Home is ultimate objective for making better usage of availability of the resources and it
enhances quality of the services presented to people. It can lead to reduce operational cost of
facilities. Monitoring of the daily activities as well as generating wellness profile for people is a
key focus of this study (Santoso & Vun, 2015). The Smart City approach is used Smart Home
scenario but there are aspects of data analysis as well as machine learning which can define
facilities of the solutions related to Smart Home.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is referred to physical devices in entire world which are
connected to internet, collecting as well as sharing of data. There is addition of levels of digital
intelligence to the devices which would enable to communicate into real time data with no
human beings are involved (Yaqoob et al., 2017). It merges digital as well as physical world. The
smart home technology is to be taken so that it is provided with homeowner’s security,
convenience as well as energy efficiency by permitting to control over the smart home devices.

The research topic “Identify Activities of Daily Life in a Smart Home Environment with
the Internet of Things”, is selected for this research study so that it can discuss on advancements
of the sensors as well as Internet off Things being provisioned the home automation. There are
various opportunities which are taken to develop the smart home applications. There are various
applications of smart home are being discussed in this research paper so that the reader can
understand the benefits of it to be used into the home. There are fixed sensors which are being
