Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is the act of threatening or intentional intimidating someone by sending
the electronic message via ICT. The assessment will discuss its affect and prevention measures
of cyberbullying.
Effects of Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying affects the people from any age or walk of life including children, teens
and adults who all feel distressed. Victims of cyberbullying often find it difficult to feel safe
(Beckman, Hellström and von Kobyletzki, 2019). It may escalate the feeling of fear among
people who are exposed or humiliated. People who are traped in a cyberbullying feel alone,
isolated and even they anxious and depressed. Victims feel dissatisfied, angry and vengeful
which may leads the way to their suicide.
Issues
There are various issues raise during the cyberbullying of the person, so such issues are
described below:
Low self-esteem.
Spending alone time and withdrawal from family and friends.
Loosing weight or changing appearance.
Change symptoms in personality such as anger, depression crying, withdrawn
(Cyberbullying, 2017).
Control measures
Cyberbullying can be prevented by various control measures which are described under:
The best way by which it can be prevented is conversation with the victims
(Charalampous and et.al., 2018). Victims guardian need to talk with the victim about the
problems in general.
Engage social gathering and make the environment positive.
The only things which contribute towards the prevention is saving the online evidance
and taking strict action against it.
Suggestions
Cyberbullying is an inoffensive act which need to be soon resolved. Such suggestions
are:
