Report
AI Summary
This report delves into the integration of web and database technologies for improved data efficiency and accessibility, focusing on the design of a web application for a football coach, Bruce, to track player data and session attendance. It emphasizes the importance of a well-designed database, accessible via the cloud, for storing player details and session information. The report outlines the steps involved in implementing a web database technology, starting with requirement analysis to understand the coach's needs, followed by database design, logical and physical database design, implementation, testing, and ongoing monitoring and maintenance. It highlights key considerations such as data security, disaster recovery, and efficient communication between the coach and players. The report also references several sources to support the concepts discussed.

DATABASE CONCEPTS
Today, the web and the database technology should be integrated for efficiency and availability
of data. Most of the services in the web are more convenient to use. For Bruce to have a great
system that will help him track and record the operational data, then a well-designed web
application must be designed for him. The web application will include the user interface and the
database. The User Interface is the graphical use where he can send sms and also the players can
easily registers for the sessions. The database is where the data is store about the player details
and the sessions attended by each player.
The database is the most important part, as the database design must be appropriate. The data
should be stored in the cloud so as it is accessible anytime and anywhere. The database
application to be designed must be fast to use. The web pages which is the user graphical
interface should be integrated with the database (Distributed Database Integrated Transaction
Processing Technology Research, 2017). The web database must be designed in a way to deal
with disaster recovery, redundancy data security and data loss. The database integration should
ensure data is accurate, timely and will enable the communication between the couch and the
players efficiently.
There steps that are required for the implementation of a wen database technology. The steps are
as discussed below (Arsenadevelopment.com, 2018).
First, requirement analysis involves understanding what the coach requires in his XYZ United
system. Bruce has been experiencing some challenges in maintaining his data operations. He
does not get accurate data of the number of players coming for the training lessons. The
requirements in this case is accurate data and a better track of players coming for the training
lessons. To collect the required information, a database analyst is required to understand all the
requirement Bruce need and also to understand how he goes about his daily operations with the
players (Dinata and Sunanda, 2015).
Database design the next step to make an effective web database design (Li, 2004). The database
design will in making a database model that will meet the requirement that Bruce requires. The
requirements that Bruce requires will be analyzed at this level. Then the data model designed
will be evaluated to see whether is suited all the requirement made by Bruce.

A logical database design will then be developed. The logical design include the designing of
the tables, views, transactions and the access privileges. There are some data the couch should
access but the players should not access. For example, the players should only view their
individual personal details, the available lessons, and the time to attend for the sessions. On the
other hand the couch is the administrator in the system, he should view all the players’ details,
the players available per session and the summary for every player’s attended sessions.
A physical database design is then developed in order to select the appropriate data storage. The
data storage chosen, is determined by the hardware, the access control and the database
management system. The right physical database design is required otherwise, the couch could
get an inefficient web data system. The network to be used is also determined at this level
(Bruno, 2017).
At the implementation level, a data storage is developed with the tables, data files and table
spaces. The data will be loaded on the servers. The data will include the players detail, the
training sessions and the attendance information. Once the data is loaded, testing will be done.
The testing done is to ensure performance integrity, data security, access control. The application
programmer and the database administrators should work on the testing. Once the system will be
tested and considered secure, efficient and accurate, the database system will be hosted on the
production database servers and the couch and the players will use the effective system (Zhang et
al., 2013). Frequent monitoring and maintenance will be required to ensure data security and
there is no data loss.
The players will be in a position to book for attendance sessions. Once they come for the lessons
the couch will confirm their attendance and the database will be update. The web database
system will ease the operation for the coach. And it will be easy to follow up of the session
attendance for the players.
