the
WannaCry ransomware attack that had occurred in 2017. During the entire research, I have
focused on discussing about the current situation of cybercrime rate and the different ways in
which the different attacks could be prevented.
From this discussion, I have been able to gather knowledge about the current cybercrime
rate that have occurred within the top 20 countries of the world. The report collected from Cyber
Security Agency in Singapore had discovered about various facts about the extortion of
resources. Cyber threats have affected different websites and had thus defaced different
companies. It has also been seen that the different payment platforms such as Pay-Pal and
different file-hosting services have been the prime targets of cybercrime.
The further progress on the discussion also shows the rate at which cybercrime has
increased. The annual revenue based on cybercrimes has been displayed based on a certain kind
of analysis. In this discussion, further emphasis has been given on the impact of cybercrimes on
individuals and businesses. This would incur financial losses due to the sever kind of impacts
based on cybercrime. Reputational damage would also put an impact on suppliers from not
providing supplies to the industry. Based on conclusions derived, I have also recommended for
solutions that would help in lowering the effect of cybercrimes.
