INTRODUCTION
Brief description about the data
The process of examining, cleaning, altering and demonstrating data with an objective of
determining important information, finding conclusions and formulate important decisions. The
present report is based on the case study of Facebook and the raw data that is collected represents
the number of users of Facebook from the quarter 1 of the year 2011 to the quarter 4 of the year
2021. The report also includes the change in the number of active users of Facebook over a
period of time. The current report is based on the percentage, graphs and formation of charts in
order to interpret the statistically.

Interpretation
Mean
Mean indicates the average of the current data set. From the calculations made, it is
analysed that there are around 1153.5 million people all over the world who are the active users
Facebook and uses the Facebook on a regular basis (Claudia, Leogrande, and Manca, 2020).
Mode
Another tool that is used for the purpose of statistical analysis is Mode. With the use of
Mode, raw data can easily be converted in to meaningful information. Mode is the most observed
value in a particular data set. However, the current data set do not have any mode. This means
that there are not a specific number of users of Facebook that are constantly repeating the given
data set.
Median
Median is tool of statistics which helps in determining the middle value of a data set
when arranged in ascending order. From the analysis of the data, it has been identified that the
median value of the current data set is 1167.954545 million. This represents the middle value of
the users of the users of Facebook (Dean, and Illowsky, 2018).

Interpretation
Sum
Sum is that value of a data set that is received after adding all the value of a data set.
After analysing the above stated information, it has been determined that the total number of
users of Facebook are about 51390 million all over the world. This figure has been determined as
a result of adding all the users starting from the quarter 1 of the 2011 to the quarter 4 of the 2021.
Average
Average can be understood as the mean that was identified for the purpose of converting
the raw data into the useful information. It is a measure of central tendency which helps in
determining the average value of the data set (Kosmidis, Kenne Pagui,. and Sartori, 2020). From
the above calculation, it can be stated that the average number of users of Facebook on a regular
basis all over the world is 1167.95454 million.
Count
Count can be defined as the total number of observations that are going to be considered
for the purpose of converting the raw data in to the formation of useful information. It is
generally in order to quantify the data. From the above data, it has been determined that there a

total 44 observations which have been considered for the purpose of calculating the necessary
information. The 44 observations that have been considered are a result of the data that is
collected starting from the Quarter 1 of the year 2011 till the quarter 4 of the year 2021.
Max
This is an auto sum feature that is used to state the highest value present within the whole
data set. On the basis of the above analysis, it has been observed that the highest value within the
data set that is the maximum value of Facebook users till now is 1930 million.
Min
Another feature of the auto sum in Min feature. It is used for the purpose determining the
lowest value from the whole data set. On the basis of interpretation, it has been determined that
the lowest value from the whole data is 372 million. This states that the minimum number of
people who uses the Facebook on a daily basis is 372 million (Moriarty, Held, and Richardson,
2018).
Manipulation of data using percentage formula
Interpretation
As per the observations made on the data set, it has been determined that the number of
users that the company had in the year in which it initiated its business operations were 372

million. Currently, Facebook has a number of around 1929 million users which use the Facebook
On a regular basis. The number of users that have rose in the list of users of Facebook from the
year 2011 to the year 2021 is humungous i.e., 1557 million users all over the world. This means
that the Facebook has gained a lot of popularity among the target audience which has led to this
huge increase in the number of users of the company (Zhou, 2022). There are a number features
that is constantly increasing the growth of the company, it includes innovative features,
connectivity, easy to use user interface, constant upgrades and many more. Moreover, the team
of Facebook is constantly working towards engaging the current users and attracting new
customers towards the brand.
Representation
The present data represents the number of active users of Facebook starting from the
quarter 1 of the 2011 till the quarter 4 of the year 2021. On the basis of the interpretations made,
it can be determined that the number of users of Facebook has constantly rose ever since the
company has been launched in the market (Zhou,). In the quarter 1, the number of users of
Facebook were recorded to be 372 million and in the year 2021, quarter 4, the users of Facebook

have been recorded as 1929 million. This states the ability of Facebook to attract new customers
towards the brand.
CONCLUSION
Based on the observations made above, it can be stated the number of users of Facebook
starting from the year in which the company has been launched in the market have constantly
rose. The current study has been able to determine the figures with respect to the mean, mode
and median of the Facebook i.e., 11.53 million, N/A and 1167.95454 respectively. There has
been made use auto sum features for the purpose of conducting manipulation of the raw data
which includes sum, average, count, min, and max. The report has covered all the necessary
charts and graphical representation of the data set with respect to the users of the Facebook.
