This project presents a comprehensive database system analysis and design for an aged care facility. The project begins with a system vision that identifies the problem of elderly individuals lacking proper care and proposes a website to connect donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries. It outlines system capabilities, including donor registration, login, and donation processing, as well as beneficiary registration and request submission. The business benefits encompass improved time management, information security, increased donations, and efficient beneficiary selection. The project includes a detailed project plan, covering stakeholders, scope, schedule, and budget. It justifies the system's importance in streamlining processes and enhancing security. 1 System vision
1.1 Problem Description
The AGED CARE CENTER is one of the major organization that takes care of the old people by
providing some care facilities which includes food, money ,cloths and medication, however the
organization identified a problem in the society where most of the aged people are left by their
siblings where most of them live in a miserable life and also dies due to lack of good care both
nutritional wise, clothing and health.
The organization had been operating since 2015 where they assist the elderly from their homes
and they provide them with the food, clothes and medications, the organization had been getting
funds from the well wishers, volunteers and also the donors where they deliver their services and
contributions through the organization head offices.
The major problem that the organization had faced is to record the volunteer’s details, the
donors, well wishers, the beneficiaries and the contributions and therefore the management had
proposed to implement the website to allow online registration of donors, and well wishers and
also to enable them to send their contributions and donations at any time [9].

1.2 System Capabilities
In order to streamline the services delivery in the old age care company the management had
proposed the online system that has various capabilities and it will support use by various users
which includes the administrator, the donors and the beneficiaries, therefore the development of
the proposed system will cover various target areas which includes the following:
i. The registration of the donors.
This is where the system will enable the donors who are various places to view the website and
register so that they can be able to login wherever they want to make the contributions and
donations.
ii. The login of the donors.
The system will enable the donors who are registered to login in the system after which they are
able to view the various donations that are available therefore make the donations to assist the
aged elders.
iii. The contribution and payment of donations by the donors.
This is where the users and the donors enter the donation details and then enter amount to donate
for the old age , in this case the donors enter their mode of payments like the paypal and visa
cards and the amount to contribute for the organization [7].
iv. The registration of the beneficiaries.
This is where the beneficiaries or their representatives register in the system in order to submit
their details for them to be considered during the allocation of the donation facilities to the old
age people
v. The login of beneficiaries.
This is where the beneficiaries are able to login the system using their usernames and passwords
and then submit their request for the donations to the company and they are provided with the
donations if their needs are genuine.

1.3 Business Benefits
The proposed system will be of great importance to the organization operations, however the
various stakeholders of the system will also benefit from the system in various ways, the
proposed system will be used by various group of people who includes the staffs and system
administrators, the donors who includes the volunteers, well wishers and the financial donors.
Therefore there will business benefits that will be derived from the proposed system which
includes the following:
i. It will help in time management as the donors will be registering online at their
convenience [10].
ii. It will help in organization information management where the users can access the
required information with ease.
iii. It will help in improving the information security such that the necessary donor’s
information will not be accessible by unauthorized users [11].
iv. It will improve the level of donations income as the system will enable many donors
even in other countries to offer their contributions.
v. It will help to receive the beneficiaries request easily as the beneficiaries will be able
to submit their details online at their convenience [6].
vi. It will help in selection of the beneficiaries of the donations by analyzing the
applications from the various beneficiaries.

1.5 Project justification
The proposed system will be of great importance as it will help in the computerizing the general
organization processes and it is therefore justifiable to be implemented due to the following
reasons.
i. The system will make it easy for the beneficiary’s registration.
ii. The system will make it easy for the beneficiary’s login and making the application
for donations.
iii. The system will make it easy for the donor’s registrations.
iv. The system will make it easy for the donors to give their donations for the old age
people.
v. The system will enhance security for the system user details to be accessed by
unauthorized users.
vi. The system will enhance secure payment and finances as the payments will be done
online using paypal or cards.
vii. The system will increase the number of donors who are willing to contribute since it
will be accessible globally.

viii. The system will help in the time and resources management as the users will be
operating the system at their convenience and concurrently as well.
1.6 What you would do differently next time
After the review and the feedback I will do the modification of the system in order to ensure that
the system is able to meet all the requirements. In the next time development there are various
things that I will prefer to do differently which includes the following.
i. To design the database using the SQL server software.
ii. Designing the system using the web technologies like the asp.net and C#.
iii. Simulating the website using the local hosts like the xampp servers.
iv. Including the mobile money as a new mode of payment for the donations [3].
Using the new techniques it will be easier to implement the system fully and ensure all the
functionalities are implemented before hosting to the online server for use by various users.

1.9.1 Functional requirements
Below are the various functional requirements to be implemented in the system , these
requirements indicates the various operations that can be performed by the various system users
who includes the staffs, donors and old age applicants for the donations.
i. The system should enable the donors to register.
ii. The system should enable the applicants to register.
iii. The system should enable the donors and applicants to login.
iv. The system should enable the donors to pay for their donations.
v. The system should enable the applicants to apply for donations.
vi. The system should enable the staffs or admin to view the donations.
vii. The system should enable the staffs to view the donations applicant’s[1].

Below are some of the non functional requirements which includes the various constraints that
the system should meet in its operations by the various system users.

i. The various users found the registration process very simple and easy to use and they
recommended it to be the way it is.
ii. On the login part the users also found it easy to use where they use their usernames
and passwords to login with ease.
iii. The users also tested the donation payment process and found it efficient and also
they recommended the addition of more payment modes like the PayPal, payoneer,
visa card, master card and also the mobile money.
iv. The users also tested the old age donation application process and they found it
smooth and efficient and should be implemented that way.
