Abstract:
Considering the rapid growth of technology the increased use of information has been
observed that which is attracting several significant issues. As information is one of the essential
assets of IT organizations or any IT system it is identified that providing security to those
information is very essential in order to maintain information confidentiality within the IT
organization. Making allowance to these concerns this paper will consist a detail discussion on
the incorporation of data governance within the business structure of BBVA Compass and CZ.
With the purpose to discuss the effectiveness of the data governance into organizational
infrastructure of these two identified organizations.
Followed by these identification in this paper it is also discussed that how the application
of data governance technologies has helped the organization to get competitive advantages over
the other organizations. Along with this the benefits from these technologies as well as the
influenced business factors are described in this paper.

Introduction:
In the field of information technology data governance is nothing but a concept that
manages the information present within the organization as well as provide effective protection
to the organizational data. Making allowance to these concern it is identified that for any IT
organization it is very essential to implement effective data governance tool which will help to
gain competitive advantages over the other organizations (Alhassan, Sammon & Daly 2019).
Considering these identification this paper has effectively focused on the analysis of two
organization which has enabled data governance strategies into their business infrastructure.
While analyzing this aspect this paper will also consist a detail elaboration on the impact of data
governance technology as well as the discussion on the business factors influenced by the
adoption of these technologies.
Background of the organization:
While analyzing the significance of data governance there are several organization who
has incorporated effective data governance tool into their business infrastructure. Followed by
this analysis it is observed IBM is one of the best service provider that provides effective data
governance solution to the organization. Considering these identification it is observed that
BBVA Compass is one of the banking industry that delivers effective financial services to its
customers (BBVA Compass 2020). Along with this it is identified that CZ is one of the insurance
company whose primary objective is to support the software development process (CZ 2020).
Followed by these identification it is observed that these two selected organization has several
confidential user information which needs to be protected with highest priority. Making
allowance to this concern it is identified that both id these organization has successfully
incorporated effective IBM data governance solution into their business infrastructure. The

BBVA Compass has utilized the IBM Unified Governance and Integration data governance
solution with the purpose to protect their banking data. Similarly CZ has utilized the IBM
solution with the purpose to automate and optimize the data management process within the
organization (Jimenez, Polo & Duarte 2019).
Implemented Technology:
As it is discussed earlier that BBVA Compass and CZ Insurance has incorporated the
IBM data governance tool within the organization it is also observed that IBM data governance
tools offer the feature of data governance flexibility, data cataloging, data protection and privacy
as well as the confidentiality of the data. Followed by these identification the BBVA Compass is
known for delivering effective data protection strategies as well as it helps to analyze the
business data with the purpose to enhance the business decision making approach. Being a
banking organization initially BBVA Compass has faced several challenges while handling their
user data. Similarly the CZ being an insurance company has also incorporated the IBM solutions
with the purpose to reduce the data risks as well as the threats related to the data confidentiality
(Joshi et al., 2018). Initially the CZ has faced significant problem related to user data protection
as well as to optimize the solution by analyzing these data.
Followed by a thorough investigation it is identified that these two organizations has
incorporated the IBM data governance solutions with the purpose to enhance their services. As
IBM solution has always supported the data protection strategies as well as it always delivers
effective services by analyzing the business data which enhances the decision making
approaches of the businesses (Koltay 2016).

As per the above discussion it is identified that the adoption of Data governance has
significantly impacted the business services of the nominated organizations. Followed by a
thorough investigation it is identified that BBVA Compass intended to adopt effective data
governance strategies within their organizational infrastructure with the purpose to drive new
approaches as well as to eliminate the risk related to the data threats. Hence, the adoption of IBM
solution has helped the organization to improve the capabilities of the organization by effectively
managing the business data via an integrated business platform. One of the members of BBVA
Compass has stated that IBM data governance solution has effectively integrated their business
policies as well as the information management has helped to improve their business services
(Ladley 2019).
Followed by this analysis it is identified that initially CZ insurance company has also
faced several challenges while managing the organizational data. However, followed by the
incorporation of the data governance the company has experienced a significant enhancement
into their database management. This adoption has optimized and automated the business data
management process. During this discussion it is also identified that IBM solution has also
enhanced the business service of CZ by speeding up the process of software development which
enables the organization to work effectively with tight deadlines.
Information Deficiencies:
Followed by the above considerations data governance also attracts several limitations
apart from the offered benefits. Making allowance to these concern it is identified that the
organization has faced several limitations due to the complexity of the data governance
infrastructure. Along with this it is also observed that within the organizational infrastructure of

BBVA Compass and CZ insurance there is a huge significance of lack of communication
between the stakeholders as well as related to the organizational budget (Wróbel, Komnata &
Rudek 2017).
Apart from some of the ethical issues related to user data analysis, there are no such
information deficiencies within these organizational infrastructure.

Apart from the identification of limitations the list of benefits are mentioned below:
