INTRODUCTION
Travel and tourism is such a business which is taking a boom in today’s time. The craze
along the people for travel and experience is increasing in an increasing rate. There are all sorts
of travel destination for the people with different taste and preferences. There are places which
are very much lively and fun, there are some places which provides sport and adventures
activities to the people, there are places which gives serene experience to the travelers like
Cyprus. Cyprus is an island in the country of Eastern Mediterranean. The country is rich with
scenery, beaches, nature and peace (Ayeh, Au and Law, 2013). People travel there for holiday to
rest and enjoy into the lap of nature.
This report discuss above the experience which I had when I visited to Cyprus. The
reports include my experience, the culture, traditional related with that place. Along with it the
report also includes the difference between the videos or images of Cyprus shown at
advertisement and the actual Cyprus.
TASK
Destination and travel experience
If you are looking for a destination for diverse island then Cyprus is the best place to visit. The
cities of Cyprus have all the required amenities one may require and they are destinations for
every taste. The place is easily accessible through Greece and Turkey. It is very much affordable.
There are very small towns consisting of beaches as well as they also have the large cities. I
prefer the tourist to rent a car to roam around the cities, this would be best for them.
Last month I travel to a place called Cyprus. It is an island which is located in the Eastern
Mediterranean. It is located into Turkey has said to be have third largest population island into
the south of Turkey. The island is very much known for its culture, nature, scenery, beaches and
traditions. In particular I visited to Agia Napa and Protaras. Agia napa have the most wonderful
and amazing caves which are easily accessible through boat. Agia Napa is the resort town in the
south of Cyprus. The resort is surrounded by bars and clubs which makes the resort very much
lively. The people who visits there goes to the bars And clubs for the enjoyment purpose. The
people or the tourist enjoys a great night life in the city. There they drink, dance, visits beached
at night, sings karaoke and the much more (Chung and Koo, 2015). There are many other
destination which a person can visit beside of clubs and bar, some of them are cape Greco,
Makronissos Beach, Water park, Monastery of napa, Landa beach, Thalassa and so on. All these
places which I just have mentioned add beauty to the city. At the beach there are many water
sports also which a person can experience, these sports includes river rafting, deep water diving
and much more. There the travelers also visited to caves, mountain, or rocks for hiking purpose.
The Napa has a very vibrant nightlife which the travelers or the tourist enjoys the most.

Protaras is again a resort town which is located at eastern of Cyprus. The town is very
much famous for its beaches and fig tree bay. The nightlife of this town is not as much vibrant as
of Agia Napa, people or travelers can visit there with families, as it is a family based destination.
The town is the neighbor of Agia Napa. They both are very much adjacent to each other. Apart
from beaches and trees there are various other places which travelers can visit, some of them are
Church of St. Elias, Fig Tree bay, Moonshine ranch, diving, Sirena bay, Nissi beaches and much
more. The town gives peace and silence for the tourist. The culture which both the town follows
is Greek and Turkish.
When a person needs to enjoy the nightlife, clubs or bars he can visit to Agia Napa, but if a
person has to enjoy the beaches and the nature he must visit to Protaras (Cohen, Hanna and
Gössling, 2018). The photos or the videos which I have seen of these both destinations is exact
same of their actual scenes. Both these destination look exact same into the photos and in reality.
Both these places were wonderful as well as relaxing. The amount of joy these places have given
to me to magnificent and beautiful. The stayed there for four days, among two of them I stayed at
Agia Napa and the other two at Protaras. The water sports which I did there have filled me with
adventure and excitement. The night life which I had experienced there was so fun that i could
not get over from the places. I visited there with two of my other friends so I did not felt a need
for group. For guiding purpose, we already made arrangements with the hotel which has
provided us with the required guide who provides the necessary guidance to us. Our Guide did
caution us about drinking at night and suggested us to not to drink too much or if not any one of
us should be sober to handle the rests. At Agia Napa we hired a car by which we used to travel to

different places or beaches, this has saved a lot of time for taking convenience and also money.
Thanks to the advanced technology which has helped us in navigating the places and search
more about them to make ourselves aware about the destinations and people. The Shopkeepers of
napa are very clever and a person has to do barging for the products. The true value for the
products can be known from google which the things we also use while doing shopping (Fotis,
Buhalis and Rossides, 2012).
The whole culture and tradition of both the towns was very much different and soothing.
Knowing the culture and traditions of different people is always a fun task to perform. Through
this the people gets to experience different cultures and traditions which increases the knowledge
in a person only. I came to known about these places via Instagram where the country Cyprus
has done its tourism marketing. After scrolling to the posts I googled the place to know more
about it. I also consulted to few travel agency to grab more knowledge about these places.
Information includes about the budget for travel, is the country is safe to travel, best time to visit,
places to visit and the so forth. After acquiring the required information, we made our plan which
I got very much satisfied.
Various medias used in marketing
My first encounter with the country Cyprus was at Instagram where in watch the posts
done by county travel and tourism marketing team. From the photos the country looked much
fun as well as also serene (Kang and Schuett, 2013). Later I also found out their same page at
facebook also, there the team has posted the pictures of various destinations like beaches, water

sports, churches, monasteries, trees, rocks , caves and etc. Some pictures were also related to the
bars and clubs telling about the night life of the towns. Also after watching all the videos which
were posted into the page, the country looked appealing and good. I saw the videos of tourists
who traveled there in the videos they tells about their experiences and the things and fun they did
there. From the videos also the place were looking as a must visit place. Later I also to dig more
information took the help of google, there I research more about the place, apart from this I
consulted to some travel agency in which told me about the best places to visit in Cyprus. The
agency suggested me with these two towns, Agri napa and Protaras. Then again I researched
about these two places and dig information about the things which I can do in these towns
(Mizrachi and Fuchs, 2016). There I wrote down the list of things and destination which I have
to visit there. I promotional and advertising activities which were done by the travel and tourism
team of the country were totally true as the places which I visited there were same as the pictures
which I have seen at their instagram and facebook posts. The place was worthy to visit and the
memories which we made there are priceless. Although Me and my friends did face some issue
regarding food as we are pure vegetarian. If you are non vegetarian the place will provide you
with delicious sea dishes and food but if you are a vegetarian it will be a great difficulty for you
to find a decent vegetarian restaurant or café (Munar and Jacobsen, 2013).
The country is taking care of their travelers and tourist people very much by ensuring the
safety there. The country has also comes up with polices and rules regarding travelers which is
obligatory for the people of country to follow. The travelling campaign of the Cyprus is very

attractive showing the beaches, rocks, sand, caves, culture and traditions of the country. The
cleanliness in the town in which we visited was very good. The cities were clean, roads were
broad and also there were the facilities and amenities (Scott and Orlikowski, 2012). Me and My
friends enjoyed a lot at these two places, we came back with lot of memories which were
priceless for us, we enjoyed the night life, the beaches, all the water sports, caves, trees, the
nature, sun and the tan, bars and clubs and the much more.
CONCLUSION
From the report discuss above, the experience which I had in two of the towns of Cyprus
has been discussed. Both the towns are adjacent to each other and both the towns were rich with
beached and nature. There are many places or destination which one can visit. The towns have
all the things which a traveler looks for (Sigala, Christou and Gretzel, 2012). They have
nightlife, bars, clubs , beaches, rocks, churches , monasteries, caves, food and much more. The
tradition and culture are also very appealing. The posts and the videos which are posted at the
social platform sites like facebook, instagram and at google are same as they seem in reality.
Both the places are beautiful and worth to visit. I visited with my other 2 friends and we all had
much fun and peace at these places.
