Ethical and Social concerns of converging technology:
Apart from the benefits accounted due to the incorporation of advance cyber technologies
there are several limitations which has been also identified while utilizing the converging
technologies. Those limitations are mostly concerned with the individual privacy, autonomy
as well as the individual freedom. Followed by a thorough investigation the concerns related
to the convergent technologies are listed below:
 Due to the implication of the cyber technology and information technology one of the
significant impact is the data security issue. Considering the growth of information
technology it has been noticed that while dealing with the information technology due
to lack of protection those information can be misused by the cyber criminals which is
highly dangerous for the users (O’Brolcháin et al., 2016).
Along with the above mentioned aspect it has been also noticed that there are several
other limitations present due to the implication of convergent technologies, those issues are
listed below:
 Since, nowadays all most every people used the social media platform where they
share their personal information. Followed by the aspect of data analysis those
information can be extracted for any individual’s personal benefit. Hence, the privacy
of that person can be affected (Stahl et al., 2017).
 Hacking is also a significant issue in the IT system since, due to this the hacker can
get the access of individual’s personal data. In the field of financial transaction the
possibilities of hacking is highly significant.
 Data loss is also one of the impactful issue while discussing about the convergent
technology. Due to the lack of effective IT system there is a high chance of data loss
which can cause a serious issue.
