AI Summary
This report analyzes dabbing trends in the United States, focusing on the emerging method of marijuana ingestion and its associated public health implications. The study utilizes Google Trends data from 2004 to 2015 to assess the scope and breadth of information seeking on dabbing, including related topics like electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). The analysis explores the correlation between dabbing and ENDS searches, regional distribution of dabbing searches, and the impact of cannabis legalization policies. The findings reveal an increase in dabbing-related searches over time, with significant correlations between dabbing and vaping trends. The research underscores the importance of understanding these trends for healthcare protocol development and public health campaigns, particularly given the limited surveillance data on dabbing practices. The report highlights the need for further investigation into the potential dangers associated with dabbing and the role of social media in disseminating information about this practice.
