AI Summary
This essay summarizes and analyzes two articles: one on exploiting social ties for cooperative Device-to-Device (D2D) communications in mobile social networks, and the other on social networking sites and addiction, highlighting ten lessons learned. The author argues that the D2D communication article is more persuasive due to its practical evidence and potential for real-world applications. The essay explores how articles on D2D communication can contribute to the literature by enabling location-based and peer-to-peer applications, and concludes by emphasizing the importance of understanding both D2D communication and the impacts of social networking sites on users. Introduction
The paper is based on summarizing two of the articles namely: “Exploiting Social
Ties for Cooperative D2D Communications: A Mobile Social Networking Case” and “Social
networking sites and addiction: Ten lessons learned”. In this paper, there is presenting of
some arguments related to which of these two articles is more persuasive and how those are
helpful in literature.
Summarise two articles
Exploiting Social Ties for Cooperative D2D Communications: A Mobile Social Networking
Case
This article is aimed to develop an understanding of the mobile social networking. It is
exploited social ties in the human social networks for enhancement of cooperative D2D
communications. As the handheld devices are carried out by the human beings, therefore two
social phenomenon are leveraged such as social trust plus social reciprocity for promoting
cooperation among the devices. Social trust is notion of trust which appeals to network plus
communication designers. On the other hand, social reciprocity is a flow of the social
interaction which refers how the human behaviour influences by behaviour of other person.
The performance of social mechanisms are evaluated by means of social data traces (Chen et
al., 2015). D2D communication is resulted in an innovative network architecture moreover
application which ca define state of art focused on wireless connectivity. Based on the paper
evidence, there is convergence among D2D communications in addition to social networks
increase attention of methodical community that initiated to apply characteristics from social
networks in order to increase performance of D2D communication. In this study, role of
sociality is not provided in details (Bello & Zeadally, 2016). Social networks for D2D

communication is referred to exploit interaction patterns among users, people in addition to
objects.
Social networking sites and addiction: Ten lessons learned
The online social networking sites (SNS) gain a popularity with engaged SNS for
connecting and interacting with others. This paper is based on presenting insights to online
SNS and ten lessons learned based on SNS and addiction. The ten lessons learned
summarized in this paper are social networking and media which are not same, SNS is
eclectic, way of being, and individuals are addicted to the sites of social networking and
Facebook addiction (Kuss & Griffiths, 2017). Other lesson learned are dear to miss out,
addiction of smartphone, nomophobia, socio demographic differences and methodological
problems. Those ten lessons learned investigate addiction to SNS. Based on the evidence,
there is way forward to emerging field of SNS. It requires to establish consensual nosological
accuracy, such that the researchers can establish productive communication among involved
parties (Perrin, 2015). It enables reliable plus valid assessments of addiction towards SNS
and linked behaviours.
Suggestion on which article is more persuasive
Among two of the articles, the article “Exploiting Social Ties for Cooperative D2D
Communications: A Mobile Social Networking Case” is more persuasive as this article
consists of practical evidences to understand cooperative D2D communications. As the
mobile devices strive to accommodate and increase in load, direct communication among the
users devices emerge solution for offloading of traffic. Formation plus operation of D2D
networks is a challenge as peers can satisfy with different networks related to constraints.
There is social interaction at the medium access levels which are being affected by social
features. Mobile devices are playing a key role into social networks as the users are not able

to provide media services as same as desktop computers. In D2D social networks, there is
inherent cooperation among the users.
Explanation of articles will be helpful in literature
Articles related to Device to Device (D2D) communications is helpful as with this
literature context, direct communications among the devices has potential to create location
based and peer-to-peer applications plus services. This types of articles aim to investigate
state of the social driven D2D communications. There is an analysis of the literature
investigation towards directions which social ties will improve D2D communications. In last
few decades, one of the main feature of technical development is increasing need of exchange
of data among various mobile plus fixed devices.
Conclusion
It is concluded that these two articles highlight D2D communication and social
networking sites under effects of the social users. It is proposed social aware cooperative
D2D protocol which can encourage usage of friendly users as communicate in addition
diminish consumption of energy of D2D supportive networking. There is also description of
practical concerns which raise when there is incorporation of social awareness in D2D social
networking. Information those are sharing in SNS provides basic data related to social
interaction via use of mobile devices. It provides an opportunity to new generation for
interact with each other.
