INTRODUCTION
Today, cyberbullying has become one of the most important problems being faced by the
world. The arrival of internet and social media have given a push to the practices of
cyberbullying. It has become important for the government and the countries across the world to
imply strict legislations in order to deal with the problems of cyberbullying (Brochado, Soares
and Fraga, 2017). The present report showcases what is cyberbullying and the rules impacting it.
Along with it, the report explains what the rules can do and their impact on practices of
cyberbullying.
MAIN BODY
Learning Outcome 1
Cyberbullying refers to a form of harassment or bullying using electronic means. It is a
form of a online bullying. Today, our world is facing a serious issues in which people are being
bullied online and it is impacting their physical and mental health. To deal with this,
governments across the world are making use of strict regulations and implications. Platforms
such as Facebook, Instagram, Google and Twitter are some of the platforms where people are
being bullied on a regular basis. It is important for the government to pass important legislations
and ensure that the practices of cyberbullying are being eliminated. The legislations ensure that
the practices of cyberbullying are under control are people are safe and secure.
As per the facts, it can be seen that today, 80% of teenagers make use of cellphones on a
regular basis and they tend to spend more and more time on the internet (11 Facts about
cyberbullying, 2018). This makes the teenagers to be easily receptive towards practices of
cyberbullying. When such practices takes place in the earlier times of their life, the individuals
tend to feel scared and worried throughout their lives (Bussey, Fitzpatrick and Raman, 2015). It
makes the individual suffer and hampers their personal growth and development. This makes it
important for the government to identify what factors are giving rise to the practices of
cyberbullying. Evaluation of these factors are going to provide the government with appropriate
understandings and would help them to reach new aspects to make required legislations.
Setting up legislation are going to help the government and the country to ensure that
required growth is taking place in eliminating the practices of cyberbullying. The laws can

maintain that the practices of cyberbullying are not more harming the lives of the individual and
if such activities are taking place then strict actions are being taken.
Learning Outcome 2
As per my opinion, it can be seen that today, nearly 43% of the kids are being bullied
online and to 1 out of 4, it has happened more than once. This data is huge and if the practices of
cyberbullying are not taken care appropriately, it can impact our society on large basis. The best
possible way to deal with this situation is to ensure that strict legal implications are being implied
on the criminals and crimes of cyberbullying (Guo, 2016). The benefits which the legal
implications are going to provide includes gaining better control over the content of the internet
and ensure that the content which is being posted is safe and secure. It is because most of the
victims of cyberbullying tends to get attracted from the type of content which is being posted by
the cyberbullies. The government needs to make policies and laws under which the content
which is being posted on the internet is regularly being regulated and checked. This can ensure
the safety and security of using the internet and social media platforms.
The other important aspect which the government can consider while implicating
required laws and legislation is to evaluate the age group which is making use of social media
and internet. According to the findings, the government can restrict the age group using social
media and internet. It can imply laws under which the social media websites while signing up
with new people has to ensure a age identification. This will make sure that children's and
teenagers are not making use of the internet and the social media websites, and most importantly
are not being involved in cyberbullying practices.
Learning Outcome 3
In order to ensure that the appropriate rules and regulations are being made, it is
important for the government to make use of appropriate skills. These skills include effective
communication. The government needs to ensure that effective communication is taking place
between the people which are making the laws and the victims which have been suffered from
the issues of cyberbullying (Hutson, 2016). It can help the government with finding the
appropriate guidelines and ensuring the required growth and development is taking place while
making laws. Communication would allow the government to imply required strict implications
and ensure that the practices of cyberbullying are being eliminated entirely.

The other effective skill which the government needs to make use of is time management.
It is because making use of appropriate time management would help the government to ensure
that required growth is taking place while creating laws and legislations (Kwak, Blackburn and
Han, 2015). It would help the government to manage time effectively while creating required
laws and most importantly ensure that the procedure is not taking a lot of time.
Along with it, the government can hire a team with effective individuals which acquires
the skill-set of understanding the needs and requirements of the community while creating laws.
It is important to understand the community needs and because they are the ones which are
facing and dealing with issues of cyberbullying. It can speed up the process and would ensure
that appropriate laws are being created effectively.
CONCLUSION
Cyberbullying is one of the major concerns being faced by our society. It is important to
ensure that appropriate laws and legislations are being made to deal with the problem of
cyberbullying. From the above report, it has been concluded that the government needs to
evaluate in what manner the problem of cyberbullying can be dealt with and and needs to make
appropriate laws and legislations accordingly. It can help the government to solve the problem of
cyberbullying effectively and ensure better safety of the society.
