Discussion on Cyberbullying
Through addressing all the details and information, I analyzed that the activity of bullying is
done through using technology. After completing the schools or neighborhood, we moved to the
world of online. This activity in which bullying is done through the means of electronic is known
as Cyberbullying (Slonje & Smith, 2018). In today’s world, everyone is having the desire of
connecting with new friends and this option for growing is changing continuously. Not even
children do not have a desire for their own games, tablets, mobiles and so on but also they want
to popular on social media through engaging in sharing information and online games.
Technology allows the young generation to connect and make a relationship within a meaningful
manner. This may include sharing of videos, photos, ideas and so on. The cyber world is having
unsupervised nature which needs more guidelines, social responsibility, and guidance.
In the discussion, I able to analyze various theories of Cyberbullying and in last I analyze that
Cyberbullying is an activity that occurs while making fun of another person through online
media or repeatedly picks the other person continually through messages and text. This activity
also involves posting something online about another person like their personal information
(Kowalski, et. al., 2012).
Cyberbullying is having a great impact on the person as it targets directly the serious problem
such as low-self esteem, depression, anxiety, stress and so on. The person who is bullied through
cybercrime can feel uncontrollability than the traditionally bullying as it is having less control
over the viewers and ability to stop bullying. Both the Cyberbullying and cyber bullies lead to
less satisfaction to school and college students and their accomplishments. Cyberbullying is
occurred due to the lack of confidence, feeling better, finding it entertaining and so on. It is more
important to address the activity of Cyberbullying to stop the increase in crime (Li, 2016).
